国立科学博物館の地球館の2階にあるレストランです。利用するには少なくとも国立科学博物館の常設展用のチケットを購入する必要があります。
広々とした空間で、ほとんどの客席が4人向けで構成されており、最大で200人近く利用できますが、それでも特別展が開催されている休日は混雑必至で、特に子供連れの家族の利用が多いため、静かにゆっくり食事を楽しむなら休日を避けるか昼食時間帯を過ぎから閉館前の時間帯に利用する方がいいでしょう。
各テーブルにタッチパネル式の注文用デバイスが設置されており、それを使用して注文します。このレストランの特徴として、窓側の席から地球館の常設展を見ることが出来ることと、特別展が開催されている場合、その特別展にちなんだメニュー（特にスイーツ）が期間限定で提供されることです。両特徴とも特に子供は大いに喜ばれますが、特に窓側の客席は平日・休日のいずれの時間帯を問わず席が利用されていることが多く、確保できれば非常にラッキー、と思った方がいいでしょう。
料理やスイーツは、味付けこそ特段奇を衒ってはいませんが、やはり子供に大いに喜んで貰うために、盛り付けや色遣いは非常に凝っているように思います。国立科学博物館で様々な展示を拝観した後の休憩や思い出作りに利用するといいでしょう。
混雑する状況等を充分に把握した上で、出来る限り効率化した運営を心掛けているからか、スタッフも一様にテキパキと動き、客との距離も保ちつつ余裕をもった接客を心掛けているように感じました。

This restaurant is located on the second floor of the Earth Gallery at the National Museum of Nature and Science. To use it, you must purchase at least a ticket for the museum's permanent exhibitions.
The dining area is spacious, with most tables designed for groups of four, and it can accommodate up to nearly 200 guests. Even so, on weekends when special exhibitions are being held, it becomes very crowded - especially with families traveling with children. If you prefer a quieter, more relaxed meal, it's advisable to avoid weekends, or visit after the lunch rush or closer to closing time.
Each table is equipped with a touch-panel ordering device. Two notable features of this restaurant are, first, that seats by the windows offer views of the permanent exhibitions in the Earth Gallery, and second, that limited-time menu items - particularly desserts inspired by ongoing special exhibitions - are offered when such exhibitions are running. Both features are especially popular with children. Window-side seats, in particular, are almost always occupied regardless of the day or time, so securing one should be considered a matter of luck.
The dishes and desserts are not especially adventurous in terms of seasoning, but the presentation and use of color are clearly designed to delight children. This makes the restaurant a good place to take a break and create pleasant memories after exploring the museum's many exhibits.
Because the staff appear to be well aware of how busy the restaurant can become, operations are handled as efficiently as possible. All staff members work briskly while maintaining an appropriate distance from guests, providing calm, professional, and well-organized service.

名古屋市の中心街からやや離れたところにある回遊式の日本庭園である。最寄り駅である大曽根駅からもやや離れた住宅地の中にあり、桜や紅葉の季節は混雑するものの、それ以外の季節であれば休日でも比較的空いており、ゆったりと園内を周遊することが出来る。
17世紀末に造営された尾張徳川家の庭園であったが、太平洋戦争時の名古屋大空襲によって破壊された。現在の庭園は2000年以降に再度造営されたものである。戦災を免れたのは明治22年に建立された黒門のみとなる。
明確な区分があるわけではないが、起伏がほとんど無いが広々としている『龍仙湖』（庭園内の池）の周遊部分と、起伏はあるがバリエーションに富む景色を楽しむことが出来る小高い丘の部分に分けることが出来る。小路はややデコボコしており、ところどころ狭いものの、車椅子などの障碍を持つ人でも充分に楽しむことが出来る。一方で、それほど大きくない規模の庭園であるからか、休憩できるベンチの数はあまり多くないように思う。
前述の通り周囲は住宅地であるため、特に龍仙湖を周遊すると周辺のマンションが必ず目に入ってしまう。借景を含めた上で景観を楽しむことは、あまり大きな期待を持たない方がいいだろう。

This is a strolling-style Japanese garden located slightly away from central Nagoya. It sits within a quiet residential neighborhood and is also some distance from the nearest station, Ozone Station. While the garden can become crowded during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons, it's relatively uncrowded even on weekends at other times of the year, allowing visitors to walk around at a relaxed pace.
The garden originally belonged to the Owari Tokugawa clan and was created in the end of 17th century. However, it was destroyed during the Nagoya air raids in World War II. The current garden was reconstructed after 2000, and the only structure that survived the war is the Black Gate (Kuro-mon), built in 1889.
Although there are no clearly defined sections, the garden can roughly be divided into two areas: the flat and spacious walking path surrounding Ryusen Lake (the central pond), and a gently elevated area with small hills that offers more varied scenery. The paths are somewhat uneven and narrow in places, but the garden is still accessible and enjoyable for visitors using wheelchairs or with mobility challenges. That said, the garden is not very large, and there are relatively few benches available for resting.
As the garden is surrounded by residential buildings, especially when walking around Ryusen Lake, nearby apartment complexes are inevitably visible. Visitors should not expect expansive scenic views or strong use of borrowed scenery (shakkei) as part of the landscape design.

