リオン移動日です。その前にシャモニーモンブランを軽くハイキング。
Day 1 in Lyon. Prior to my depature, I hiked Chamonix Mont-Blanc area.

おはようございます。今日は午後2時40分にバスでリオンに移動で、それまでは時間があるので、お天気を見ながら、結局ホテルから近場の湖近辺に行くことにしました。ホテルをチェックアウトし荷物を預かってもらい、ホテルゲストカードで乗れるシャモニーバスに乗ります。シャモニーセントラルが私のホテル、観光案内所近く、シャモニースゥドだど長距離バス停があるところです。勿論バス運賃は乗車時にも一日で3ユーロ払えます。
Good morning. I am heading to Lyon at 2:40 pm, so I have half day to do short hiking until then. As weather seemed to be somewhat holding, I decided to go to a lake nearby hotel. I checked out the hotel, left my luggage, and took a Chamonix bus, which was covered by the guest card that my hotel had given me. Chamonix Central was my stop, Chamonix Sud was the stop for long distance bus terminal. Of course, you can pay inside the bus too (3€ per day).

Les Pélerins (レ ペルラン)という所で降りました。というのも、昨日電車の中から見えた湖がアクセスよさそうだし、今日みたいな半日観光にはいいと思ったのです。降りたところで一応復路のためにバス停にあった時刻表をパチリ。h:11というのは、毎時11分にバスが来るということ。
I got off at Les Pélerins. As I was passing by this route by train yesterday, I saw a lake beside the train station. It was an ideal location for me to do a half day hiking not too far from the hotel before I head to Lyon. As I did not have a timetable, wifi or data connection, I took the timetable at the bus stop for my return way in case. It is great to know that every past 11 minutes and 41 minutes, there is a bus.

うーん、いいねぇ。曇り空ですが、ハイキングにはこれくらいの気温でいい。
I feel good. It is cloudy but it is ideal for hiking rather than too hot weather.

この湖にきたかったのです。
This is the lake I wanted to come.

ゲラン湖。
Lake Gaillands.

静かで青緑が眩しい。
It is so quiet and blue-green colors are so vivid.

小さな可愛い野生の花たち。
Les petits fleurs sauvages.

赤いザリガニの一種みたいな殻が水の中に結構見えます。
Do you see pieces like crayfish tails in the water?

紫色の花が大好きです。特にこんな変わった感じのもいい。
I love any purple flowers and this one is so exotic for me.

写真の色設定がおかしくて白っぽいですが、奥に見えるのがボッソン氷河。
The photo setting is odd so that it is too white but we can see the Bosson Glacier there.

このアヒル家族をみてほっこり。お母さん(左のだと思いました)が常に子供達が遠くに行きすぎないか見守っているのです。
I felt warm by watching this family. The mother (I think she is the left one) was ensuring that her kids were not going too far from them.

小さい可憐な花ほど好みな私。
The smaller and more delicate flowers are, the prettier for me.

ロッククライミングをしています。すごいな、強い腕でないし、一回インドアのロッククライミングしたけどこわいこわい。

Those people are rock climbing. I admire them as I do not have strong arms. I have tried once indoor one and it was rather scary for me.

「こんにちは」と言ってみましょう。このようなところを散歩されていたり釣りをしている方は必ず笑顔で返してくれます。この湖は小さめだけど釣りしてもいいので、釣りの方がちらほら私みたいな観光客よりいます。
Say "bonjour" to those who are taking a walk or fishing and they would surely smile and greet you back. This lake is small but it is allowed to fish, so there were more people enjoying fishing than someone like myself when I was walking.

氷河がきれいにみえます。まだアルプスにいたいなぁ。
The glacier can be seen well. I really want to stay more in Alps.

なぜかゲラン湖のすぐとなりの湖は釣り禁止。もしかしたらあのホテルか別荘の所有地なのかな。
Somehow this side (just beside the Lake Gaillands from the previous photos) of lake, it is prohibited to fish. Not sure if this belongs to those chalet owners, etc...

「人間の領土争いには興味ないわよ」

水面に映し出されるかんじがいいですね。
The reflection on the water is beautiful.

ゲラン湖を再びみると先ほどの家族鴨がまた泳いでいます子供たちの動線がまだバラバラなので、親がもは注意深く見守っています。
Looking back to Lake Gaillands, those family geese are still swimming. Kids were puddling hard but their routes were irregular so that parents were carefully supervising.

緑が気持ち良い。
Full of greeness.

またかもちゃんたちがきますよ。
Here again, they are coming this way.

親がも、お父さんかな、が止まり木に。
The father maybe jumped on the branch.

