６月２９日　晴れ一時大雨　暑すぎ！　Jun. 28, 2006 Sunny, one time heavy rain, VERY HOT!!

今日はいよいよ帰国日。５日間なんてあっという間だ！朝、チェックアウト後、空港へのバス乗り場をフロントで聞いたら静安寺そばにあるとの事だったので、買い物がてらその場所をチェックしに行くことにした。フロントの人はすぐ分かると言っていたが、もし分からなかったら飛行機に乗り遅れるなんてマヌケなことになりそうなので(^^;)>フロントに荷物を預け、ホテル裏の市場に初めて行ってみた。屋台はありとあらゆるものが所狭しとおいてある雑貨屋、市場内は食料品、特に野菜が多かった。朝から人で賑っていた。

わりと庶民的なお茶屋さんがあったのでプーアール、紅茶、ジャスミン茶、通便茶を購入。通便茶は読んで字のごとく、「便秘用のお茶」。「なるほどなぁ」というネーミングでお土産に買うことにした。私は女性にはめずらしくどちらかというと正反対のタイプなのでこんなの飲んだら大変だ！ちなみにこの通便茶、老人用もあった！！どう違うのだろう？作用がソフトなのだろうか(?_?)　最初からパックに入っているお茶もあったが基本的には量り売りで一番安いプーアール茶を買ったのだがすごくよく出るし味もいい。超高級店からこういう庶民的な店で売っているお茶、飲み比べてみるのもおもしろいかもしれない。実は湖心亭で買ったお茶、まだもったいなくて飲んでいません。貧乏性なもんで(^^;)>今度、飲み比べてみようと思う。

Today, we had to go back! 5 days were SO QUICK!! In the morning, we checked out, we asked where the bus stop for the Pudong Int’l Airport was. The front staff told me it was near the Jingan Temple. They said “It’s easy to find” but we were afraid of miss the air plane if we could not find it when we go to the airport. Anyway, we should buy some souvenirs at the supermarket on the way to JIngan Temple,
We went there. At first, we went to the market near the hotel. There were a lots of foods (especially, vegetables), clothes, notes, etc and very crowded.

Then, we walked the street we found the tea shop which was for common people; means inexpensive. I bought one king of Chinese tea、black tea, Jasmine tea and Tea for relieving constipation. It is very difficult to explain, if you don’t know about Chinese character, it is easy to recognize for it is tea for relieving constipation if you can read the Chinese Character. I rarely have constipation not like ordinary women, so if I drink it maybe I should go to the toilet many times in a day!! There were tea for this kind; especially for old people. It is perhaps for relieving constipation more gently. Teas at this shore were very CHEAP and GOOD! Maybe it is very interesting in finding differences between very good quality & expensive tea and very reasonable tea. I have not drunk tea of Huxington Tea House because it was very expensive so I wanted to drink it for special occasions, but I will check the differences. The photo is the view from the hotel room( it was not clear because I took it though the screen window); there were very old apartments and new one which seems very expensive to rent or buy.

静安寺近くの大通りでもお茶屋さんに入った。ちょっと高級な店で、飴やお菓子も売っていた。なぜか世界中でブームの「わさび」を使ったお菓子もあり試食させてもらって購入した。もろわさびの味のナッツのようなお菓子で小包装に分けられた一袋をたいらげるのに鼻がつーんとなって涙なしには食べられない。味は良いが涙付き(T_T)このわさびブームの火付け役って誰なんでしょうね(?_?)TVでオランダではわさび入りゴーダチーズ、タイではわさびを使うのがブームと言っていた(!_!)

案の定、すぐ分かると言われていた空港行きバス停を探すのに炎天下の中歩き回った(+_+)地下鉄の構内に地図があり、場所を見つけられたのにも関わらずである！！場所は静安寺が面した通りの一本先であったのだ！！フロントのおねえさん、旅行者はその土地に不慣れなんですから観光地である静安寺の先にある通りなんて分かるわけがありません！上海國際貴都大飯店というホテルの目の前に停留所があったのでそうやって教えてほしかったです(ToT)写真は毎日お世話になった静安寺までの道。小さい店から大きな店までたくさんある。左に見えるのは中国名物“竹の足場”


Also, we entered the tea shop of middle class, we found the Wasabi taste peanuts snacks. Do you know Wasabi? It is Japanese horseradish and it is very popular all over the world now. It has an extremely strong flavor and hotness is more akin to that of a hot mustard than a chile pepper, producing vapors that burn the sinus cavity rather than the tongue. I saw the TV Program and it said; In Netherlands, they made　“Wasabi Gouda Cheese”, people in Thailand use Wasabi is very popular now. I bought it for souvenir for my father and it is very Wasabi taste and it made me cry because it’s really HOT!!