榛原駅から徒歩5〜6分程度のところにある、古民家を活用したカフェです。駅に近いものの住宅街となっているため、カフェ内は勿論周辺も静かで、ゆったりと寛ぐことが出来るカフェになっていると思います。
店名にもあるように、店外は勿論店内にも至る処に『盆栽』が置かれています。但しあくまでカフェとしての雰囲気づくりとして設えているものであって、いずれの盆栽も本格的且つ仰々しく感じるような作りではないように思います。一方でそれらは店の雰囲気に非常にマッチしており、ゆったりと眺めながら注文した料理を待つのに最適だと思います。
恐らく近隣にお住いの住民と思われる方数名で遣り繰りしているため、料理の注文から給仕に至るまで、例え空いている時間帯でも時間を要します。そのため、（必須ではありませんが）予約を取ることをお勧めします（複数人グループで利用する場合は特に）。
提供される軽食やデザートの多くは、典型的な盛り付けであるものの、いずれも丁寧に拵えられた味付けであるように感じました。そのうちのいくつかの料理は、奈良県内や宇陀市の食材が活用されていたり、コーヒーなどのドリンクや料理・デザートの器には日本の趣を感じさせる陶器（恐らく奈良県内で作られたもの）が活用されたりなど、強いこだわりを見せているようにも思います。
宇陀市、もしくは榛原駅周辺で食事処を探す際は、是非訪れたいカフェの一つだと思います。

This cafe is located about a 5-6 minute walk from Haibara Station and is housed in a renovated traditional Japanese home. Despite its proximity to the station, it sits within a quiet residential area, making both the surroundings and the café itself calm and relaxing - an ideal place to unwind at a leisurely pace.
As the name suggests, bonsai are placed throughout the property, both outside and inside the cafe. These are arranged primarily as part of the overall ambiance rather than as formal or imposing displays. They blend naturally with the space and create a soothing atmosphere, making the wait for your order feel pleasant and unhurried.
The cafe appears to be run by a small number of local residents, so even during quieter hours it can take some time from ordering to being served. For this reason, while not strictly required, making a reservation is recommended - especially if you plan to visit as part of a group.
Most of the light meals and desserts are presented in a fairly classic style, but they are carefully prepared and thoughtfully seasoned. Some dishes incorporate ingredients sourced from Nara Prefecture or Uda City, and the coffee, food, and desserts are served in ceramics that reflect traditional Japanese aesthetics, likely made locally in Nara. These details suggest a strong attention to craftsmanship and locality.
If you are looking for a place to eat in Uda City or around Haibara Station, this cafe is well worth including among your options.

平日・休日、時間帯問わず長蛇の列が出来、並び始めてから店内のテーブルに案内されるまで短くて30分程度要することを考慮すべき、人気の高い串カツ店です。
とは言え、混雑している状況は他の『串かつだるま』でも変わりはなく、そのような状況を熟知した上での料理が提供されているように思います。串かつの種類も豊富ですが同時にお酒の種類も豊富であるため、居酒屋としての側面も持ち、連日大いに賑わいます。大衆居酒屋ならではの喧騒に満ちているからか、少なくとも落ち着いて食事を楽しむところではありません。1〜2人で利用する客も多くいますが、そのような状況からか少人数利用の場合客の回転はそれ程悪くないように思います（平日だからかもしれませんが）。
各テーブルにタッチパネル式の注文用デバイスが設置されており、それを使用して注文を行います（英語・韓国語・中国語に対応しているため、海外からの観光客も気軽に利用できると思います）。一方でスタッフの接客対応はややばらつきがあるように思い、一部のスタッフは、特に入店後の店の案内がもたついて、最初のお酒の注文を何度も言わざるを得ない状況となりました（もしかしたら慣れないスタッフだったのかもしれませんが）。多くの客がひっきりなしに入れ替わるお店だけに、スタッフも混乱してしまうのもやぶさかではありませんので、大きな心持ちで接するといいかもしれません。

This is a very popular kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) restaurant where long lines form regardless of weekday or weekend, or time of day. From the moment you join the line, you should expect to wait at least around 30 minutes before being shown to a table.
That said, this level of crowding is typical of other branches of Kushikatsu Daruma, and the operation appears to be structured with such constant congestion in mind. The variety of kushikatsu is extensive, and the drink menu is also wide-ranging, giving the restaurant a strong izakaya (casual pub) character. As a result, the atmosphere is lively and noisy every day. This is not a place to enjoy a calm or quiet meal. While many customers dine alone or in pairs, table turnover for small groups seems relatively efficient, possibly because of the steady flow of customers (this impression may reflect weekday conditions).
Each table is equipped with a touchscreen ordering system, which supports English, Korean, and Chinese. For this reason, international visitors should find ordering relatively easy. On the other hand, the quality of staff service can be inconsistent. In my case, guidance upon entering the restaurant was somewhat disorganized, and I had to repeat my initial drink order several times. This may have been due to inexperienced staff, but given the constant influx of customers, some level of confusion among staff is understandable. Visiting with patience and a relaxed mindset is advisable.

国道58号線沿いにある、国頭村唯一の道の駅で、且つ沖縄本島最北端の道の駅でもあります。主に土産物店や物産販売所で構成される建物と、フードコートや観光案内所がある建物で構成されており（他にも食堂など小規模な建物がいくつかあります）、国頭村、やんばる国立公園のドライブや探索をする際に、情報を仕入れたり休憩したり様々な特産品を購入したりするのに利用されます。
特に土産物店や物産販売所がある建物は、開放的で広々としており、明るい雰囲気に包まれているように感じました。どちらかと言えば沖縄ならではの『海洋』というイメージより、木漏れ日がふんだんに感じられるガジュマルの森、といった印象です。『道の駅』という施設や機能としては全国各地にある道の駅とほとんど変わりませんが、施設内に『よっしゃあ！国頭体験室』という主に子供向けのコーナーがあり、国頭村の文化について触れることが出来ます（但し基本的には平日のみ利用可能）。
駐車場のスペースも充分に広く、子供が遊べる遊具もあるため、家族で国頭村や沖縄本島北部を旅する最中の休憩等で利用する場所として最適な場所だと思います。

Located along National Route 58, this is the only Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) in Kunigami Village and also the northernmost one on Okinawa's main island. The facility is mainly composed of two larger buildings: one housing souvenir shops and local product stores, and another containing a food court and a tourist information center. There are also several smaller buildings, such as casual eateries. It's commonly used as a stop to gather information, take a break, and purchase local specialties when driving through or exploring Kunigami Village and Yambaru National Park.
The building that houses the souvenir shops and local product stores is particularly open and spacious, giving a bright and airy impression. Rather than evoking Okinawa’s typical "ocean" image, it feels more like a banyan tree forest filled with dappled sunlight. While its basic functions are similar to roadside stations found throughout Japan, the facility also includes the "Yosshaa! Kunigami Experience Room", a space primarily designed for children where visitors can learn about the culture of Kunigami Village (generally open on weekdays only).
The parking area is large, and there is playground equipment for children, making this an ideal rest stop for families traveling through Kunigami Village or the northern part of Okinawa’s main island.

