新なにわ筋の通り沿いにあるトンカツレストランです。
昭和中期から京都で続くレストランの大阪店で、提供されるトンカツは非常にこだわりを見せており、肉は柔らかくふっくらと拵えられており、口の中で解けるような、やや甘さを利かせた旨味が特徴的です。高い矜持をもった料理を提供し続けているのが分かります。
塩やウスターソースの他、（ランチタイム、ディナータイムにより異なりますが）わさび醤油やデミグラスソース等のソースを選ぶことが出来ます。重苦しくなる程ではありませんが、やや濃厚な味付けであるため、塩やわさび醤油などのさっぱりとしたソースの方がいいように思いました。デミグラスソースは京都の本店からの定番の味ですが、ソース自体は確かに美味しいものの、そちらの味の方が勝ってしまい、トンカツならではの味が打ち消されているようにも感じました。
人気店であるため、店内には充分な席数があっても、平日休日問わずランチタイムは混雑し、店外に行列が出来る程です。一皿一皿丁寧に拵えられていることもあり、空いている時間帯でも注文から給仕にやや時間を要する場合があります。スタッフは一様にハキハキとしており、適度の距離感を保った接客対応でした。

This is a tonkatsu (Japanese breaded pork cutlet) restaurant located along Shin-Naniwasuji Street.
It's the Osaka branch of a restaurant that has operated in Kyoto since the mid-Showa era. The tonkatsu served here clearly reflects a strong commitment to quality: the pork is tender, plump, and carefully prepared, with a slightly sweet, rich umami that seems to melt in your mouth. You can easily sense the pride and consistency behind the cooking.
In addition to salt and Worcestershire-style sauce, guests can choose from several sauces depending on whether it's lunchtime or dinnertime, including wasabi soy sauce and demi-glace sauce. While the overall seasoning of the tonkatsu is not overwhelmingly heavy, it's somewhat rich, so lighter options such as salt or wasabi soy sauce felt better balanced. The demi-glace sauce is a long-standing signature flavor from the Kyoto main branch; although the sauce itself is certainly delicious, it can be dominant, somewhat masking the distinctive flavor of the tonkatsu itself.
As this is a popular restaurant, lunchtime is crowded on both weekdays and weekends, and it's common to see lines forming outside even though the restaurant has ample seating. Each dish is prepared with care, so even during quieter hours there may be a noticeable wait between ordering and being served. The staff were consistently energetic, polite, and professional, maintaining a comfortable and respectful distance in their service.