「私も」「僕も！」と次々に親どりにならって着木。彼らはこれ以上私に近づかない。というか、おおきな鴨は結構人間に近づくけどこどもがいると親がもは神経質になっているのか人間と距離を取るのかもしれませんね。
"Me too" "Me too!" Others follow the father. They don't come closer to me more than this so I am just zooming. I assume adults only geese are more accustomed to us but the family with babies were so careful to keep a distance from me.

さぁ岩側にいってみます。ここもまた湖、泳ぎとカヌー禁止のサイン。
Let's go to another side of the lake , rocks side. I have found another lake here too, swimming and canoeing prohibited.

左手に廃墟が見えるでしょうか。こういうところスキー。
There is a ruin on my left side. It is exciting!

ローマ遺跡かもしれません。このあたりはローマ支配下のときもありましたから。
This could be Roman ruin as this area has been conqured by Romans back then.

どうする? 戻る? いやいやもう少し歩いてみない?
What are you going to do? Going back? No, should I keep on going a bit more far?

これはアスレチックテーマパーク。かなり本格的で結構運動慣れした人向きでしょう。この隣にはロッククライミングをしているひとたちが沢山。
This is an atheletic theme park so you can pay and play these games. They look fan but these are built for fit people. Beside here, people are rock climbing.

丘を越え行こうよ、口笛吹けないけど。。と, どことなくあちらへいきます。
Let's cross the hill by whistling... I can't wistle but there is a song in Japan. I am just wandering around.

かわいいお家とボソン氷河。なんとなくハイキングしていてこのような景色に遭遇するよろこび。
Oh wow, pretty house and Bosson glacier. It is a joy to encounter an unexpected view like this.

氷河アップにして。写真設定間違えて真っ白だなぁ。ただこのときは興奮していていちいち撮れた写真をかまっていないので。。
Zooming up the glacier. I was too excited to hike in this kind of beautiful spot without any plan so I did not even bother checking if my photos were ok or not...

シャモニーモンブランの外れにきたみたいです。
It looks like I am at the edge of Chamonix Mont-Blanc.

そうしたら川と氷河が目の前に、独り占め！
Then all I had in front of me was that the river and glacier! All for myself.

こんな山と川を眺められて、自然を感じられて自然に囲まれるところに住んでいて羨ましい。
I envy these people who can admire the mountains and river, feel nature and be surrounded by nature.

時々犬の散歩、ジョギングをしている人に遭遇するくらいで、とても綺麗な静かな散策道。
Sometimes I bumed into people who walked their dogs and joggers; otherwise, it is very quiet hiking path.

小川にもならないくらいの水の流れにあいました。
There is a little "stream" like water floating.

レンゲの花も咲き乱れています。気分はフレンチハイジです(笑)。
There are plenty of stragalus sinicus. I feel French Heidi haha

小川です。水が冷たい。ここでサンドイッチなんか食べたら最高だっただろうなぁ。
This is another stream. I touched the water, it was cold. I did not bring any sandwitch but wished I had done so to do picknic lunch.

Snow melted water is going down.

あちらに登りたい誘惑にかられます。少しのぼったりおりたり、左右にいったり、うろうろ。。2ひと2人のハイカーに挨拶したり。。
My temptation to go there ... I did, went up, looked down to see of the view would be good, came down, right, left, then I saw two people hiking, said "bonjour", ...

ハイジですから標識はいらないはずですが、この先続けると単位が何時間になっているので、残念ですがそろそろ引き返しますか。
Being French Heidi, I would not need any directions, joke aside, I probably should go back now as the next destination would be 1h30 away as I would run out the time unfortunately.

なんて爽快な。氷河、山、川、湖、小川、緑、動物、岩、廃墟、素敵な、でもとても初心者にもやさしいハイキングをありがとう。またきます！
Mmmmm so refreshing. Thank you glaciers, mountains, rivers, lakes and streams, greens, rocks, animals and ruins. It was a wonderful yet easy hike. I would be back here!!

雲行きが怪しくなってきました。運良く電車の駅もあり電車も来たのでこれで帰ります。
The sky is getting darker quickly. I fortunately found a train station and the next train was just due!

Behind the Bossons station panel, there is a house with the carp decoration.. that is for boy's celebration in Japan in May. Coincidence.