宿泊する方によって利用しやすさの判断がくっきり分かれるホテルだと思います。
鉄道の最寄り駅は『中之島駅』ですが、大阪駅や新大阪駅といった主要駅へ直通する鉄道路線ではありません（主要駅に行くには、1回以上の乗り換えが必要となり、場合により遠回りになる可能性があります）。ホテルの目の前にバス停があり、運行されるバスは大阪駅へ行くものの、1時間に2本程度と本数はそれ程多くありません。交通の便があまり良くないのに加え、周辺には飲食店も少なく、ホテルがある建物の1階にコンビニエンスストアがあるものの24時間営業ではありません。
一方、そのような環境からかホテル内も外側も大阪市街地の喧騒から遠く、夜間は静かに過ごすことが出来ます。また（予約のタイミングに依るのかもしれませんが）リーズナブルな宿泊費用となっています。多少の不便さに目をつぶってでも静かな環境で過ごしたい、という方には最適なホテルだと思いますが、アクセス・食事場所・食料や日用品の調達の面からすると不便さが感じられるホテルだと思います。
とは言え、ホテル自体は特に申し分なく、清潔に保たれているのは言わずもがなです。部屋はやや狭いですが、大きなスーツケース1つを広げる程度の床面積はあると思います。バスルームも同様にやや狭く、窮屈な印象は否めません。スタッフの接客対応は程よい距離感でそつなく丁寧な接客だったと思います。

This is a hotel whose convenience will be judged very differently depending on the type of traveler.
The nearest train station is Nakanoshima Station; however, it's not on a direct line to major hubs such as Osaka Station or Shin-Osaka Station. Reaching those major stations requires at least one transfer and, depending on the route, may involve a detour. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, and buses do go to Osaka Station, but service is limited to about two buses per hour. In addition to the relatively poor transport access, there are few restaurants in the surrounding area. Although there is a convenience store on the first floor of the same building as the hotel, it's not open 24 hours.
On the other hand, perhaps because of this location, both the hotel interior and the surrounding area are far removed from the noise and bustle of central Osaka, allowing guests to enjoy a quiet stay, especially at night. Accommodation rates are also reasonable, possibly depending on the timing of the reservation. For travelers who prioritize a calm and peaceful environment and are willing to accept some inconvenience, this hotel can be an excellent choice. However, those who value easy access, dining options, or convenient access to food and daily necessities may find the location inconvenient.
That said, the hotel itself is perfectly satisfactory. It's clean and well maintained. Guest rooms are somewhat small, but there is enough floor space to open and use one large suitcase. The bathroom is also compact and may feel a bit cramped. The staff's service was polite, professional, and attentive, with a comfortable sense of distance that did not feel intrusive.

中津駅の北側の閑静な住宅街、その中でもとりわけ寺社が多く建ち並ぶ通りにある寺の一つですが、寺の外側・内側の壁が真っ赤に染められているため、嫌でも目に付きます。
かつての中津の領主だった宇都宮鎮房を、黒田孝高が謀略を用いて中津場内で暗殺、宇都宮鎮房の従臣等がこの寺を拠点として奮闘するも最期を遂げ、以来寺の壁は何度塗り替えても血の痕が絶えることがなくなり、結果として赤く染めるに至った、という曰くがあります。
とは言え、寺そのものとしての規模はそれ程大きくはなく、周遊するだけであれば30分と要しません。周辺が住宅街であるため、祭事でも無い限り平日・休日共に参拝に訪れる人も少なく、静かに佇んでいる寺院、といった印象です。上記の謂れは中津城でも案内されるため、その延長で参拝する観光客の姿も見られますが、皆静かに参拝しているように見受けられます。

Located on a quiet residential street north of Nakatsu Station - an area particularly dense with temples and shrines - this is one of the local temples that is impossible to miss, as both its exterior and interior walls are painted a vivid red.
According to local legend, Utsunomiya Shizufusa, the former lord of Nakatsu, was assassinated inside Nakatsu Castle through a plot orchestrated by Kuroda Kanbei (Kuroda Yoshitaka). Utsunomiya's retainers continued to fight from this temple as their base but were ultimately killed. It's said that ever since, no matter how many times the temple walls were repainted, stains resembling blood continued to appear, which eventually led to the walls being deliberately painted red.
That said, the temple itself is not particularly large, and a simple walk around the grounds takes less than 30 minutes. As it's surrounded by residential neighborhoods, there are relatively few visitors on both weekdays and weekends unless a festival or special event is being held. Overall, it gives the impression of a quiet, contemplative temple.
The above legend is also introduced at Nakatsu Castle, and some visitors come here as an extension of their castle visit. Even so, most people appear to pay their respects quietly and respectfully.

