行者還トンネル東口から大峯奥駈道で弥山まで~Mt.Misen via the Omine Okugake Trail

雨続きの合間の晴れの登山日和、行者還トンネル東口から大峯奥駈道を通って弥山まで日帰り登山をしてきました。

Taking advantage of a break in the continuous rain, I went on a day trip to Mt. Misen, hiking from the east entrance of the Gyojagaeri Tunnel, via the Omine Okugake Trail.

行者還トンネル東口前には、ハイカーの自動車がずらり。

山に行くことは、三密と暑さを避けてリフレッシュできるアンダーコロナの合理的な行動といえそうです。

In front of the eastern entrance to the Gyojagaeri Tunnel, there was a long line of cars belonging to hikers.
Going to the mountains seems like a sensible activity during the COVID era, as it allows you to avoid crowded places and the heat while refreshing yourself.

大峯奥駈道 名所・史跡

令和４年１２月２８日まで行者還トンネルは工事中です。トンネル東口からは、トンネル西口から行くよりも片道１時間くらい長い行程になります。

The Gyojagaeri Tunnel is under construction until December 28th, 2022. The journey from the east entrance of the tunnel takes an hour longer than the journey from the west entrance.

人里離れた異世界に紛れ込んだような不思議な感覚につつまれます。ここで時間を過ごしていると、日常生活の出来事で心にくっついているものがバサバサと剥がれ落ちていきます。

行者還トンネル東口から大台ケ原の方を望む景色です。大峰山脈の山々が続きます。
雨が続いていたせいか、緑が青々としています。

1時間程度、上り坂を歩き続けます。

道中、「感情のコントロールをしてください」と言われて、「そりゃー。ムリだよ。」と思ったというオジサンを思い出しました。確かに、脳の中に組み込まれた感情を創り出す神経系統に一定の刺激を与えると感情が発生するという旧来の支配的な考え方によれば、そういう考えもわかる気がします。しかし、アンガーコントロールが流行っているとおり、感情はコントロールできるものというのが今の時代の流れですし、感情を刺激に対する反応ととらえるのは古い感じがします。

This is the view from the eastern entrance of the Gyojagaeri Tunnel, looking towards Odaigahara. You can see the entire mountains of the Omine mountain range stretching out before you.
Perhaps because of the recent rain, the greenery is lush and vibrant.
We continued walking uphill for about an hour.
Along the way, I was reminded of an older gentleman who was told to "control your emotions," and thought, "Well, that's impossible." According to the traditional, dominant view that emotions arise when a certain stimulus is applied to the neural system in the brain that creates emotions, I can understand that. However, the popularity of anger management shows that emotions can be controlled and observed. Viewing emotions as merely a reaction to stimuli feels outdated.

ここから聖法の宿跡（理源大使像）あたりまでは平坦です。

From here to the site of the sacred dwelling (the statue of Rigen Daishi stands), the terrain is flat.

道の途中で木々の間から雄大な大峯山脈が姿を現します。神韻縹緲たる修行の地という雰囲気があります。

Along the way, the majestic Omine mountain range appeared through the trees, giving the area the atmosphere of a sacred place for spiritual training.

木が沢山ある場所で休憩するのにいい場所です。この辺りの土壌は、こげ茶色で、栄養たっぷりという感じがします。

This is a pleasnt spot to rest, surrounded by many trees. The soil here is dark brown and seems very fertile.

ここから弥山まで再び上り坂になります。

From here to Mt. Misen, it's uphill again.

空気が薄くなるせいか山頂あたりでややバテましたが、弥山山頂(標高1895m)に到着です。

I felt a little tired near the top, probably due to the thinning air, but I finally reached the summit of Mt. Misen (1,895m above sea level).

The Tenkawa Great Benzaiten Okusha shrine is located on Mt. Misen.

ヨドバシ梅田のキャンプ用品コーナーで購入した、ガスコンロでおなじみの岩谷産業様のガスバーナーの初のお披露目です。
キャンプ専門メーカーの製品もいいですが、コンパクトで持ち運びしやすい上に、交換のガスボンベをスーパーで買えるので便利です。
水は、山小屋で1リットル100円で購入できます。水を背負って登ることを考えると、ここで水を分けてもらえるのは助かります。

This is the first time using a gas burner from Iwatani Corporation, a company well-known for its gas stoves. I purchased it at the camping equipment section of Yodobashi Camera Umeda.
While products from specialized camping manufacturers are good, this burner is compact, easy to carry, and convenient because you can buy replacement gas canisters at supermarkets.
Water can be purchased at the mountain hut for 100 yen per liter. Considering the hassle of carrying water up the mountain, this was a great help.

感覚が鋭敏になっているのか、いつもより何となくコーヒーの香りが強く感じられます。

Perhaps my senses are heightened, as I can somehow smell the coffee more strongly than usual.

(15:00復路出発)
山の上で食べるカップヌードル。山の上まで歩いて、自分で作って食べるカップヌードルは格別！　今までで一番おいしいカップヌードルです。

I ate Cup noodles at the top of a mountain. Cup noodles that you make and eat yourself after hiking to the summit are exceptional! They are the most delicious cup noodles I've ever had.

(分岐・17:00)
分岐から行者還トンネルまで20分くらいの下り坂となります。

帰り路では、トンボの群れに遭遇したり、ヒグラシの声がして、山の生物との出会いを楽しみました。

行者還トンネル東口には、17:30頃に到着しました。

From the fork in the road to the Gyojagaeri Tunnel, it's about a 20-minute downhill walk.
On the way back, we encountered swarms of dragonflies and heard the sound of cicadas, enjoying our encounters with mountain creatures.
We arrived back at the eastern entrance of the Gyojagaeri Tunnel around 17:30.