シャモニーに戻ってきて入ったカフェで軽くツナサンドと珈琲を。この珈琲屋さん、スコットランドの人達の愉快なところ。珈琲はとっても美味しかった。チキンサンドを頼んだけどなくて、お互いを冗談で罵りあっていました。「お前の仕入れのズボラさがいけないんだ」って。
I came back to Chamonix and had a quick lunch at coffee shop that was managed by Scots. They were very funny. I ordeted their signature chicken sandwitch and they did not have chicken. They were joking each other, blaming on the inventory person. Haha

そしてそれとなくケーキ屋さんにひきこまれていく私。何故か急にモンブランにきたのに、モンブランケーキを食べていないことにショーウインドーを見て急に気づく。「あの、あまりお腹はすいてないのですが、モンブランに興味がありますが、甘すぎないですか?」ときくと、彼女はにこやかに「甘すぎないのならこちらかこちらですね。モンブランはくるみのリキュールとクリームがふんだんに使われていて、美味しいですけど、とても甘くて重いですよ。」「でも。。。日本のモンブランケーキと比べてみたいし、話のタネに下さい！」
I was then "absorbed" by a bakery shop. There is something about French bakeries. I suddenly realized that I had not eaten a Mont-Blanc cake,which everyone in Japan links Mont-Blanc to that "cake". I asked this kind lady :"I am intersted in Mont-Blanc.. but I would not like too sweet cake." She was rather franc :"then I would not recommend you Mon-Blanc as this has got lots of chestnut liquir and cream, don't get me wrong it is good, but it is so sweet and heavy." Mmm. "But I came all the way from Japan and this Mont-Blanc cake is so famous there. I want to try the cake here made in Mont-Blanc!"

なんと彼女は私の撮影用にお皿にのせてくれたあと、持ち帰り用に包んで下さいました。このくるみふんだんなクリームの下にさすがフランス、くるみリキュールの強いものがかなりたくさんスポンジに吸い込まれていて、下の部分は少しサクサクしたクッキーのシェルの端がビターチョコでコーティングされているという、はっきり言って日本とは別物のモンブランのケーキ屋で買ったモンブランでした。
This lovely lady put my cake on the paper plate for my photo and then packed it to take away. This cake had indeed very intense chestnut cream and underneath, there was a sponge that had been soaked by chestnut strong liqur with the cookie type schell that had been coated by bitter chocolate. This was so different from Mont-Blanc cake made in Japan.

荷物を取りにホテルに帰ると、レセプションの方に「先日会議があってお客様に配っていたペリエがあるのでよろしければどうぞ。」と苺とスイカ味を頂きました。スイカはカナダ未上陸ですしイチゴも初めて。ありがとうございました。このホテルも、温かい人達でおすすめ。
I went back to pick up my luggage at hotel. The receptionist offered me two Perriers. "We had a conference and these are leftover from that time. Please have them if you would like." I had never tried both flavours and watermelon is not available in Canada yet. I appreciated their hospitality. This hotel is recommended!

パーク ホテル スイス&スパ ホテル

リオン行きのバスOuibus は最前列にアサインされましたので、ここでケーキとペリエを広げパチリ。ただフランスのバスは揺れが激しいので流暢にお皿の上のものを食べるのは難しいかも(笑)。
I was assigned the first row seat in the bus to go to Lyon. I have my cake and Perrier, so I won't be hungry ☺ But French buses normally move so much, it is not easy to eat something still while you are on board haha

また会う日までアルプス。私の思い出はモンブランケーキのように甘く心に残るでしょう。バスはぐねぐね道をかっとばします。
Good bye Alps, I am going to miss you, my sweet memory will stay as the Mont-Blanc cake.. The bus is going through the winding roads with great speed.

天気は私の滞在中なんとか持ち堪えてくれました。リオンまでの途中で豪雨が20分ほど、その次の日シャモニーモンブランエリアは一日中雨だったよう。四時間のバスの旅は運転士がスマホを見ていたりしてなんかいやでした。が、この雨のおかげで彼もそんな暇はなくなりました。
The weather was finally holding off for me until I was in the mid point of Lyon. It pored for 20 minutes and the day after I moved to Lyon, it was raining all day there apperantly. The four hours bus ride was a bit uncomfortable as the driver was checking on his smartphone sometimes but because of this rain, he had to focus on driving.

交通渋滞で20分遅れたものの、リオンに無事到着。私のアパートのホステスは今まででも最高の方のお一人でした。返答も早いし的確、リオンペラッシュ駅からの交通手段を教えてくれ、そしてなんとドリンクとおいしいおつまみ(チーズ、コロッケ、生ハム、チーズシュー)で迎えてくれました。彼女と30分くらいお話しつつ食べ飲みし、夕食の予約のレストランへ。九時半にしておいてよかった。屋外の美しい席に通されローヌ赤ワインを頂き至福のとき。
Arrived at Lyon 20 minutes late due to trafic jam getting into Lyon. I met my host lady at apartment. Without exaggrating, she has been one of the best hosts I have ever met using AirBnB. She was so responsive to any messages, gave precise directions from Lyon Perrache station to her place, and welcomed me with drinks and nibbles (fromage, croquettes, jambons, et choux). I enjoyed the conversation with her for a while and I headed to the restaurant nearby that I had booked for 9:30. She had known this place and told me a great place.

