Japan　Nii's holiday② in Showa Kinen Park ～ミツバチばあやの冒険～

Around 10 years ago, I met Nii in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city.
She was from Taiwan married to a Pakistani, had three children.
Her gramma was a Japanese.
From Nii I could learn many things about Pakistan, living
information, differences in customs between Far East and South
Asia and much much more.
唐辛子婆がカラチでNii に会ったのは10年以上も前になります。
祖母が日本人の、台湾出身のNiiはパキスタン男性と結婚し
3人のお子さんがいました。
Niiからはパキスタンについての数えられないほどの様々なこと
生活情報や、極東と南アジアの習慣の違いなどを教えてもらいました。

It's the second day for Nii in Tokyo.
Our schedule today :
Meet at the JR Nishitachikawa station, enjoy cherry blossoms
and tulips, move to the Joyful Honda in Mizuho for shopping
gardening materials, and come to our house to eat sakuramochi.
今日は東京滞在二日目。
JR西立川駅で待ち合わせして昭和記念公園の桜とチューリップを楽しみ、
瑞穂のジョイフルホンダにお連れしたあと、我が家で桜餅
というスケジュールです。

Since the temprature in the Showa Kinen Park is lower than in
central Tokyo, cherry blossom conditions were still very fine.
昭和記念公園の気温は都心よりも低いため
桜の状態はまだとても良くて。

Tulips have begun to bloom.
チューリップも咲きはじめ。

"I saw many tulips in Turky.　
I saw pictures of tulips on the wall of a famouse mosque. "
Turky is the original home of tulips.
「チューリップはトルコでもいっぱい見たわ。
有名なモスクの壁画にもあったし。」
トルコはチューリップの原産地ですもんね。

"Recently we had business trips to overseas many times.
Paris,Praque, Athens, Istanbul and Jordan where my younger
sister lives.I also visited Madam Q in San Francisco."

「最近は用事もあって海外旅行が多かったわ。
パリにプラハにアテネにイスタンブールに、妹の住んでるヨルダンや
マダムQのいるサンフランシスコも。」
まあ、懐かしい。
唐辛子婆がマダムQを訪れたのは2009年のことでした。

Nii's husband is the owner of an English language school in Pakistan.
She has to help his business frequently.
Niiのご主人はパキスタンの英語学校のオーナーで
Niiもなにかと手伝っていることが多くて。

"Hi, look at the camera!"
Ignoring the mother's request,the baby was eating wood chips.
「ほら、こっちむいて！」
親の呼びかけを無視してウッドチップを食べちゃってる赤ちゃん。

View from the top of Pyramid was still like winter landscape.
ピラミッドの上から見渡すと、景色はまだ冬のやう。

After we enjoyed cherry blossoms,
hopped on my car I took her to the Joyful Honda in Mizuho area.
I was too busy talking with Nii so I took a wrong way.
I made U-turn in a hurry.
In Pakistan, it was not unusual to drive the other way around.
桜を堪能したあとは
駐車場に止めてあった車で瑞穂のジョイフル本田にお連れしました。
おしゃべりに夢中で道を間違えちゃった唐辛子婆。
あわててUターンです。
うふふ、パキスタンでは車が逆走するのが日常茶飯事だったけどね。

The topics that we talked about were:
We have many attractive friends living in the huge compound
of our condominium.
One of them won a prize at a national contest of Patchwork.

何をおしゃべりしてたかというと。
唐辛子婆の住んでいる団地はとても大きくて
いろんな種類のとても魅力的な人がいるのよ。
パッチワークで全国大会入賞っていう人もいるの。

"Wow, I want to see her!"
Nii's another hobby is patchwork.
Let's meet her next time.
「う～～わ、その人に会ってみたいわ！」
Niiのもうひとつの趣味はパッチワークなのです。
次回はぜひそうしましょ。

Here we are at Joyful Honda.
Let's have lunch first.
Udon noodle and Tempura are safe for you,
because they contain only shrimps and vegetables.
"What a delisious potato this is!"
ジョイフルホンダに着きました。
まずは腹ごしらえ。
ウドンと天麩羅なら大丈夫。エビと野菜だから。
「このお芋おいし～～い！」

Then, she looked around plants and flowers,
それから園芸好きのNiiはいろんな花を見て回り

took pictures.
写真を撮り。

Although Nii is not so interested in costume or handbags,
excitited at gardening goods.
服やハンドバッグにはあまり興味がないけれど
園芸用品となると目がキラキラ。

How cute they are!
なんて可愛いの！

Oh, what is this?
It seems to be Australian flowers.
あら、これは何かしら？オーストラリアの花らしいけど。

This is also a strange one.
これも不思議な花ねえ。

Nii bought some seeds for the Gardening Group in Karachi as souvenir.「ガーデニングの会」へのお土産に種を買います。

After that I took Nii to our house, having Japanese seasonal sweet
sakuramochi.
Nii, my husband and I enjoyed chattering about life in Karachi.
このあと我が家に来てもらって唐辛子爺と3人で桜餅を食べて
懐かしいカラチのおしゃべりを楽しみました。

My husband became very interested in Taiwan
from the conversation with Nii,
he began to read about Taiwanese history book.
Let's visit there as soon as the weather in Taiwan becomes cooler!
唐辛子爺は台湾にとても興味がわいたらしく
その後台湾の歴史についての本を読みはじめました。
台湾が涼しくなったらすぐにでも行ってみませう！

We will take a Skybus at the Marunouchi area and then
visit the Yokohama English Garden tommorrow.
明日は東京駅のあたりでスカイバス（オープンバス）に乗って
そのあと横浜イングリッシュガーデンへとお連れします。

  It's a rare travel report.
  It was a story about beautiful Japan and a beautiful heart.
  Did Nii also read this travelogue?

  もちろんNiiはこの一連の旅行記を読みましたよ。
  そのために英語で書いたんですもの。
  
  コロナ渦が済んだらサンフランシスコにいるNiiの心の姉（日本人）
  （血のつながりはないけど本当の姉妹のやうな人たち！）が東京を
  訪れるはずです。
  その時にNiiももう一度東京に来てくれないかなあと思っています。
