大阪城公園内本丸南側に鎮座、秀吉・秀頼・秀長を祀り、出世開運祈願の神として知られる神社。もとは明治12年（1879）、明治天皇の勅令によって中之島字山崎の鼻（現在の中央公会堂の地点）に、京都の豊國神社の別社として建立された。その後、中之島図書館近くに移された後、昭和36年（1961）に現在の場所へ。境内には1972年につくられた「秀石庭」がある。海に面した大阪の発展にちなみ、海洋をテーマとした庭園で、秀吉の馬印であった千成瓢箪の形を地割模様とし、巨石を組み合わせて「石山」を表現している。わずか一代で無名の足軽から天下を取った秀吉にあやかり、当社のお守りの千成瓢箪をひとつずつ買い増して、出世開運を願う人も多いそうだ。

大坂城... 続きを読む主である豊臣秀吉を祀っているだけに、歴史があり広々とした境内を想像させますが、実際の境内は周遊するだけであれば30分も要さない程度の広さです。創建も1879年と比較的新しく、元は大阪市中央公会堂があるところに建てられ、現在の場所に移築されたのは太平洋戦争終戦後の1956年となります。鳥居をくぐるとすぐに目に入る豊臣秀吉像も2007年に復元されたものであり、拝殿を含む建物のほとんどがそこまでの歴史の積み重ねを感じず、比較的新しく（豊臣秀吉像を除き）この神社ならではの特徴は見つけづらい、という印象を持つでしょう。
境内全体の造りも非常にシンプルでさっぱりしているため、少なくとも平日は祭事でも無い限りこの神社に立ち寄る参拝客は多くなく、外国人観光客も参拝して立ち去る、という人が多いように見受けられます。
This is one of several shrines across Japan dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, located on the south side of the main keep of Osaka Castle. Admission is free, and anyone can visit and pay their respects without purchasing a ticket.
Given that it enshrines Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the lord of Osaka Castle, one might expect a long-established shrine with a vast and historically layered precinct. In reality, however, the grounds are relatively compact and can be fully explored in under 30 minutes. The shrine was originally established in 1879, which makes it comparatively modern by Japanese standards. It was first built on the site where the Osaka City Central Public Hall now stands, and was relocated to its current location in 1956 after World War II.
The statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi that immediately catches your eye after passing through the torii gate was reconstructed in 2007. Most of the existing buildings, including the main worship hall, do not convey a strong sense of great antiquity and appear relatively modern (with the exception of the statue). As a result, visitors may find it somewhat difficult to identify architectural or historical features that make this shrine particularly distinctive compared to others.
The overall layout of the precincts is simple and uncluttered. On weekdays, unless a festival or special event is being held, the shrine does not seem to attract large numbers of worshippers. Many foreign tourists appear to stop briefly for a visit and then move on. 閉じる投稿日:2026/02/13