日本近代の教育の礎を築いた教育者・福沢諭吉氏の旧居と、氏の遺品や氏にまつわる史料が展示されている記念館で構成される施設です。
記念館内の展示フロアーは2階構成となっており、エレベーターが設置されているため車椅子等の障碍を持つ方でも気軽に利用できる構造となっています。氏が残した書物や書簡が数多く展示され、往年の氏の軌跡だけでなく、晩年に至っても尚教育者として身をやつしていたことが分かり、それは遺された写真からでも分かります。一部ミニクイズが設置されているコーナーもあるため、子供でも楽しめる施設になっていると思います（とは言え大半が書簡や書籍を始めとする史料であるため、小さい子供は退屈するかもしれません）。大半の展示の説明が日本語表記のため、海外からの観光客にはあまり向かないと感じました。
旧居は靴を脱がない土間であれば立ち入ることが出来ますが、座敷に上がることは出来ないようになっています（イベント等が開催されると異なるかもしれません）。旧居は、大阪で生を受けたものの父親の急逝を機に中津に戻った際の家ではなく、その後移り住んだ家がそのまま移築されたものだそうです。それでも、当時の茅葺屋根の家屋の面影を垣間見ることが出来ます。

This facility consists of the former residence of Yukichi Fukuzawa, an educator who laid the foundations of modern education in Japan, along with a memorial museum that displays his personal belongings and historical materials related to his life and work.
The museum's exhibition area is arranged over two floors, and an elevator is installed, making the facility easily accessible for wheelchair users and visitors with mobility impairments. A large number of Fukuzawa's books and personal letters are on display, allowing visitors to trace not only his achievements in earlier years but also to see that he remained deeply committed to education even in his later life. This dedication is also evident in the photographs exhibited. There is a small corner with mini quizzes, which may make the museum enjoyable for children as well. However, since most of the exhibits consist of documents such as letters and books, younger children may find the experience somewhat monotonous.
Most of the explanatory text for the exhibits is written only in Japanese, so the museum may be less suitable for international visitors who do not read Japanese.
As for the former residence, visitors are allowed to enter the earthen-floor area without removing their shoes, but access to the tatami rooms is not permitted (this may differ during special events). The house is not the one Fukuzawa lived in when he returned to Nakatsu after his father's sudden death, but rather a later residence that was relocated and preserved here. Even so, it offers a valuable glimpse of a traditional thatched-roof house from that period.

山口発祥のグルメ『長崎ちゃんめん』が堪能できるチェーンレストランです。キャベツやニンジンをはじめとする野菜がたっぷり盛り付けられ、スープがしっかりと絡みつつもコシのある麺が特徴の『ちゃんめん』を堪能することが出来ます。ちゃんめんだけでなく、餃子やチャーハンといった料理、他にも一品料理が豊富に揃えられており、『餃子の王将』に似た街中の気軽に利用しやすい中華チェーン店のような雰囲気です。
新山口駅から徒歩で7～8分程度のところにあること、新山口駅北口の方が繁華街となっておりレストランや居酒屋の種類も豊富であることから、山口への旅行者が訪れる機会は多くないように感じ、どちらかと言えば近隣在住の住民が利用しているように思います。その住民も車で利用する機会が多いようで、駐車場のスペースも充分にあるように思います。
スタッフの接客対応も終始丁寧ではあったものの、注文システムに難があるように感じました。入店直後に会計カウンターで注文をするのですが、紙媒体のメニューから注文料理を選び、会計を済ませた後席を案内されます。料理の種類が豊富にあることやメニューにところ狭しと書かれているため、注文にもたもたしてしまうことも少なくありません。そのため、昼食時間帯など混雑している時間帯に初めて利用するのはあまりお勧めしません。ゆっくり注文する料理を探すのであれば、空いている時間帯に利用するといいでしょう。

This is a chain restaurant where you can enjoy Nagasaki Chan-men, a regional specialty that originated in Yamaguchi. The signature Chan-men features generous portions of vegetables such as cabbage and carrots, paired with springy noodles that hold their texture well while absorbing the flavorful soup. In addition to Chan-men, the menu includes gyoza, fried rice, and a wide variety of à la carte dishes, giving the restaurant a casual, neighborhood Chinese-chain atmosphere similar to Gyoza no Ohsho.
The restaurant is about a 7-8 minute walk from Shin-Yamaguchi Station. However, because the livelier dining and nightlife areas are concentrated around the station’s north exit, travelers to Yamaguchi may not visit this location very often. Instead, it seems to be used mainly by local residents, many of whom arrive by car. Parking space appears to be ample.
While the staff were consistently polite, the ordering system may feel inconvenient, especially for first-time visitors. Orders must be placed and paid for at the counter immediately after entering, using a paper menu. Given the large number of items and the densely packed menu layout, it's easy to take time deciding what to order. For this reason, visiting for the first time during busy lunch hours is not recommended. If you would like to take your time choosing, it's better to visit during off-peak hours when the restaurant is less crowded.

中津駅から徒歩で5分程度のところにあるレストランで、店名に『麺』とある通り、うどんやそばを提供するレストランです。
外装・内装共に、典型的な『和風』のテイストを前面に出したファミリーレストラン、といった印象で、ほとんどの客席が4人を始めとする複数人数で構成されており、席数も多く（時間帯に依るかもしれませんが）大人数での利用でも食事を楽しめるレストランだと思います。
うどん・そば共にトッピングが豊富で、大分定番の郷土料理『とり天（鶏肉の天ぷら）』を始め多数取り揃えており、それだけでなく一品料理も豊富です。同時にお酒の種類も豊富に揃えられているため、居酒屋としての側面も併せ持っているレストランです。このレストランならではの特徴的な盛り付けや味付けは見られないものの、いずれも丁寧に拵えられているため、最後まで美味しくいただけると思います。（居酒屋を除けば）ほとんどのレストランが閉まる中、22時まで開店しているため、夜遅くに中津駅に到着した際の、小腹を満たすレストランの一つとしておさえておくのもいいかもしれません。
一方で、スタッフの接客対応に一部不愉快な点がありました。丁度客の入りもそこまで多くなく、スタッフも手持無沙汰の状態だったのかもしれませんが、1名の中年男性が忙しなく接客しているにも関わらず、厨房から若い女性が談笑する声が漏れ聞こえました。このようなあからさまなスタッフの動きの差を見てしまうと、料理の美味しさも少し減退してしまっているように感じました。

