京都は日本で史跡に富んだ町です。なぜなら、そこは昔、日本の首都だったからです。
Kyoto is the town which is rich ｉｎ historic ｒｅｍａｉｎs in Japan.
Because Kyoto was a capital of Japan in old days.

これは、京都の商人の古い家です。今は資料館になっています。
This photo is an Old house of the merchants of Kyoto, the museum now.

キンシ正宗醸造所、ここは昔日本酒の醸造をしていた場所です。
KINSHI-MASAMUNE Sake Brewery is the place that brewed the Sake(酒) in old days.

澄んだ水は酒の醸造に必要で、醸造所の井戸から水が沸いていました。
Clear water is necessary for the brewing of the Sake, and water boiled from the well in the Brewery.

現在、この水を使ってビールが造られているそうです。
It seems that beer is made from this water now.

私はここで作られたビールを試飲しました。辛口でした。
I tasted the beer made here. It`s taste was dry.

これは祇園の有名な日本料理店の懐石料理です。
This dish was tea-ceremony dishes cooked by a famous Japanese restaurant in Gion area

辛口の京都ビールをこんな料理を食べながら飲むと、もっと美味しいのかもしれません。
When you will drink the dry beer of Kyoto while eating such a dishes, you may feel it more delicious.

青蓮院は静かな京都の観光地です。
Shoren-in Temple is a quiet sightseeing spot in Kyoto.

青蓮院門跡 寺・神社・教会

天皇の家族がこの寺の住職であったため、寺の主な家屋と庭は御所に似せて作られました。
Because a family of the Emperor was Chief priest of Shoren-in Temple, the main house and garden of the temple were modeled after Old Imperial Palace in Kyoto.

知恩院は浄土宗総本山で浄土宗は日本でも有数の仏教派閥の総本山です。
Chion-in (知恩院) is the headquarters of the Jodo Shu.
Jōdo shu meams"The Pure Land School",ｉｔ is leading sect of Buddhism in Japan.

これは三門といいます。知恩院のメインゲートです。
This is San-mon（三門）is Main Gate of Chion-in.

三門は1621年の建立で、これは日本で最大の木造門です。国宝です。
The San-mon was built in 1621,is one of the largest wooden tower gates in Japan.This gate is National Treasure.

(San-mon is the Gate to renounce three kinds of worldly desires and worries.
Through this gate, the people go to the kingdom of Buddha.)

Maikos in Sannen-zaka,the street in Higashiya-ku.

しかし、これは舞妓さんの着物を着た観光客だったのだと思う。かの女たちの言葉は東京弁だったからだ。
But I think that they were the tourists who put on the clothes of the maiko,
because the words that they spoke were Tokyo dialects.

更に、彼女達の靴は舞妓さんが履くものではなかった。
舞妓の正式な履物はおこぼとかぽっこりと言われていて、とても高価である。
In addition, their shoes were different from the shoes of of the maiko.
The official shoes of maiko are called "おこぼ" or "ぽっこり", and very expensive.

本堂は木造舞台で京都の町が見渡せる。
The main hall of kiyomizu-dera.
The main hall's broad wooden veranda, it gives a panoramic view of Kyoto city.

Wagashi is a traditional Japanese sweets.

私は京都で和菓子作成と試食ができた。
この写真の餅菓子は私の作品だ。
I could make and tests Wagashi in Kyoto.
The rice cake in this photo was my work.

京都では観光客の為の和菓子作成教室が多くの和菓子メーカーによって開催されている。
Making Wagashi Lesson for tourists is held by many Wagashi makers in Kyoto.
