嵐山の名所の一つですが、本来は桂川の両岸を行き来するための重要な交通路です。ですが、桂川の開けた場所に架けられた橋であり、嵐山の四季折々の景色が見られることから、季節を問わず、また平日・休日を問わず観光客が訪れます。嵐山や桂川を背景に写真撮影する人も多くいます。
渡月橋の名前は、鎌倉時代の亀山天皇の「くまなき月の渡るに似る」という言に由来します。
重要な交通路であることは現代でも変わっていないため、大きな祭りやイベントでもない限り、車もひっきりなしに往来しています（路線バスのルートにもなっています）。歩行者は車道に出るべきではありませんが、いい写真を撮りたいがために車道に出ることが度々あり、交通トラブルが起きやすい場所でもあります。特に休日は歩道は観光客でごった返すため、通行もままならない時があり、強いストレスを感じることもあるでしょう。
渡月橋から上流の桂川は渓谷になっていることもあり、長雨等による川の増水、洪水被害が度々発生し、渡月橋の橋脚や欄干が損傷したり川に流されたりすることが度々あります。そのため、渡月橋周辺では災害防止のための補強工事が行われていることが多いです。そういった工事現場が自分の理想の写真撮影の妨げになる場合もありますが、工事そのものは非常に重要でありストップさせることは出来ないので、「理想の写真が撮影出来たらラッキー」程度に思った方がいいでしょう。

東京駅の八重洲の方の地上改札口を出て、さらに日本橋口の方へ歩くと、通路沿いにあるレストランです。落ち着いた雰囲気を醸し出す外装で、決して目立つような印象ではないものの、必ず目に留まるため気になる人も多いかと思います。
店名に『そば』とありますが、給仕される料理は蕎麦だけではなく、ラーメンやうどんも給仕されます。京都の名物料理の一つである『にしんそば』を始め、鶏ガラを出汁にとった『鶏そば』や、牛肉や鴨肉がトッピングされたうどんが主なメニューとなっています。『鶏そば』には、鶏白湯ラーメンに見られるようなクリーミーなスープの料理だけでなく、琥珀色をしたスッキリした味わいのスープの料理もあります。それ以外の蕎麦やうどんは、全てすっきりした味付けの醬油ベースのスープで、後味もじんわりと口に残るような多幸感を味わえると思います。
狭い店内であるため、入口と出口が分かれています。入口付近にある券売機で食券を購入する必要があります。外装だけでなく、内装やスタッフの装いから、やや格式の高いお店のような印象を受けますが、実際は町中のラーメン店とほぼ変わらず、気軽に立ち寄ることが出来ます。一方で各客席の間隔も広くはないため、お喋りをして寛ぎながらゆっくり食事をする店、という印象はありません。そのためか、客の回転は悪くありません。
経営母体が京都にある本家西尾八ツ橋であるため、給仕される食事には『八ツ橋』が1つ付いてくるのも、このレストランの特徴の一つです。

Although the name of the restaurant is "Soba," it serves not only Soba but also Ramen and Udon noodles. The main menu items include "Nishin-soba," a Kyoto specialty, "Tori-soba," made with chicken stock broth, and udon noodles topped with beef or duck. "Tori-Soba" includes not only the creamy broth found as Chicken White Broth Ramen, but also amber-colored broth with a clean taste. All other soba and udon dishes are made with a clean, clean-tasting shoyu-based broth that leaves a lingering, euphoric aftertaste that will leave a lasting impression on your mouth.
Due to the small size of the restaurant, there are separate entrances and exits. You must purchase a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine located near the entrance. The exterior as well as the interior and the attire of the staff give the impression of a rather prestigious restaurant, but in fact it's almost the same as ramen restaurants in town, and you can stop by casually. On the other hand, the space between each seat is not very wide, so it does not give the impression of a restaurant where you can relax while chatting and enjoying a leisurely meal. Perhaps because of this, the customer turnover is not bad.
One of the features of this restaurant is that each meal served comes with a "Yatsuhashi" (one of the famous wagashi in Kyoto), as the restaurant is owned and operated by Nishio Yatsuhashi in Kyoto.

良縁を結び、悪縁を断ち切ることで有名な神社です。有名な神社ではありますが、境内は広くなく、周遊するだけであれば30分程度で済みます。しかも周囲はマンションに囲まれており、住宅街に埋没しているような佇まいで、意識してアクセスしようとしなければ通り過ぎてしまうかもしれません。
札・お守り・絵馬の購入や授与、祈祷受付は営業時間が設けられていますが（9時～17時30分）、神社そのものは夜間でも開いており、夜間でも参拝することが出来ます（初詣などの特定の時期であれば、深夜でも社務所は営業しています）。
この神社の最も有名なスポットは『縁切り縁結び碑』で、碑の下部には人が一人通れるくらいの穴が開いております。参道側の穴からくぐると悪縁を断ち切ると言われ、反対側からくぐると良縁を結ぶとされています。
『縁切り縁結び碑』に無数に貼り付けられている札や、境内の各所に吊るされている絵馬には、様々な人々の良縁結び・悪縁切りの願い事が書かれ、自由に見ることが出来ますが、軽い気持ちで見ることはお勧めしません。特に悪縁切りの願い事はもはや呪詛に近く、（全く関係なくても）見る人の精神にダメージを与えることも少なくありません。それもあってか、特に悪縁切りの効果は絶大なのだそうです。

