■氷河が迫る街、サース・フェーを訪れました。
氷河から流れてくるひんやりとした冷気が街全体を包んでいます。

ホテル・メトロポールのバルコニーからの眺め。
窓を開けたとたん、ひんやりした空気が飛び込んできました。
日本は猛暑のはず。（7/6）

  なつかしのホテル

  たびたびのご訪問ありがとうございます。
  
  このbigwellさんのサースフェーのページを見せて貰ってびっくり。私の好きなホテル、Du Glacierがトップの写真の正面にありました。
  
  サースフェーにしてはモダーンな外観で雰囲気にそぐわないのですが
  プールが付いて、氷河が真正面に遮るものがない立地、部屋の広さと清潔さ、レストランが二つあってそれがいずれもおいしい、ツアーを取らず個人それも長期滞在が主で静かな家庭的なホテルでした。
  
  所が私が泊った1996、98年には星がついてなく破格に安かったのです。それをホテル一覧で見つけて予約したのが当りでした。
  星がつかないのは（想像ですが）家族と他に数人のパートだけでやっているので物理的なサービス数値（部屋数対従業員数のような）劣っているためなのでしょうか。
  所が2000年には4*になってしまい高くなったので諦めて2000,02年に泊ったのが同じメトロポールなのも奇遇です。