I was escorted to a wonderful outside seat. I asked for Rone red wine, which was fantastic.

このレストランの名前はペタンクの術方からつけられたらしく、私の目と鼻の先でペタンクをされている方がいます。ペタンクのあの、ボールがぶつかって鳴るカチンという音がいいのです。プロヴァンスを思い出しました。
The restaurant name indeed came from petanque play and they were playing it just in front of me. If you have never seen petanque playing, it is nice to hear the balls hitting each other and make 'cling' noise. It reminded me of Provence.

In front of the restaurant, they have a big terrace (I can call front yard) seats and this is the one I took from my outside seat. Michelin recommends this restaurant as great place to eat - simple, affordable, tradional and uses fresh ingrediants.

夏野菜とメカジキ。既に9時45分ですし、先ほどアパート主さんに素晴らしいおつまみとフランスのビールを頂いたので、ここはあまり重くないもの、とこのお皿を選択。そんな私の条件を全て満たしてくれるシンプルでごちゃごちゃしてなくて味わい深くて軽い、素晴らしい一品。

Swordfish with summer veggies - I wanted to eat light as it is already 9:45 pm and I had lots of great "grignoter" (nibble) with a glass of French beer offered by my lovely hosta at apartment. This dish was perfect from all of my perspective - simple, clean, flavourful and light. Excellent so that I finished it all: )

あまーいモンブランを先程食べたし、チーズもアパートでいただいたけれど、甘くないデザートはあるかと聞いたら、チーズをすすめられました。せっかくのリオン、この地域のと聞くと、この液体状のチーズにチャイブが刻んで入っているのがリオンでの甘くないデザートと。うーん、これまた美味しく完食。結構なボリュームで二人でもいいくらいだけど7.8ユーロだったかな、お手頃です。
It makes my heart really warm when I am finished my main plate, they take their time to come back ro me by asking how was the plate, then they offer me the desert. Don't feel obligated - it is ok to say "no" or just take coffee/tea too but they normally do not ask coffee/tea with desert. I had eaten sweet Mont-Blanc cake earlier but I wanted to try Lyonnaise savory desert. They offered me this liquid based cheese with LOTS of chives. It was really good and I had never tried it. It was only 7,8€ and it easily could feed two people.

お会計は外で食べていても中にきて払います。店内もなんて可愛いとモダンが同居しているのでしょうか。フランス語の練習も兼ねて2人のサーバーの方たちと少しおしゃべりして、とても気に入ったので明後日の予約もとってもらいました。
For payment, you actually have to come inside of the restaurant even if you were sitting outside. Inside was also such a quint yet modern space.
I love practicing French as much and I was talking to two ladies who served me. I really enjoyed it here, so I booked for dinner day after tomorrow.

私が食べていたのはこの通りを挟んだ向こう側。ちなみにもう夜11時半過ぎ。
I was eating not here..across from this street. It is already passed 11:30.

このプラタナスの下、ペタンクコースの前で頂く食事はただの「食事処」ではなく、「気分をリラックスさせてくれるところ」です。せかせかするのをやめなさい。。。 ここに2日後アパート主さんと来ることになりました。本当に素敵なところ。リオンの台所はまさにわたしの心を揺さぶったのでした。読んで頂きありがとうございました。
This seating place with many platanus trees canopy with petanque play yards in front was more than just "place to eat", "place to comfort yourself", forget about time... I finally would come back with the apartment host lady two days later. Really lovely. Lyon's food has definetely shaken my heart.

  美食の街「リヨン」で、早速、お気に入りのレストラン、見つけたようですね！
  
  ガイドブックを見てるだけでは、どうも、リヨンに惹かれなくて…。
  でも、ももんがあまんさんはお気に入りようだし…。
  dankeさんの目にはどう映ったのかなぁ。続きが楽しみ！
  
  さて、今日、フランス語のレッスンで、「felicitations」を使ったフレーズを習いました。
  
  「フランスチームのワールドカップ優勝、おめでとう！」は、
  felicitations à l'equipe de France pour sa victoire en coupe du Monde.
  
  「felicitations」と「pour」はセットみたいなこと言ってました。
  
  フランス語、難しすぎ…。ぜんぜん、上達しない…。（>.<）