かなりクリーミーな鶏白湯スープのラーメンを堪能できるラーメン店です。麺やトッピングの具材にもスープがよく絡み、クリーミーですが決してくどくなく、最後まで美味しくいただけます。後味が残るものの決して不愉快に感じるものではありませんでした。雄々しい店名や店名の書体とは裏腹に、女性の利用客が多いのが見受けられます。
入口付近に設置されている券売機であらかじめ食券を購入する必要があります。店内は小ぢんまりとしており、特に出入口は狭く、且つ段差があるため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方は利用しづらいと思います。テーブル席とカウンター席がありますが、カウンター席の椅子がやや座り心地の悪いものであるため、あまりお勧めできません。

This ramen restaurant offers ramen noodles in a fairly creamy chicken white broth. 蒲田駅の商業施設のレストラン街にあるトンカツ料理を給仕するレストランで、外観・内装共に、典型的な百貨店のレストラン街にある和食レストランのそれらと同じです。各テーブルを利用するグループで食事や会話を楽しんでほしいからか、レストラン内は仕切りがやや多めに設置されており、一見するとスタッフを呼びづらそうに思いますが、各テーブルにスタッフを呼ぶためのブザーがあり、また空いている時間帯であれば、スタッフが（可能な限り）全ての席からでも見える場所に立っていることがあります。接客対応の質は全く問題ないと思います。
給仕される料理も、勿論全てにおいて質が高く、美味しくいただけます。豚肉が柔らかく拵えられているのは勿論ですが、一般的なトンカツ料理と比較するとかなり柔らかく、一方で肉そのものの弾力は少し物足りないかな？ という印象です（もしかしたら好みが分かれるかもしれません）。
このレストランで給仕される料理に、豚肉ではなく牛肉を使ったカツ料理がありますが、このレストランの人気メニューのようで、ランチタイムで全て売り切れてしまうことがあることに注意が必要です。

秩父地方の総鎮守である神社です。12月初旬に開催される『秩父夜祭』は、秩父神社の例祭の一つであり、初詣に匹敵する賑わいを見せますが、祭りが開催されない日でも（それが平日であっても）参拝者は比較的多く、秩父観光の折等で参拝する人が多いように見られます。
最寄り駅は秩父鉄道の秩父駅ですが、西武秩父駅、及び御花畑駅からでも徒歩で行くには特に苦にならない距離です。
創建は3世紀後半から4世紀ごろとされていますが、定かではありません。少なくとも10世紀半ばまでは『秩父神社（あるいは知知夫神社）』という名称でしたが、律令制度の崩壊により秩父神社を支えた豪族の力が弱まり、代わりに秩父の妙見社（妙見菩薩を祀る社）が創成され、それが幕末まで続きます。明治時代の神仏分離により、名称が『秩父神社』に戻り、今に至ります。
境内はそれほど広くはなく、周遊するだけであれば1時間と要しません。この神社の見どころとしては、主に本殿の随所に飾られている左甚五郎の作とされるものを含む多くの彫刻と、水占いの2つでしょう。彫刻群は基本的に人の目線と同じところに飾られておらず、建物の上部にあります。境内を周遊すると彫刻の在り処のサインが立てられていますので、探してみましょう（社殿そのものが重要文化財であり、随時修復・維持作業が行われているため、見ることが出来ない場合があります）。境内には『柞の禊川（ならのみそぎがわ）』という小さな小川が流れており、かつてはそこで参拝前の身の清めに利用されていましたが、今は『水占い』として利用されています。札所で『水占い』を購入し、それをこの小川の水に浸すと、吉凶を占う文字が現れます。持ち帰り用の袋も用意されているので、参拝の際は試してみるといいでしょう。

This shrine is the general guardian of the Chichibu region. The "Chichibu Night Festival" held in early December is one of the annual festivals of Chichibu Shrine, and is as crowded as Hatsumode (New Year's visit to the shrine), but even on days when the festival is not held (even weekdays), there are a relatively large number of visitors.
The nearest station is Chichibu Station on the Chichibu Railway Line, but it's not difficult to walk there from Seibu-Chichibu Station or Ohanabatake Station.
It's said to have been founded in the late 3rd or 4th century, but this is not certain. The shrine was called "Chichibu Shrine" at least until the mid-10th century, but with the collapse of the Ritsuryo system, the power of the powerful families that supported Chichibu Shrine weakened, and Myokensha (a shrine dedicated to Myoken Bosatsu) was established in its place, which continued until the end of the Edo period. With the separation of Shinto and Buddhism during the Meiji era, the name was changed back to "Chichibu Shrine" and has remained so to this day.
The shrine precincts are not very large, and it does not take more than an hour to walk around the grounds. The two main attractions of the shrine are the many sculptures throughout the main worship hall, including one attributed to Jingoro Hidari, and the "Water Fortune". The sculptures are generally not displayed at eye level, but rather at the top of the building. The shrine itself is an important cultural asset and is undergoing restoration and maintenance work from time to time, so you may not be able to see the sculptures. A small stream called "Narano-Misogi-gawa" flows through the precincts of the shrine, which used to be used for purification for visiting the shrine before, but is now used for "Water Fortune". If you purchase a "Water Fortune" at the ticket office and dip it in the water of the stream, a character that predicts good or bad luck will appear. A bag to take it home is also available, so you can try it out when you visit the temple.