This restaurant is located about a five-minute walk from Nakatsu Station and, as the word "noodles" in its name suggests, specializes in udon and soba dishes.
Both the exterior and interior have a distinctly traditional Japanese aesthetic, giving the impression of a Japanese-style family restaurant. Most seating is arranged for groups of four or more, and the total number of seats is relatively large. Depending on the time of day, it appears to be well suited even for larger groups.
Both udon and soba come with a wide variety of toppings, including Oita's well-known local specialty, toriten (chicken tempura). In addition to noodle dishes, the restaurant also offers a broad selection of side dishes, as well as a good range of alcoholic beverages, giving it some characteristics of an izakaya. While there are no particularly distinctive or unique presentations or flavor profiles specific to this restaurant, the dishes are carefully prepared and consistently enjoyable until the last bite. Notably, it remains open until 10:00 p.m., which is relatively late for the area where most non-izakaya restaurants close earlier, making it a convenient option for a light meal if you arrive at Nakatsu Station late in the evening.
On the downside, there was an unpleasant aspect to the staff’s service. At the time of my visit, the restaurant was not particularly busy, and while one middle-aged male staff member was actively attending to customers, voices of younger female staff chatting could be heard from the kitchen. Observing such a clear imbalance in staff attentiveness somewhat detracted from the overall dining experience, even though the food itself was good.

平塚駅北口から徒歩10分程度のところにある神社である。いわゆる町の中心的でありながら静かに町を見守っているかのような存在で、単に参拝するためだけでなく、市民の憩いの場や散策ルートの一つにもなっている。
神社の敷地の南側には、『東海道』の名を持つ国道一号線の道路があり、平日・休日、昼夜問わず車が走行している。加えて周辺には公共機関が多くあることから、特に昼間、神社の周囲は喧騒が絶えない。とは言え、不愉快に感じる程の騒がしさではなく、典型的な大きな町の神社と言えよう。
神社の境内には公園が隣接されている。敷地を周遊するだけであれば1時間程度で済むほどの広さである。
この神社ならではの特徴的、あるいは目を見張るような建築物や装飾は見られないが、境内の敷地面積と比較すると、豊富に水を湛えている神社であるように感じるかもしれない。一の鳥居をくぐればすぐに東御池と西御池があり、浄銭池の龍の像から勢いよく水が噴き出ている。それ以外にも境内にはそこはかとなく水の気配を感じるだろう。幾度と災害や戦火に見舞われ、その都度立て直してきた神社であるだけに、水に対する感謝の念があるのかもしれない。

This Shinto shrine is located about a 10-minute walk from the north exit of Hiratsuka Station. While situated near the town center, it feels as though it quietly watches over the city, serving not only as a place of worship but also as a relaxing space and part of a local walking route for residents.
On the southern edge of the shrine grounds runs National Route 1, also known as the Tokaido Road, which carries steady traffic day and night on both weekdays and weekends. In addition, many public institutions are located nearby, so the area around the shrine is rarely completely quiet during the daytime. That said, the level of noise is not unpleasant, and the atmosphere is typical of a shrine located in a larger city.
A public park is adjacent to the shrine grounds, and the entire area can be comfortably explored in about an hour. While there are no particularly striking or unique buildings or decorations that stand out visually, visitors may notice that the shrine feels unusually rich in water features relative to its size. Immediately after passing through the first torii gate, you will find the Higashi-Mioike and Nishi-Mioike ponds, as well as a dragon statue at the purification pond from which water flows vigorously. Elsewhere on the grounds, the presence of water can be subtly felt throughout.
Having been repeatedly damaged by natural disasters and warfare over the centuries and rebuilt each time, the shrine may reflect a deep sense of gratitude and reverence toward water as a sustaining and protective force.

北新地駅の西側にある雑居ビルの3階にあるカレー専門のレストランで、毎日のように行列が出来る程の人気店です。店内はあまり広くなく、席数も20席程度です。少ないスタッフの数で切り盛りしているため、大人数での利用は控えた方がいいでしょう。
鯛と鶏の出汁とスリランカ産のスパイスを活用したカレーで、比較的クセが強い香りが印象的です。それは味も勿論で、一口・二口分を口に含んだだけであれば賛否が分かれそうですが、食べれば食べる程、味わい・香り共に「クセになる」感覚で満たされていくのを感じました。シャバシャバしてとろみが全くと言っていい程ないルウと、水分をしっかり抜けさせ、食感もしっかりあるドライカレーの2種類があり、いずれもトッピングにしっかりマッチしています。標準ではパクチーがトッピングされていますが、苦手な人はパクチー抜きで注文することも出来ます。
前述の通り少ないスタッフの数で切り盛りしているものの、それをわきまえているからか、どのスタッフも必要以上にあたふたすることなく、確実で丁寧な接客対応で非常に好印象でした。

This is a curry-focused restaurant located on the third floor of a small multi-tenant building on the west side of Kitashinchi Station. It's extremely popular, with long lines forming almost every day. The interior is compact, with seating for around 20 guests, and it's operated by a small team, so visiting in large groups is best avoided.
The curries are made using sea bream and chicken stock combined with Sri Lankan spices, resulting in a distinctive and fairly strong aroma. The flavor is equally bold: after just one or two bites, opinions may be divided, but the more you eat, the more the taste and aroma become deeply addictive. There are two main styles available—one is a very thin, almost soup-like curry with virtually no thickness, and the other is a well-dried curry with a firm, textured bite. Both pair exceptionally well with the available toppings. Cilantro is included by default, but it can be omitted upon request for those who dislike it.
Despite being run by a small staff, the team appears well aware of their capacity and works calmly and efficiently. Their service is consistently polite and reliable, leaving a very positive impression overall.

