I love tea so I did not want to miss the Huxington Tea House which is located near Yuyuan Garden. It was oldest tea house in Shanghai; established in 1855. I heard that the 2nd floor was so nice, so we wanted go there. But, when we arrived at there, the waitress asked us we would have tea, and we answered “Yes.” She took us to the room which seemed to be the special room for foreign customers. There were 3 tables and two women; one might be the manager of the tea house who was explained tea for the customers and the other was poured tea for them. The customers were; from Germany and Oriental people who spoke English and us. The manager could speak English and Japanese, and she moved to the table to the table and explained tea for all customers. My mother ordered green tea with Lychee flavoured and I ordered flower shaped tea which was very originated in China. Tea was so good and they served us Oolong Tea even if we had not ordered and it was so good, too. We bought some tea here, too! Although it was expensive, you know, I love tea so I wanted to buy those kind of good tea!! But, when we left there we could see they were sold tea near the entrance and those were more reasonable price. If you wanted to buy cheaper one, you should by at the entrance one. Of course, you did not have to buy tea; you could only have tea inside. I might say even if tea were reasonable, compare to tea shop in Town, they might be more expensive, because Huxington Tea House was old- establish store but of course, their tea had good quality.

After we had tea, we went to have lunch at the famous Nanxiang Steamed Stuffed Buns which was also
old-established store. When we arrived at there, it was almost 3 P.M. we wanted to sit & eat, so,
we entered the restaurant part which was located in 2nd floor. You could buy it at the corner of this store which was more reasonable. There were two restaurant part one was snack part and the other was the
meal part. We were lucky to find seats so quick! ! We should pay first at the front, they gave us the receipt. We put it on the table and then, we should wait so long, maybe we felt it like this we were SO HUNGRY!! The waitress carried the stuffed buns (16 in it, RMB15) and we had our water which we brought. In Japan, if you enter the restaurants, usually it is prohibited to bringing in your drink.. But, in China, you can do it! It was good for us to save our money! It was Yummy!! But we thought that the Burned Stuffed Buns were more Yummy!! We bought them at the store which was located on the streets we always went to the Metro. The price was RMB2.80; 4 Burned one and 1 meat Buns!! There was restaurant part and we ate breakfast. The price was RMB9 for 2 rice gruels and 16 Steamed Stuffed Buns!! It was SO CHEAP, don’t you think so? Oh, I was foolish to not take photos and write the name of the restaurant!! The photo is Yuyuan Market. Always crowded by people!!