三峰ビジターセンターから三峰神社に至るまでの参道の途中に位置する茶屋で、大衆食堂や土産物店も兼ねています。
飲食は店内用とテイクアウト用に完全に分けられており、店内用としては、秩父のご当地グルメである『わらじカツ丼』を始め蕎麦等を注文することが出来ます。一方のテイクアウト用としては、串まんじゅうや味噌田楽等を注文することが出来ます。テイクアウトで注文した食べ物を持って店内で飲食することは出来ず、また店内で注文した料理を、オープンテラス席以外の店外で飲食することは出来ませんので注意して下さい。
盛り付けや味付けに、奇を衒ったところはありませんが、やはり秩父の山々の新鮮な空気を吸いながら、また秩父の山々の絶景を愛でながらの食事は、店内・テイクアウトどちらであっても極上だと思います。三峰神社参拝の際は、是非訪れたい場所の一つだと思います。
テイクアウトで注文した際に出たゴミは、店の方で回収してくれます。

This teahouse is located on the approach to Mimine Shrine from the Mimine Visitor Center, and also serves as a diner and souvenir store.
The dishes and beverages are completely separated for in-diner and take-out. For in-diner use, you can order "Warajikatsu-don", a local Chichibu gourmet dish, as well as soba noodles and other dishes. For takeout, you can order "Kushi Manju" (skewered buns), "Miso Dengaku" (grilled miso dumplings), and other items. Please note that food ordered for take-out cannot be eaten inside the diner, and dishes ordered inside the diner cannot be eaten outside the diner except on the open terrace seats.
There are no eccentricities in the presentation or seasoning of the food, but the fresh air of the Chichibu mountains and the spectacular view of the Chichibu mountains make for an exquisite meal, whether you order in or take out. It's one of the best places to visit when you visit Mimine Shrine.
The diner will collect the garbage from your take-out order.

二宮駅を降りると北側にすぐに見つけることが出来る、吾妻山に整備された公園です。
山そのものが公園として整備されているものの、その多くが林で覆われており、且つ展望台として整備されている山頂の広場ですら平らなところはほぼ皆無であるため、ボール遊びなどは一切適しません。公園を利用する際は、少なくとも靴はトレッキングシューズ等林道でも歩きやすい靴を選んだ方がよさそうです。また公園内の散策路も所謂林道として整備されており、舗装されている箇所は多くありません。そのため、雨の日及び雨上がりなどは非常にぬかるむことにも注意が必要です。
山頂までのルートはいくつかありますが、最もポピュラーでアクセスしやすく、そのため人の往来が多いのが二宮駅から行くことが出来る『役場口』のルートです。しかしこのルートは300段近い急な階段であることに注意が必要です。階段の途中で休憩用の椅子が設けられているので、必要に応じて利用しましょう。
山頂近くに子供向けの遊具があり、特にローラー式の滑り台は子供たちに大人気です。遊具があるスペースにお手洗いがあります。
山頂は、1月～2月には菜の花が、4月には桜が咲き、晴れた日には遠くに富士山や丹沢が見え、その絶景を見たり写真に収めたりと多くの人が訪れます。同じく相模湾や小田原の遠望の素晴らしさは、ずっとそこから見ていたい程でしょう。菜の花や桜だけでなく、公園内ではツツジやシャクナゲ等の花も咲く等、1年を通して色とりどりの花々を楽しむことが出来ます。
林道の林は絶妙な間隔で植えられているため、夏は木漏れ日を感じつつも決して暑すぎることはありません。自然の中をゆったりとあるきながら避暑地として過ごすのもいいかもしれません。

This park is located on Mt. Azuma, which can be easily found on the north side of the train station after exiting Ninomiya Station.
Although the mountain itself is maintained as a park, most of it is covered with woods, and even the open space at the top of the mountain, which is used as a viewing platform, is almost not completely flat, making it unsuitable for playing with a ball or anything else. It's recommended that visitors to the park wear shoes that are comfortable for walking in the forest, such as trekking shoes. The walking paths in the park are also maintained as so-called forest paths, and not many of them are paved. Therefore, it is necessary to be careful that the paths become very muddy on rainy days and after rain.
There are several routes to the summit, but the most popular and accessible, and therefore the most frequented, is the "Yakuba-guchi" route, which can be accessed from Ninomiya Station. However, please note that this route has nearly 300 steep steps. Rest chairs are provided along the stairs, so use them as needed.
There is a playground space for children near the top of the mountain, and the roller slide is especially popular with children. There is a restroom in the area where the playground space is located.
On clear days, Mt. Fuji and Tanzawa can be seen in the distance, and many people visit the summit to see and photograph the spectacular view. The view of Sagami Bay and Odawara in the distance is so spectacular that you will want to stay and watch the scenery from there. In addition to rape blossoms and cherry blossoms, azaleas, rhododendrons, and other flowers bloom in the park, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of colorful flowers throughout the year.
The forest paths are planted at perfect intervals, so it is never too hot in summer, even though you can feel the sun shining through the trees. It may be a good idea to spend time at a summer resort while walking leisurely through nature.