宇治駅周辺にあるビジネスホテルの1つです。但し、宇治駅周辺にはホテルは少なく、そのため宿泊場所も自然と限られてしまいます。
しかしこのホテルは、周辺に飲食店が非常に少ないことを除けば、申し分ないホテルだと思います。駅に近いものの周辺は住宅街であるため、夜間はとても静かです。エレベーター等のホテルの設備のモーター等の騒音も極めて少なく（各客室内のバスルーム内の換気扇の電源は自由にコントロール出来ます）、そのため夜は静かにひと時を過ごせると思います。各客室間の壁も薄くはないように感じられ、きちんとプライベート空間を維持できていると思います。
客室が清潔に保たれているのは言うまでもありません。バスルームはやや狭いですが、客室の広さは充分で、大きめのスーツケースを広げられるだけの充分な広さはあると思います。内装も華美な装飾は一切なく落ち着いた色合いとなっています。ホテルの機能面として「ホテルそのものを楽しむ」というには物足りないものの、京都や宇治の観光やビジネスの拠点の一つとして活用するには充分なホテルだと思います。
スタッフの接客対応もとても丁寧で申し分ありませんでした。再度利用したくなるホテルの一つだと感じました。

This is one of the business hotels located near Uji Station. However, there are very few hotels in the Uji Station area, so accommodation options are naturally limited.
That said, aside from the very limited number of nearby restaurants, this hotel is excellent. Although it's close to the station, it's surrounded by a residential neighborhood, making the area very quiet at night. Mechanical noise from hotel facilities such as elevators is minimal, and the bathroom ventilation fan in each room can be freely controlled, allowing for a peaceful stay in the evening. The walls between rooms also do not feel thin, and privacy appears to be well maintained.
The guest rooms are, of course, kept very clean. While the bathroom is somewhat compact, the room itself is spacious enough to comfortably open a large suitcase. The interior design is simple and calm, with no excessive or flashy decoration. While the hotel may feel modest if you are looking to "Enjoy the hotel itself", it's more than sufficient as a base for sightseeing in Kyoto and Uji or for business travel.
The staff's service was consistently polite and professional, leaving a very positive impression. This is a hotel I would be happy to stay at again.

中津市のシンボルであり、中津川の河口の水を堀に引き入れた水城として有名な城の一つである。天守の存在は史料からは確認されず、1964年に模擬天守として再建されたものの、黒塗りの城壁の堂々とした構えは、開けた土地にあるからか遠くからでもよく見え、特に青空の元であれば非常によく映える。
1588年に黒田孝高によって築城が開始されたが、完成したのは大坂の陣直後の1621年で、その時の城主は細川氏であった。1717年に奥平昌成が入封した後、廃城令に伴い破却されるまで、奥平氏が当主を務めた。そのため天守内も多くが奥平氏縁の品が展示されており、天守は『奥平家歴史資料館』とも呼ばれる。
模擬天守とは言え前述の通り中津市のシンボル的存在であるため、天守内は隅々まで綺麗で、清掃もくまなく行き届いている（その代わり、冬は床下が非常に冷たいと感じるかもしれない）。一方で天守を始め城郭の維持目的、民間企業所有の史跡であることの理由からか、大人で入館料1,000円というのは、展示の規模からすると高いように感じる。最上階から中津川の河口や市街地を眺めることが出来るが、大阪城や名古屋城等と比較すると高さがやや低く、特段他にランドマーク等もないことから、やや殺風景に感じるかもしれない。
中津城周辺には様々な史跡が残されているため、中津川河口の散策の過程で訪れてみるといいだろう。

Nakatsu Castle is one of the best-known symbols of Nakatsu City and is famous as a "Water Castle", with its moats fed by water drawn from the mouth of the Nakatsu River. Historical records do not confirm the existence of an original main keep, and the current tenshu was reconstructed in 1964 as a replica. Even so, the castle’s imposing appearance, with its black-lacquered walls, stands out clearly from a distance due to its location on open land, and it looks particularly striking against a clear blue sky.
Construction of the castle began in 1588 under Kuroda Kanbei (Yoshitaka), but it was not completed until 1621, shortly after the Siege of Osaka, when the Hosokawa clan was in control. In 1717, Okudaira Masanari became the lord of the castle, and the Okudaira clan remained in charge until the castle was dismantled following the Meiji-era abolition of castles. As a result, many of the items exhibited inside the keep are closely associated with the Okudaira family, and the tenshu is also known as the "Okudaira Clan Historical Museum".
Although it's a replica keep, Nakatsu Castle remains a symbolic landmark of the city. The interior is well maintained, clean, and carefully preserved throughout (although visitors may find the floors quite cold in winter). On the other hand, possibly due to the costs of maintaining the castle grounds and the fact that it's a privately owned historic site, the adult admission fee of 1,000 yen may feel relatively expensive considering the modest scale of the exhibitions. From the top floor, visitors can enjoy views of the Nakatsu River estuary and the city, but compared with castles such as Osaka Castle or Nagoya Castle, the height is lower, and the scenery may feel somewhat plain due to the lack of prominent landmarks.
As there are various historical sites scattered around the area, Nakatsu Castle is well worth visiting as part of a leisurely walk around the Nakatsu River estuary.

蒲田駅西口の商店街沿いにある小さなうどんの食堂です。客席はあるもののどちらかと言えば立ち食いうどん食堂に近く、店内はかなり狭く、通路も人がすれ違うのもやっとの幅しかありません。建物の1階にありますが、車椅子等の障碍を持った方やスーツケースなどの大きな荷物を持った方の利用はお勧めできません。
ところどころに段ボール箱が雑多に積まれているのに加え、店内もあまり清潔ではありません。それに加えてスタッフの接客対応はよくありません。入店・退店時は勿論、券売機で注文した料理を受け取る際もほぼ無言でやり取りをし、しかも終始仏頂面であるため、あまりいい気分で食事することは出来ませんでした。
一方で、提供されるうどんの食感、汁の味付けは素晴らしいです（盛り付けは雑ですが）。うどんはコシがあり弾力も程よく噛み応えがあります。汁も決して刺激が強すぎず、すっきりとしながらも豊かに口の中に広がる味付けのように感じました。
料理は素晴らしいのですが、店としての環境面・衛生面では利用しづらい食堂のように感じるでしょう。

This is a small udon eatery located along the shopping street near the west exit of Kamata Station. Although there are seats, it feels closer to a standing udon shop. The interior is extremely cramped, with aisles barely wide enough for two people to pass. The shop is on the ground floor, but it's not recommended for wheelchair users or for those carrying large luggage such as suitcases.
Cardboard boxes are piled up in various places, and overall cleanliness is not well maintained. In addition, the staff’s service is poor. From entering and leaving the shop to receiving food ordered via the ticket machine, interactions are almost entirely wordless, and the staff remain expressionless throughout, making the dining experience rather unpleasant.
On the other hand, the quality of the udon itself is excellent. The noodles have good firmness and elasticity, offering a satisfying chew, while the broth is well balanced - clean and mild, yet flavorful and lingering on the palate. The presentation is rough, but the taste stands out.
While the food itself is very good, the shop's environment and hygiene make it a difficult place to recommend for most visitors.

