ブッフェ形式のランチを食べた所が絹工場だった。上手く出来ているものだ（笑）場所は蘇州市第一絹工場。中国語の漢字がないので英語名はSuzhou No.1 Silk Millとなっている。最初、ガイドさん自ら中を案内してくれる。幼虫がたくさんいる所に連れて行かれ、「軟らかくてすべすべしているから触ってみて」と言われたのだが、虫全般が苦手なので躊躇してしまった。何事も経験だと思い、恐る恐る触ってみると「軟らかい！！すべすべして絹みたい！！」そう思ったら人間、勝手ですね。かわいくなって何回もなでなでしてしまいました（笑）もし、皆さん、行くことがあったら騙されたと思って触ってみてください！蚕になる過程等を見て写真の製造工程へ。哀れ、蚕さん、育てられて絹にされるために生きたまま煮沸地獄行き！機械化はされていますが、いろいろな工程で手作業が必要で手間がかかっているので高いのも納得です。蚕の中に二匹いる場合はすでに生地があまれているような状態なので人間が四方からひっぱっていました。それが今、流行している絹布団になるようです。軽くて夏涼しく、冬暖かいそうです。お土産屋を通って次は刺繍工場へ。

The place where we ate lunch (buffet ) was the silk factory. I thought it was well-made (Ha!Ha!)
Name is; “Suzhou No.1 silk Mill. Our guide explained about silk and how to make silk. At first, we saw silkworm and the guide said \\\"Touch because it is soft and is smooth\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" I hate every insects & worms so I was hesitated to touch at the first time. O.K, this is maybe rare experience for me, I tried to touch it. “Oh, this is very soft and smooth!!” I was selfish to think it was very lovely worm! Who thought it was
weird. Yes, it was me!! After that, we saw the process to grow up of a silkworm and how to make the silk , This is the photo of how to make the silk. Oh, poor silkworm! They put into boiling water even if they are alive for making silk!! People are cruel!! I understand silk is expensive because even if the factory are industrialized, hand work is necessary some part of process. If 2 silkworms make one silk ball, 4 women was pulling it from all sides and it become the cloth for the “FUTON (Oriental style of the bed) which is very popular now. It is very light, cool in Summer and warm in Winter. Pass through the souvenir shop, We went to the needle work factory.

蘇州刺繍研究所。これも刺繍です。一見絵のようですが、刺繍。

At the Suzhou needele work factory. This is needlework! It looks like the picture, but it is needle work!

こうして絵を見ながら刺繍していきます。お仕事とはいえ、大変な作業です。そして工場見学としょうして私たちみたいのが「すご〜い！！」とか言いながら見ているのがわずらわしくないのでしょうか？黙々と作業されてました。

They make the exactly the same by their needle work! It is amazing and tough work!! And tourists like us saw this process saying that \\\"Oh, it is wonderful!\\\" during their work. Don\\\'t they think it was annoying them?? But they just was doing their job.

これは売り物の刺繍作品です。猫の毛まで見事に表現されています。本当は写真撮っちゃいけなかったみたいでガイドさんに注意されちゃいました。その後、「写真撮影禁止」の文字に気付いた私でした(^^;)>

This is the needlework which is sold at the souvenirs shop of this factory. Can you see the hair of the cat? It is amazing!! After I took this photo, the guide said to me \\\"No more photo\\\" . Then, I realized it said \\\"DO NOT TAKE PHOTO HERE\\\" Sign, I was so foolish!