三峰山周辺は、現在は絶滅したとされている『ニホンオオカミ』の生息地の一つとして知られており、そのため狼が、神社の眷属として神社の各所で見ることが出来る。境内のほぼ全ての領域が杉の木で覆われており、まさに森の中を散策しているような感覚を覚えるが、少なくとも本殿のある領域は参道は整備されているため、道幅も広く確保されており歩きやすい。山の中の神社であるため起伏は大きいが、前述の通り参道が整備されていることもあり、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方でも参拝することが出来る（単身では非常に難しいが）。参道が整備されているとはいえ、全ての道が舗装されているわけではない。そのため、歩きやすい服装・靴で参拝するのが好ましい。
遥拝殿、もしくは参道の途中にある茶屋等から、秩父の山々の絶景を眺めることが出来るのもこの神社の持つ魅力の一つだろう。

The only public transportation is buses. The road has a series of sharp curves, so please drive with caution and allow plenty of time. Another route is to take the trail from the Owa bus stop.

The shrine is located in the mountains, so there are many ups and downs, but as mentioned above, the approach to the shrine is well maintained and wheelchairs and other disabilities are able to visit the shrine (although it is very difficult for a single person). Although the paths are well maintained, not all of them are paved. Therefore, it is preferable to wear comfortable walking clothes and shoes.
One of the charms of this shrine is that visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the Chichibu mountains from "Yohai-den (the far worship hall)" or from the teahouses on the approach to the shrine.
If you only visit and explore the area where the main shrine is located, it will take about one hour. On the other hand, please note that a part of the Okumiya Shrine is a mountain trail. It takes at least 30 minutes on foot from the parking lot and bus stop.
The only public transportation is buses. Most visitors by car, including buses, use the road via Lake Chichibu, which is very crowded during the autumn foliage season (the parking lot fills up quickly and it can take up to an hour to get a parking space). The road has a series of sharp curves, so please drive with caution and allow plenty of time. Another route is to take the trail from the Owa bus stop.

金刀比羅宮の参道沿いにある、うどんの食堂です。店内で食事をする際は基本的に（様々な種類のトッピングが用意されている）うどんが主体ですが、入口脇に焼き鳥や焼かれた牡蠣がテイクアウトのみで販売されていることがあります。閉店近くまで元気よく集客しているスタッフの姿も見かけ、周辺を散策しているとすぐに目に留まるでしょう。
注文カウンターで、キツネうどんやわかめうどんなどを注文し、出来上がった時に受け取りカウンターで注文した料理を受け取るスタイルです。さらに、天ぷらやかき揚げなどは注文カウンター前に陳列されており（それぞれ値段が割り当てられています）、追加でトッピングしたい人のみ、セルフサービスで別に用意された皿に盛りつけます。会計時には、注文したうどんとセルフサービスで皿に盛りつけたトッピング類の合算の金額を支払う必要があります。なお、無料の水もセルフサービスです。
自家製のうどんが提供されるからか、注文から給仕まで時間を要する場合があります。うどんは、見た目こそ典型的ですが、うどんのツルツルした喉越しやコシは、まさに讃岐うどん、といった感じで、薄口の出汁がうまい具合に麺に絡み合い、最後まで美味しくいただけると思います。

This udon diner is located along the approach to Konpira Shrine. While udon (with a variety of toppings available) is basically the main dish when eating in the diner, yakitori or grilled oysters are sometimes available for takeout only by the entrance. You'll also see the staff energetically collecting customers until closing, and will easily catch your eye as you stroll around the area.
You can order kitsune udon, wakame (and so on) udon at the order counter, and when it's ready, you can pick up your ordered food at the pickup counter. In addition, tempura and kakiage are displayed in front of the order counter (each with an assigned price), and only those who wish to add additional toppings can place them on a separate self-service plate. At payment, you must pay the total amount of the udon order and the toppings you have added to your self-service plate. Free water is also self-service.
It may take some time from ordering to serving, perhaps because homemade udon is served. The udon noodles may look typical, but their smooth texture and firmness are just like Sanuki udon, and the light broth is well mixed with the noodles, making them delicious to the last bite.

羽根空港第1ターミナルの北ウィングの到着ロビーから出ると、すぐに目に飛び込んでくるレストランです。外観・内装全てにおいて日本の空港によくある典型的なレストランで、給仕される料理も、うどん・そば・ラーメン・炒飯等の、日本各地の食堂でよく見られる典型的な和食・中華料理です。
少なくとも、羽田空港に訪れる人が、わざわざこのレストランを選ぶことはないと思います。一方で、典型的ながら馴染みのある料理が給仕されるだけに、外国人観光客や、遠い地方から戻ってきた直後の馴染みのある味が恋しいと思う人、等であれば打ってつけのレストランかもしれません。国内線の到着ロビーではなく、国際線のレストランフロアにあると、外国人客の利用がもっと増えるのでは、と思うくらいです。
このレストランの特徴として、ダークカラーのスーツを身に纏った男性が注文・給仕に対応する、というところです。但し接客業に慣れている、というわけではなく、戸惑う様子も時々見られます。空いている時間帯でも注文から給仕まで時間がややかかる、という印象です。味や盛り付けに、このレストランならではの特徴的なものは無く、あくまで一般的な食堂で食べられる料理の味付けです。それは逆に、あれこれ身構えて考える必要なく、気を楽にして食事が出来ることを意味しているのかもしれません。