神田駅北口すぐのところにある、オムライス主体の洋食レストランです。
非常に狭いレストランで、客席もカウンター席のみで10席もありません。しかも店の最も奥の席に着席すると、事実上お手洗いの扉が塞がれてしまうことにも注意が必要です（その場合、客同士の譲り合いで利用するしかありません）。カウンター後ろの通路も狭いため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方にはお勧めできません。スーツケースなどの大きな荷物も、あらかじめコインロッカー等に預けた上で利用した方がいいと思います。
立地上、外国人観光客の利用も見かけますが、メニュー始め店内の掲示物は全て日本語のみです。とは言え、各メニューに番号が割り振ってあるので、番号で注文するとスタッフも快く対応してくれます。なお、会計は現金のみです。
各客席も狭苦しく、ゆったりとくつろげる環境ではありませんが、提供されるオムライスは、味付け・食感・盛り付け、いずれも絶品です。ライスを包むオムレツは、トロトロになり過ぎず固くなり過ぎず絶妙な柔らかさで、しっかりとライスと調和のとれた味付けになっています。オムライスにトッピングされた各種ソースや具材も決して濃い味付けにならず、時間が経過してもコクやまろやかさを失っておらず、最後まで美味しくいただけると思います。値段は高めに設定されているものの、いずれのソース・具材もとても美味しそうに見えるため、コンプリート目的で何度も足繁く訪れる人も少なくありません。
とは言え、グループでワイワイ食事を楽しむところではありませんので、比較的空いている時間を狙い、1人もしくは気心の知れた2人で、プチ贅沢の食事に丁度いいかもしれません。

This is a Western-style restaurant mainly specializing in omelets with rice (omurice), located just a short walk from Kanda Station's North Exit.
The restaurant is very small, with fewer than 10 counter seats. If you sit at the innermost seat, you may block the restroom door, so you will need to coordinate with other customers if someone needs to use it. The passageway behind the counter is also very narrow, making the restaurant unsuitable for wheelchair users. Travelers with large luggage, such as suitcases, should store them in a coin locker beforehand.
Due to its central location in Tokyo, foreign visitors are often seen here, but all menus and signs are written only in Japanese. However, each menu item has a number, so you can order easily by using the numbers, and the staff will respond kindly. Payment is cash only.
The seating is cramped and not designed for a leisurely stay, but the omurice is truly outstanding in flavor, texture, and presentation. The omelet wrapping the rice is cooked to perfection - not too runny and not too firm - blending harmoniously with the seasoned rice. The various sauces and toppings are well-balanced, never overly salty, and retain their richness and smoothness until the very last bite. While the prices are somewhat high, each sauce and topping looks delicious, and many regular customers return repeatedly to try all the variations.
That said, this is not a place for lively group gatherings. Instead, it's best enjoyed alone or with one close companion during off-peak hours, making it an excellent choice for a little indulgent meal.

スープの表面に黒マー油（揚げ分けたニンニクに揚げ油とごま油を調合して作られた真っ黒なマー油）が浮かび、香ばしい香りを楽しむことが出来ることで定評なラーメン店の本店です。その一方で必要以上に油っこくなく、スープもギトギトしておらずむしろスッキリな味わいに仕上がっており、麺のコシやトッピングの具材の食感を全く失わせていないように思います。たっぷりと盛り付けられているため、ガッツリと食べたい人に丁度いいかもしれません。
人気店のためランチタイムは平日休日問わず混雑しますが、平日のディナータイムは混雑することはほとんどありません。また、混雑するとはいえ全ての客席がカウンター席で単身者もしくは2人等の少人数で利用する客が多く、おしゃべりもせず黙々と味を楽しむ客が多いため、客の回転も悪くない、という印象です。
店の立地上、車を利用して来店する客が多いように見受けられますが、渋沢駅から徒歩5分程度のところにあることから、駅からのアクセスも良く、仕事帰りの小腹を満たす目的で利用するのもいいかもしれません。
スタッフの接客対応は概ね良好でした。多くの客に対し接客と調理・給仕をするため、一部の食器は油汚れが取り切れていない場合があります。ただ少なくとも、不愉快に感じる程のものでは無いと思います。

This is the flagship location of a ramen shop well-known for its "Black Ma Oil" - made by blending fried garlic with cooking oil and sesame oil - which floats on the surface of the broth and gives off a wonderfully aromatic, roasted fragrance. Despite its bold appearance, the ramen is not excessively oily; the broth is surprisingly clean and balanced, allowing the firmness of the noodles and the texture of the toppings to stand out. Portions are generous, making it an excellent choice for diners looking for a hearty meal.
Because the restaurant is popular, it becomes crowded during lunch on both weekdays and weekends. However, weekday dinner hours are rarely busy. Even during peak times, the turnover is steady, as all seating consists of counter seats and most guests dine alone or in pairs, focusing quietly on their meal rather than engaging in conversation.
Many customers seem to visit by car, but the restaurant is only about a five-minute walk from Shibusawa Station, making it easily accessible on foot. It can be a convenient stop for a light meal on the way home from work.
Staff service is generally good. Because they serve and cook for a large number of guests, some dishes may occasionally have slight residual oil, but nothing to the extent that would cause discomfort.