The front staff told me it was easy to find but IT WAS NOT!!!!! Even if we checked the location of the bus stop on the map at Metro station, we had hard time to find it in the very hot & sunny day!! WE WERE VERY TIRED! But, finally, we found it and it was on the next street from the Jingan Temple!! “Miss, we are the traveler! We don’t know about the next street from the Jingan Temple we have never gone there!! It’s easy to find if you told me the name of the hotel which is just behind of the bus stop!!”

お土産はホテルまでの帰り道にスーパーが何件かあったのでそこで買うことにした。クッキーのようなものを見ていたら上海語でまくしたてられた！あまりにダーっと言われたので「わ、わからない」というのが精一杯だった。同じ顔というのもこういう時困る(+_+)しゃべれないと分かって去っていったが、その時買ったクッキーがあまり美味しくなかったので「それ美味しくないよ」と言われたのか、「それ、美味しい？」って聞かれたのかなと思った。真相は闇の中（？！）だが．．．そこにその名も「王子」というパッケージのお菓子があって迷わず購入！「姫、助けに参りましたぞ！」って感じの絵がおもしろく、あげた人に聞いたら味もおいしかったそうだ。王子クッキー写真は番外編でお披露目します♪お菓子の相場は約２元（３０円）からでクッキーのような物は安く、飴は７元（１０５円）くらいで高めに感じた。ドライフルーツもいくらか忘れてしまったが高く感じた。水は種類によるが中国製の水はコンビニで買っても１．１０元（１６．５円）ジュース類は約５元（７５円）だった。写真は。静安寺までの道の建物。上海では洗濯物の干し方は無法地帯だ！（笑）通常は家の窓から竹の棒を並行ではなく直角にだして干しているが、木、電線、ありとあらゆるものに干してある！割と高級な感じの建物は中に洗濯物を干していたようだ。日中、パジャマや下着のままで出歩いたり、通りに椅子を置き、座ってリラックスしている人も多いのはびっくりした。

We went to the supermarket on the way to the hotel from Jingan Temple, when I looked the package of the one of the cookie, the woman talked me in Shanghai Language so fast!! I just replied, “I don’t know” in Japanese. We have same faces so it is hard to recognized Japanese or Chinese. I bought that cookie but it was not so good. Maybe she said “It is not good” or “Is it good?” but nobody can know about the truth now….Someone should ask her in Shanghai Language!! There was the anther cookie; name was “Prince”. The picture’s Prince might say “I came here to help, Princess”, I liked it and I bought it. I gave it to my friend and she said that she liked this package and the chocolate-chip cookie was Yummy. I will show you the picture of the “Prince cookie” in my next story. Cookies cost around RMB2 and candy cost around RMB7, I felt it was little bit expensive in Shanghai. Compare to Japanese costs, most of them are cheap, though. Water cost RMB1.10, fruit juice cost around RMB5 at the convenience store. The photo is the apartments on the way to Jingan Temple. Shanghai is also renowned for the underwear, clothes and sheets suspended out of windows on bamboo poles above busy pavements, or dripping from wires attached to lampposts and trees in the shadow of gleaming new tower blocks.
Such scenes have become something of a tourist attraction in themselves. But, people who live in condo which should be expensive seemed that they put their laundries inside of the building. We, Japanese, we dry laundry outside is popular, too, but not like in Shanghai, we just put them at the veranda or window at our houses and some people use the laundry dryer is also popular now. So, it is interested for us to see the laundry in Shanghai, too. Also, we were very surprised that some people wearing the pajamas or their under wears walk streets or just sit their chair on the street and relax in the day time!

帰り道、毎日気になっていた巨大ロールケーキを購入！写真も下記にアップしますが日本のロールケーキの
２倍はあるかと思うこのケーキ。値段は２元（３０円）。形は気になれどあまり美味しくないかなと思っていたら美味でした♪あ〜２元ならもっと早く買ってもよかった！！結局これを食べたのは空港のレストラン！さすがに中国のレストランとはいえ、空港のレストランでこれを食べるのは恥ずかしかった(-O-;)

On the back way back to the hotel, I bought the “Giant Roll Cake” which was attracted me every time I walked the streets to Jingan Temple. It was twice as large as Roll cakes in Japan, price was RMB2. I thought it might not so yummy because it was Western shape but maybe the Chinese taste. Do you understand what I mean? But, it was YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! I should have bought it soon after I realized it!! Here is China, but it was shame to eat it at the restaurant in the airport. (+_+) The photo is Giant Roll Cake.