This restaurant immediately catches your eye as you exit the arrival lobby of the North Wing of Hane Airport Terminal 1. The exterior and interior are typical of restaurants in Japanese airports, and the dishes served are the typical Japanese and Chinese dishes that can be found in many cafeterias around Japan, including udon, soba, ramen, and fried rice.
At the very least, visitors to Haneda Airport would not go out of their way to choose this restaurant. On the other hand, the typical yet familiar dishes served at this restaurant may be perfect for foreign tourists or those who miss the familiar flavors of Japan after returning from far-flung regions. I think that if the restaurant were located on the restaurant floor of international flights instead of the arrival lobby of domestic flights, the number of foreign customers would increase even more.
One of the characteristics of this restaurant is that men in dark-colored suits take orders and serve customers. However, they are not accustomed to working in the hospitality industry, and sometimes appear confused. Even when the restaurant is empty, it takes a little time from ordering to serving. There is nothing unique to this restaurant in terms of taste or presentation. This may mean that you can enjoy your meal without any need to think too much about it.

焼き鳥を中心とした小皿料理が楽しめる、小さな居酒屋です。昭和初期から中期の路地にありそうな、ノスタルジックな外観をしていますが、店内は至って普通の居酒屋で、カウンター席とお座敷席が合わせて30席程度あります。出入口には段差があり、出入り口の扉は手動の引き戸となっているため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方は利用しづらいと感じるでしょう。
各テーブルに注文用の専用のシートと記入用の鉛筆が常備されており、そこに注文内容（数量や希望の味付けを含む）を記入してスタッフに提示します。
給仕される料理は、少なくとも見た目は他の居酒屋や焼き鳥店で給仕されるものと変わりはありません。焼き鳥そのものの味付けは控えめで、タレもしくは塩で味付けを選びます。特に塩はそれ程キツイ塩辛さはなく、まろやかな方です。一方で、この店ならではの特徴的な味付け、というわけではないように思いました。それでも、各焼き鳥がリーズナブルな価格で提供されているのはこの店の魅力の一つと言えます。なお、メニューの1つに、鶏の脚をまるごと香ばしく焼き上げる『山賊焼き』がありますが、これは注文から給仕までに30分要します。注文の際は注意が必要です。
スタッフの接客対応の質は可もなく不可もなくですが、時折注文した料理を間違えるミスがあります。

It's a small izakaya where you can enjoy small dishes centering on yakitori. It has a nostalgic appearance that looks like it could be found in an alley in the early to mid Showa period, but the interior is a perfectly normal izakaya, with a total of about 30 seats at the counter and in the tatami room. There are steps at the entrance and exit, and the door is a manual sliding door, so wheelchair users and people with other disabilities may find it difficult to use the restaurant.
Each table is equipped with special sheets for ordering and a pencil for filling out the sheet, on which you fill out your order (including quantity and desired seasoning) and present it to the staff.
The dishes served are no different from that served at other izakaya or yakitori restaurants, at least in appearance. The yakitori itself is moderately seasoned, and you can choose to have it seasoned with either sauce or salt. The salt, in particular, is not overly salty and is on the mild side. On the other hand, I did not think that this restaurant's unique seasoning was unique. Still, the reasonable price of each yakitori dish is one of the restaurant's attractions. One of the menu items is "Sanzoku-yaki" (grilled whole chicken leg), which takes 30 minutes from ordering to serving. Please be careful when ordering.
The quality of the staff's customer service is neither good nor bad, but they occasionally make the mistake of ordering the wrong dish.

建物内も庭園も、厳かながら穏やかな空気に包まれている寺院です。
休日や紅葉などの美しい季節の景色を見ることが出来る期間は、多くの参拝者・拝観者による賑わいを見せますが、通常時は参拝客は多くなく、特に閉館間際の時間帯は参道沿いのほとんどの店（茶屋や土産物店）が閉まるため一層参拝客もおらず、静謐な雰囲気が漂います。そのような中、庭園の一つである聚碧園を前に何も考えず座りながら、庭園の樹木の葉擦れの音や雨音といった自然の音だけが聞こえる、というのは、極上のひと時かもしれません。
寺院ではありますが建物内の至る所に仏像があるわけではなく、まるで名士の広々とした家屋のような印象です。常に清潔に保っており、気持ちよく寺院内を周回できるようになっています。建物そのものや庭園の撮影は許可されていますが、建物内は原則撮影禁止です。客殿から庭園を眺める広間は柱が多いため、ぶつからないように注意しましょう。また一部の引き戸の建付けが少し悪く、開閉がしづらいところにも注意が必要です。
四季折々の美しい景観を見せる庭園も、この寺院の見どころの一つです。金色堂や観音堂へは、基本的に階段を使って行く必要がありますが、スロープも設置されており、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方でも気軽に参拝できるよう整備されています。庭園を覆いつくす杉林が程よく日差しを遮っており、山中にある寺院であることも相俟って、夏でもあまり暑くありません。
従事する職員の方々の応対も非常に丁寧で、参拝客が少ない時には彼等から気さくに話しかけてくれたり等します。是非立ち寄っていただきたい寺院の一つだと思います。