熊本駅周辺の（大衆居酒屋を除く）飲食店は、21時に閉店するところが多い中で、数少ない22時まで営業しているレストランです。飛行機や新幹線で夜遅くに熊本駅に到着せざるを得ず、小腹を満たしたい時には丁度いいレストランの選択肢になると思います。
店名に『そば』とある通り、天ぷらそばやとろろそば等の蕎麦料理のメニューが豊富ですが、蕎麦に限らず、うどんや丼物など、いわゆる日本の食堂に見られるような料理も豊富にあります。トッピング、味付け、盛り付け共に奇を衒ったものやこの店ならではの特徴的なものは少なく、典型的な料理が多い、という印象を持つかもしれません。同時に一品料理やお酒の種類も豊富であるため、居酒屋の側面も持ち合わせるレストランであるように思います。店内の照明はやや薄暗く、多くの客席は個室で設えられているため、野卑な騒がしさは少なく仲間内でお喋りをしながら食事をするのにピッタリかもしれません。

This restaurant is one of the few places around Kumamoto Station - excluding casual izakaya-style pubs - that stays open until 10:00 p.m., while many others close at 9:00 p.m. If you arrive at Kumamoto Station late at night by plane or Shinkansen and want a light meal, this can be a very convenient option.
As the name suggests, the restaurant offers a wide variety of soba dishes, such as tempura soba and grated yam soba. In addition to soba, they also serve udon and various rice bowl dishes, similar to what you would find in a typical Japanese diner. The toppings, flavors, and presentation are straightforward and not particularly unique to this restaurant, so you may find the dishes familiar and traditional rather than creative. At the same time, they have a good selection of small side dishes and alcoholic beverages, giving the place a partial izakaya atmosphere.
The lighting inside is somewhat dim, and most of the seating consists of private rooms or semi-private spaces. As a result, the environment is relatively quiet and free from rowdy noise, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a relaxed meal and conversation with friends.

新宿駅東口の繁華街に軒を連ねるレストランの一つで、鶏ガラとんこつのスープを堪能できるラーメン店です。場所柄、外国人観光客も多く利用し、英語のメニューも揃っています。但し、出入口に段差があることと、店内（特に通路）はやや狭いため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方の利用はお勧めできません。スーツケースなどの大きな荷物も、ホテル等に預けられるなら預けてから利用した方がいいでしょう。また、テーブル席はあるものの席の構成の多くがカウンター席であるため、大人数での利用もお勧めできません。その一方で軽く食事をしたり、1〜2人と少人数で食事をする客が多いことから、繁華街のレストランであるにも関わらずそれほど騒がしくない、という印象でした（利用した時間帯がたまたまそうだったからかもしれませんが）。
『鶏ガラとんこつ』のスープは、まろやかでコクのある味わいであるのがほとんどですが、一方で（人に依っては）クセが強く後味がくどい、と感じることがあります。このラーメン店は、そのようなまろやかさ・コクはやや控えめで、醤油・白湯・赤辛のいずれかをブレンドしたスープであってもさっぱり目な味わいとなっています。ややこの店ならではの特徴的に欠ける部分があるものの、誰もが食べやすい味に仕上がっていると感じました。
真っ先にお勧めするレストラン、と言う程ではないものの、もし食事処に迷った場合の一つの選択肢として押さえるのもいいかもしれません。

This restaurant is located in the bustling entertainment district near Shinjuku Station's East Exit and specializes in ramen with a rich chicken-and-pork bone broth. Because of its location, it's frequently visited by international travelers, and English menus are available. 金沢駅至近のホテルで、金沢の観光やビジネスの拠点の一つとしては最適なホテルの1つと言えます。桜や紅葉の季節を始め、金沢の街全体が大いに賑わう時期やイベント開催の時は（他のホテルも同様に）宿泊費が高くなりますが、それ以外は比較的リーズナブルな価格で宿泊できるのも魅力の1つです。
ホテルの外観からも（何回か改修工事がなされているもの）比較的年数を経たような、やや古めかしいホテルであると感じるかもしれません。ロビーや各客室も、綺麗に整えられているものの、ところどころで古さを感じ、清掃では取り切れない汚れも散見されます。そのあたりは宿泊時に特段不愉快に感じる要素にはならないと思いますが、防音についてはやや心許なさを覚えます。廊下や隣室の音はやや聞こえてしまう程度ですが、換気扇をはじめとする駆動音が（部屋にも依るかもしれませんが）耳障りに感じるかもしれません。加えてホテルの目の前は金沢市街の幹線道路であるため、車の往来も多く、特に夜はバイクの音がうるさく鳴り響くことがあります（流石に深夜にはそれらの喧騒は静まりますが）。
意外にもこのホテルは周辺のコンビニエンスストアからやや距離があります。天候が悪い日の食料の調達等は、億劫に感じるかもしれません。
スタッフの接客対応は、特段不愉快に感じるものではなく、一定の距離を保ちながらの接客だと感じました。

This hotel is located very close to Kanazawa Station, making it one of the most convenient bases for sightseeing or business in the city. During peak travel seasons - such as cherry blossom or autumn foliage periods - or during major events when the entire city becomes busy, room rates increase (as is common with other hotels as well). Outside those times, however, the hotel offers relatively reasonable prices, which is one of its appealing points.
From the exterior - which has undergone several renovations - you may feel that the building is somewhat old. Although the lobby and guestrooms are kept clean and orderly, signs of age are noticeable in various places, and some stains remain that regular cleaning can no longer remove. While these aspects are unlikely to significantly detract from your stay, the soundproofing may feel somewhat insufficient. Sounds from the hallway and neighboring rooms can be heard to a degree, and mechanical noises such as the ventilation fan may be bothersome depending on the room. Additionally, the hotel faces one of Kanazawa's main roads, where traffic is heavy; motorcycle noise in particular can be loud at night (though it usually becomes quiet by late night).
Surprisingly, convenience stores are not located very close to the hotel. On days with bad weather, going out to buy food or other necessities may feel inconvenient.
The staff's service is polite and satisfactory, maintaining an appropriate professional distance without being unfriendly.
