Mountain park with well-maintained forest paths where you can enjoy seasonal flowers

二宮駅を降りると北側にすぐに見つけることが出来る、吾妻山に整備された公園です。
山そのものが公園として整備されているものの、その多くが林で覆われており、且つ展望台として整備されている山頂の広場ですら平らなところはほぼ皆無であるため、ボール遊びなどは一切適しません。公園を利用する際は、少なくとも靴はトレッキングシューズ等林道でも歩きやすい靴を選んだ方がよさそうです。また公園内の散策路も所謂林道として整備されており、舗装されている箇所は多くありません。そのため、雨の日及び雨上がりなどは非常にぬかるむことにも注意が必要です。
山頂までのルートはいくつかありますが、最もポピュラーでアクセスしやすく、そのため人の往来が多いのが二宮駅から行くことが出来る『役場口』のルートです。しかしこのルートは300段近い急な階段であることに注意が必要です。階段の途中で休憩用の椅子が設けられているので、必要に応じて利用しましょう。
山頂近くに子供向けの遊具があり、特にローラー式の滑り台は子供たちに大人気です。遊具があるスペースにお手洗いがあります。
山頂は、1月～2月には菜の花が、4月には桜が咲き、晴れた日には遠くに富士山や丹沢が見え、その絶景を見たり写真に収めたりと多くの人が訪れます。同じく相模湾や小田原の遠望の素晴らしさは、ずっとそこから見ていたい程でしょう。菜の花や桜だけでなく、公園内ではツツジやシャクナゲ等の花も咲く等、1年を通して色とりどりの花々を楽しむことが出来ます。
林道の林は絶妙な間隔で植えられているため、夏は木漏れ日を感じつつも決して暑すぎることはありません。自然の中をゆったりとあるきながら避暑地として過ごすのもいいかもしれません。

Although the mountain itself is maintained as a park, most of it is covered with woods, and even the open space at the top of the mountain, which is used as a viewing platform, is almost not completely flat, making it unsuitable for playing with a ball or anything else. It's recommended that visitors to the park wear shoes that are comfortable for walking in the forest, such as trekking shoes. The walking paths in the park are also maintained as so-called forest paths, and not many of them are paved. Therefore, it is necessary to be careful that the paths become very muddy on rainy days and after rain.
There are several routes to the summit, but the most popular and accessible, and therefore the most frequented, is the "Yakuba-guchi" route, which can be accessed from Ninomiya Station. However, please note that this route has nearly 300 steep steps. Rest chairs are provided along the stairs, so use them as needed.
There is a playground space for children near the top of the mountain, and the roller slide is especially popular with children. There is a restroom in the area where the playground space is located.
On clear days, Mt. Fuji and Tanzawa can be seen in the distance, and many people visit the summit to see and photograph the spectacular view. The view of Sagami Bay and Odawara in the distance is so spectacular that you will want to stay and watch the scenery from there. In addition to rape blossoms and cherry blossoms, azaleas, rhododendrons, and other flowers bloom in the park, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of colorful flowers throughout the year.
The forest paths are planted at perfect intervals, so it is never too hot in summer, even though you can feel the sun shining through the trees. It may be a good idea to spend time at a summer resort while walking leisurely through nature.