Both inside the building and in the garden, the temple is surrounded by a solemn yet peaceful atmosphere.
The temple is crowded with visitors on holidays and during the beautiful season so as the autumn leaves etc., but during normal times, there are not many visitors, especially just before the closing hours when most stores and cafes along the approach (teahouses and souvenir stores) are closed, creating a tranquil atmosphere. It's a wonderful moment to sit in front of the Shuhekien Garden and listen to the sounds of nature, such as the rustling of leaves and the rain, without thinking.
Although it's a temple, there are no Buddha statues throughout the building, which gives the impression of a spacious house of a distinguished family. The temple is always kept clean, and visitors can make their way around the temple comfortably. Photography of the building itself and the garden is permitted, but as a rule, photography is prohibited inside the building. The hall overlooking the garden from the guest hall has many pillars, so be careful not to bump into them. Also, note that some of the sliding doors are not well made and are difficult to open and close.
The temple's garden, with its beautiful seasonal scenery, is one of the highlights of the temple. Konjiki-do and Kannon-do are basically accessible by stairs, but slopes have been installed so that visitors with disabilities, such as wheelchairs, can easily visit the temple. The cedar forest that covers the garden provides a good amount of shade and, coupled with the fact that the temple is located in the mountains, it's not too hot, even in the summer.
The staff members are very courteous, and when there are not many visitors, they will talk to you in a friendly manner. This is one of the temples you should definitely stop by.

大阪城公園の北、大川沿いにある小さな美術館。元は実業家の藤田伝三郎の住まいで、蔵を改装し、収蔵されていた彼と彼の息子たちのコレクションが展示されています。基本的に年末年始以外は開館していますが、いずれの展示物も極めて貴重であり、且つ傷みやすい性質をもつものが多いこともあり、3カ月ごとに展示品を入れ替えているそうです（その代わり極力休館日を設けない、とのことです）。HP等で事前に開館の有無を確認した方がいいでしょう。
収蔵・展示されている古美術は、その多くが、日本では奈良時代からなど、中国では宋の時代以降などで、中には1000年以上も経過した美術品もあります。国宝や重要文化財級のものも多数あり、個人単位の所有の小規模な美術館でありながら、その素晴らしさは筆舌しがたく、全ての美術品を、くまなく、そして食い入るように見入ることでしょう。

隣接する藤田邸跡公園も、小規模ながら自然豊かでゆったりと散策できるところです。ちょっと喧騒から離れ、ゆっくりと大阪の時間を過ごすのもいいかもしれません。

This small museum is located along the Okawa River, north of Osaka Castle Park. Formerly the residence of industrialist Denzaburo Fujita, the storehouse has been renovated to house the collections of Fujita and his sons. The museum is generally open except during the year-end and New Year holidays, but since many of the exhibits are extremely valuable and fragile, the exhibits are changed every three months (they do their best to keep the museum not closed). It is best to check the website in advance.
Many of the antiques in the museum's collection date from the Nara period in Japan and the Sung dynasty in China, and some of them are more than 1,000 years old. Many of the works are national treasures or important cultural properties, and although it is a small museum owned by a private individual, its splendor is indescribable, and you may find yourself devouring every piece of art.

The adjacent Fujita Residence Park is also small, but rich in nature, and a relaxing place to stroll. It is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some quality time in Osaka.

日本国内に4つある国立博物館の1つ。京都駅からのアクセスの場合、基本的にはバスなどの公共交通機関を使用するのが一般的であるが、京都駅から徒歩で20分程度の距離であるため、天気がいい日であれば散策気分で訪れてみるのもいいだろう。
敷地内に入るとすぐ目に飛び込んでくる建物として、明治時代に博物館が創立されてから現在に至るまで存在する、威風堂々たる赤レンガ造りの洋風建築である『明治古都館（旧本館）』と、直線的且つ幾何学的でスタイリッシュな建物である『平成知新館』の2つがある。南門から敷地内に入り東側には庭園があり、その庭園内には小さな茶室が設えられている。他にも敷地内にはいくつか建物があるが、常時公開・利用可能な建物は、展示を行っている『平成知新館』のみ。かつて展示室として使用されていた『明治古都館』は現在は立ち入ることが出来ず、不定期開催の期間限定の一般公開やロケーション撮影でしか利用することが出来ない。
京都には数多くの文化財を擁する社寺があること、また京都から1時間足らずでアクセス可能な奈良にも国立博物館があるからか、東京国立博物館を訪れたことがある人から見ると、展示の数は少ないと感じるかもしれない。それでも、展示を立ち止まらず周遊するだけでも2時間は要する。
ほとんどの展示品が、日本国内もしくは中国国内より発見・出土・購入・寄贈されたものである。陶磁器・金工・漆器・涅槃図・屏風絵・水墨画・書・仏像等、様々な文化財が展示されているが、どちらかと言えば美術的な要素が強く、考古学や文化的な繋がり・進化（あるいは深化）といった視点での展示要素は小さい。主に日本と中国における、それぞれの美術品の技術・技法・意匠を主軸とした展示が色濃い一方で、説明文を含め学術的な要素は薄い（そういった各展示の物やそれらの時代との関連性を強く出してしまうと、それで粗方事足りてしまい、京都内の社寺に足を運ばなくなってしまう恐れからの配慮だろうか？）。逆に言えば情報量を必要以上に盛り込まず純粋に展示物を鑑賞してほしい、という意図があるのかもしれない。
東京国立博物館と異なり、常設展示でも原則として全て撮影は禁止である。また、臨時休業する頻度が比較的高いため、訪れる際は事前にHP等で情報を集めた方がいい。

