The ride is appr. 25-30 minutes

Dun Laoghaire is the port of Dublin. Dublin is appr. 8 miles from the town of Dun Laoghaire. Downtown
Dun Laoghaire is a comfortable walk from the pier.
There is a Tourist kiosk at the Terminal with maps and advisors available for information.
Getting to Dublin:
The local train station is located 150 meters from the water shuttle drop off point. The name of the train is DART.
Trains run to Dublin continuously during the day. Travel time is 25-30 minutes to Dublin City Center. Tickets are priced from appr. ￡5-10.
Taxis are also available, prices are approx. Euro30-40 one way and takes around 30-40 minutes, traffic dependent.

If you are on a Princess organized Shore Excursion, take note of the meeting time and location on your tour ticket. Guests meeting onboard do not require a water shuttle ticket unless going ashore prior to their tour. Guests meeting ashore should allow enough time to participate in the standard ticket system.
Elite Guests are invited to meet your Future Cruise and Loyalty Consultant in the Double Down, Deck 6 forward for the next available water shuttle.
Full Suite Guests are invited to proceed to the Concierge Lounge located on deck 14 Aft, where you will meet your Suite Concierge. He will personally escort you directly to the water shuttle once you and your party are ready to go ashore.
All other Guests are requested to collect a ticket, when you and your complete party are ready to go ashore, from Vines Bar, deck 5, where our Cruise Staff will be there to assist you.
Tickets will be broadcast by announcement in the public areas when a shuttle is available. Once waiting time has decreased later in the morning, tickets will no longer be required, and an announcement will be made to advise accordingly.

Shuttles operating are independently run, please check timings and note that delays may be experienced during peak times.
There is no ticket system in place and are on a first come basis. Delays may be experienced during peak times, services are usually busiest between 9:00am-11:00am and returning to the ship from 2:00pm onwards.

アイルランド国立美術館 博物館・美術館・ギャラリー

Room 30 Filippino Lippi (c.1457-1504), Portrait of a Musician, late 1480s

この肖像画のモデルは匿名ですが、楽器と楽譜が描かれていることから、イタリアでプロの宮廷音楽家であった可能性が示唆されます。腕に弓を持ち、詩の朗読の伴奏に用いられた精巧に彫刻されたリラ・ダ・ブラッチョを丁寧に調弦している様子が描かれています。
この楽器は、アポロンが演奏した古代の竪琴と関連付けられ、詩の朗唱の伴奏に使用されました。16世紀以前の楽器は現存していません。
ペトラルカのカンツォーナ（恋歌）に収録されたリラの裏面には、「il chomîcar nõ ?ap tempo mai」（時間前に演奏を始めるな）という銘文があり、人間のせっかちさを戒めているようです。左側の棚には、本、リュート、2枚目のリラ、そしてリコーダーが2本置かれている。

聖母マリアは絵の中央に座り、両腕にキリストの遺体を抱きかかえ、キリストの頭を福音記者ヨハネの肩に預けています。反対側には、明らかに感動しているマグダラのマリアがいます。キリストの残りの二人の弟子は、ニコデモ（左）とアリマタヤのヨセフ（右）です。遠くの背景には、ゴルゴタの丘の十字架刑の場面を去る小さな人物像が描かれています。
ロッジアのアーチの間には、フランス貴族クロード・グフィエ（1501-1570）の紋章の痕跡が見られます。これは後世にグフィエ家によって付け加えられたものです。

フェルメールの傑作「手紙を書く女」
手紙を書くというテーマを最も意欲的に描いた作品です。女中が窓の外を眺める中、女主人が手紙を書いています。手前の床には、赤い封印、封蝋、そしてくしゃくしゃになった包み紙の手紙か、当時の私信の標準的な道具であった手紙の書き方のマニュアルと思われるものが置かれています。いずれにせよ、これらの品々は、何らかの動揺から女主人が捨ててしまったものと考えられます。フェルメールは
生前、「手紙を書く女」を売却しませんでした。彼の死後、未亡人はパン代を賄うために、この絵ともう一枚の絵を地元のパン屋に寄贈した。

Johannes Vermeer (1632 - 1678) is regarded as one the most important artists in the histery of Eurepean art. He is known as the 'Sphinx of Delft, as most traees of his life have fallen into obseurity. What dees remain,however, are as many as 37 paintings attributed to him, His works show a special interest in seenes of domestic interiors, and the women who occupy them.

メツーは、当時最も優れた才能と多才さを持つ風俗画家の一人でした。この絵と、対となる『手紙を読む女』は、彼の最も有名な作品であり、17世紀に制作されたオランダ風俗画の中でも最高傑作の一つです。どちらの絵にもヨハネス・フェルメールの影響が見られます。手紙を書くというテーマは、1650年代から60年代にかけてのオランダ風俗画家たちの間で非常に人気がありました。この絵は、対となる作品に描かれた女性に手紙を書いている紳士を描いています。男性の流行の黒い衣装とテーブルの上のペルシャ絨毯は、彼が裕福な家庭に育ったことを示唆しています。

道を戻って、Waterfall Iveagh Gardens を探しに行ったのだが、裏口みたいな入場口はクローズしていて入れてくれなかった。

正門の手前の右側には劇作家のオリバー･ゴールドスミス、左側には政治家･思想家のエドモントバークの像があり、どちらもこの大学の卒業生だ。そのほか著名な卒業生としては、ジョナサン･スウィフト、ジョージ･バークリー、オスカー･ワイルド、ブラム?ストーカーなどがいる。また、ノーベル文学賞を受賞したサミュエル･ベケットは1927年にここを卒業している。
オールド･ライブラリー 正門を抜け、正面にある30mの鐘楼の右にオールド･ライブラリーがある。トリニティー･カレッジの図書館は日本の国会図書館同様に法定納本図書館であり、アイルランドおよびイギリスで発行された本の納品が義務づけられている。蔵書数は約500万で、6つの図書館に分かれて収められているが、そのなかでもオールド･ールド?ライブラリーは最も古い建物。1712年、トーマス?バーグによって建てられた。建物の南側に入口があり、展示室はショップの右側にある。