It's one of the four national museums in Japan. The museum is generally accessible from Kyoto Station by public transportation such as buses, but since it is only a 20-minute walk from Kyoto Station, it's a good place to visit on a nice day if you feel like taking a walk.
Two buildings immediately catch the eye upon entering the museum grounds: "Meiji Koto-Kan(former main exhibition hall)", a majestic red brick Western-style building that has existed since the museum was founded in the Meiji period, and the Heisei Chishin-Kan, a stylish, linear and geometric building. Entering the grounds from the south gate, visitors will find a garden on the east side, which houses a small teahouse. There are several other buildings on the grounds, but the Heisei Chishin-Kan is the only one that is open to the public at all times and is used for exhibitions. "Meiji Koto-Kan," is now inaccessible and can only be used for irregular, limited-time public openings and location shootings.
Perhaps because Kyoto has numerous temples and shrines with cultural assets, and Nara also has a national museum accessible in less than an hour from Kyoto, visitors who have visited the Tokyo National Museum may feel that the number of exhibits is small. Even so, it takes two hours just to walk around the exhibits without stopping.
Most of the exhibits were discovered, excavated, purchased, or donated from Japan or China. The exhibits include ceramics, metalwork, lacquerware, reclining screens, ink and wash paintings, calligraphy, Buddhist statues, etc., but they are more artistically oriented and are almost not displayed from the perspective of archaeology or cultural links or evolution (or deepening). While the exhibits are mainly focused on the techniques and designs of Japanese and Chinese works of art, there are few academic elements, including explanatory texts (this may be because if the exhibits are strongly related to each other and to the period in which they were exhibited, the visitors will be satisfied and will not visit the temples and shrines in Kyoto). Conversely, the museum's intention may be to allow visitors to appreciate the exhibits purely by not including more information than necessary.
Unlike the Tokyo National Museum, photography is basically prohibited in all permanent exhibits. In addition, since the museum is closed temporarily relatively frequently, it's advisable to gather information on its website in advance when visiting.

まるで小規模のマンションのような建物にあり、分かりやすいサインが全く存在せず、そもそもそのようなレストランがあるのか疑いたくなり、辿り着くまでに周辺を何度も往復してしまうかもしれません。ある意味、隠れ家的なレストランなのかもしれません。レストランへの昇降手段は階段だけでなくエレベーターも利用できますが、建物の入り口に段差があるため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方は利用の際注意が必要です。
カウンター席とテーブル席合わせて20席程度の小さなレストランです。ランチタイムでは、外からの日の光が入ると壁の赤色と木彫の調度品が明るく映え、華やかな雰囲気になります。ディナータイムは壁の赤色がワインレッドのように映り、シックな雰囲気になり、お酒を片手に気心の知れた人との会話が弾むでしょう。
レストランのメインディッシュはハンバーガーですが、敷居が高そうな雰囲気のレストランであるだけに、価格もファストフード店のハンバーガーの4～5倍しますが、勿論丁寧に拵えられており、最後まで美味しくいただけます。星形の皿に盛りつけられる、というのも特徴的です。一方で、デフォルトで食べるためのナイフやフォークは常備されていません。給仕されるハンバーガーはバンズ自体も油が付いているにもかかわらず、基本的に手づかみで食べます。そのため、手に油が付かないよう、油付着防止の紙がテーブルに常備されています。スタッフに問い合わせれば恐らくナイフ・フォークが提供されると思いますので、手づかみでの食事が苦手と思う方はそうしてみるといいでしょう。
ディナータイムの比較的空いている時間帯に利用したからか、スタッフの対応は総じて丁寧で好感を持てました。予約なしの飛び込みにもかかわらず快く対応してくれました。一部の料理はランチタイム等の早い時間に売り切れになる可能性があるため、事前に問い合わせ、あるいは予約をした方が、早く料理を給仕することが出来る、ということです。

The restaurant is located in a building that looks like a small apartment building. There is no obvious signage at all, and you may end up going back and forth around the area several times before you get there, wondering if there is such a restaurant in the first place. In a sense, the restaurant may be a hideout. The restaurant can be accessed by elevator as well as stairs, but because there is a step at the entrance of the building, wheelchair users and those with disabilities need to be careful when using the elevator.
It's a small restaurant with a total of about 20 seats at the counter and tables. At lunch time, the red color of the walls and the wood-carved furnishings are brightened by the sunlight from outside, creating a gorgeous atmosphere. At dinner time, the red color of the walls reflects like a burgundy, creating a chic atmosphere that will encourage conversation with well-meaning people with a drink in hand.
The main dish at the restaurant is hamburgers, which is four to five times more expensive than a hamburger at a fast-food restaurant because of the restaurant's high atmosphere, but of course, those are carefully prepared and taste great all the way through. The hamburgers are served on star-shaped plates, which is also a unique feature of the restaurant. On the other hand, by default, there are no knives or forks provided for eating. The hamburger served to you is basically eaten with your hands, even though the bun itself is also coated with oil. Therefore, grease-proof paper is always provided at the table to prevent oil from sticking to your hands. If you ask the staff, they will probably provide you with a knife and fork, so you can try that if you think eating with your hands is not good for you.

観音寺市における最も注目すべき観光スポットである。琴弾公園の松林に突如として出現したかのような『寛永通宝』の砂絵は、訪れる人全ての目を見張ることだろう。
1633年、将軍である徳川家光の巡遣使を歓迎するため、地元の有志によって一夜のうちに作られたとされる。現在は地元のボランティアによって定期的に整備されている、という。
この砂絵を見るには、間近まで近づくか、展望台から見下ろすかのどちらかになる。砂絵の周回部分にまで近づくことはできるが、砂絵の中には立ち入ることが出来ない。近くで見ると、巨大な砂の盛り上がりが眼前に広がる程度で、事前に情報を仕入れない限りそれが何かを理解するのは難しいだろう。一方で展望台から見下ろすことで、砂絵の全体像を見ることが出来る。
環境保全のため、砂絵の周囲には飲食店などは存在しない。飲食物の持ち込みは特に禁止されていないようだが、ゴミ箱等も周囲には設置されていないので、ゴミは持ち帰るか近隣のゴミ箱に捨てる必要がある。

It's the most famous tourist attraction in Kannonji City. The "Kan'ei Tsuho" sand paintings that seem to have suddenly appeared in the pine forests of Kotodama Park are a sight to behold for all visitors.
It's said to have been created overnight by local volunteers in 1633 to welcome the envoy of Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu. Today, it's regularly maintained by local volunteers.
To see the sand paintings, visitors can either get up close to them or look down from the observatory. Visitors can approach the perimeter of the sand paintings, but are not allowed to enter them. When you see it up close, you can only see a huge heap of sand spread out before your eyes, and it would be difficult to understand what it is unless you have information about it beforehand. On the other hand, looking down from the observatory, one can see the whole picture of the sand painting.
For environmental preservation, there are no restaurants or stores around the sand paintings. It seems that bringing in food and drink is not prohibited, but there are no garbage cans around the area, so you need to take your garbage home with you or throw it in a nearby garbage can.

清瀬駅から徒歩1分に満たないところにある中華料理店です。清瀬駅周辺のレストランの中で、深夜まで営業しているため、夜遅くに仕事からの帰宅時の簡単な食事目的での利用にピッタリかもしれません。
給仕される料理は主にラーメンもしくはつけ麺で、他にも肉野菜炒めの定食や炒飯といった料理が提供されます。味及び盛り付けはこの店ならではの特徴的なものは無く、いわゆる一般的な食堂で給仕される料理とほとんど同じです。その分、あれこれ思い悩まず料理を堪能できる、という側面があると思います。
スタッフの接客対応の質は可もなく不可もなく、素っ気ない印象を受けますが、そういうものだと割り切れば特に不愉快には思わないでしょう。その一方で（利用時間帯にも依るかもしれませんが）利用客の客層のガラが悪いことがあり、落ち着いて食事できない場合があります。

This Chinese-style restaurant is located less than a minute's walk from Kiyose Station. Among the restaurants in the Kiyose Station area, it's open until late at night, which may be perfect for a simple meal when coming home from work late at night.
The dishes served are mainly Ramen or Tsukemen, and other dishes such as stir-fried meat and vegetable set menus and fried rice are also offered. There is nothing unique to this restaurant in terms of taste or presentation, and most of the dishes are the same as those served in a typical restaurant. This is one of the aspects of the restaurant that allows you to enjoy the food without worrying about this or that.
The quality of the staff's customer service is neither good nor bad, giving the impression that they are not very attentive, but if you let it be that way, you will not be particularly displeased. On the other hand, the customers are sometimes a bit rough, and you may not be able to enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

ハンバーグやステーキを、熱々の鉄板の上で美味しくいただけるレストランです。店内はアンティークに囲まれたような印象を受けますが、決して堅苦しい雰囲気は無く、スタッフの接客も元気がよくハキハキとして、明朗に受け答えしてくれます（だからと言って決して馴れ馴れしい接客対応ではありません）。
給仕されたハンバーグやステーキは、自分で切り分けることも出来ますが、基本的にはスタッフが給仕直後に切り分けてくれます。熱々の鉄板に載せた状態で給仕されるため、油がよく飛びますが、手持ちのナプキンで油が飛び散るのを防いだり、またその方法を教えてくれます。
ハンバーグには、恐らくつなぎは全く、もしくはほとんど使われていません。ハンバーグの柔らかさは絶妙で、口に入れた際も程よく肉がほどけていきます。（使われた材料にも依りますが）つなぎならではの粘り気は全くと言っていいほど無く、またソースもよく絡み、最後まで美味しくいただくことが出来ます。
いずれも非常に質の高い料理が楽しめるレストランではあるのですが、残念なことに地下にあり、且つ昇降は階段のみとなります。常駐するスタッフの数も多くはありませんので、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方にはあまりお勧めできないかもしれません。
