I was alone in Mactan (You should not go alone)

I came to Cebu after diving in Bohol.
I was bored staying alone at the resort place like Mactan Cebu.
I didn’t have any other choice, I hung around by the local vehicle which common tourist does not get on.
There is an airport In the Center of Mactan Island. And a resort hotel area is south side. North side is the business district for the local person.
If you come with your girlfriend, you should stay at a resort hotel without hesitation and spend in a relaxed mood.

But I came here alone this time, I stayed at a guest house located near Opon Market which a Japanese owner manages.
Some guest is a Japanese who works here in Cebu and some is the elderly person who comes here many times.
They taught me how I can hung around in Cebu

Not only beginners, even expert tourists have a hard time of jeepney.
Even some of locals avoid to ride jeepney because it’s dangerous.
But it’s very cheep. Jeepney is a must vehicle for philippinos who hate to walk.
If you have the feel of the place, you can get on jeepney by 8 pesos only for one ride.

There is Quezon National Highway at the north of the airport. Opon market is on the west end of the road and Marina Mall is on the east end.
On the way there is Gaisano Mactan, my favorite Japanese restaurant ‘Daruma’ and massage shop Ton Ton where you can get one our massage with only 200 pesos.

If you want to take jeepney you should tell your destination to the driver or the barkar. If they don’t go there he will teach you the right car.
When you want to get off, tap the roof with a coin or shout “pala!”.
It’s difficult to take jeepney if you don’t know where you should get off.

Opon is a market of the common people. They sell underwears of old clothes at the open-air shop.
There is virtuary no sidewalk. Shops , jeepneys , trycycles, morter bikes and walkers formed a harmonious.

I tried to eat my dinner inside but it was very dirty and they didn’t have beer, so I took out the chicken to my hotel.
I bought Red horse beer 500ml bottle and coke. It included the deposit of bottle charges and was 50 pesos.
Whole chicken lechon was 140 pesos.

There was a church in the depths of the market.

It being Sunday, the church was very crowded.

There was a ferry platform passing to Cebu City when I pass through this church.

If you go to Cebu City by car there is a traffic jam and you must make a detour.
Ferry is a foot of the common people because it is cheap and takes short cut.
That’s Metro Ferry, 14 pesos only for adult.
Absurdly cheap!!!

Terminal fee is 1 peso.

Do you check your change 4 pesos before leaving here when you gave him 5 pesos coin?

Seating capacity is about 200 persons.

Only one of me not to mention a tourist.

It has departed as soon as I got on in the last arrival passenger on that day.

You can go to many destination from shopping mall like SM by GT express.

25 pesos to Gasano Mactan, 50 pesos to Danao because it’s far from Cebu City.
Unlike a jeepney, it is a direct drive without the getting on and off on the way.

GT express is useful for whom wants to make a tour of the shopping mall.

I asked "Gaisano Mactan?", the driver picked me up on the seat next to the driver.
I thought that I was lucky but a woman of the baggage with the both hands got on and I was driven to the tight seat of the middle after all.

Instead of not picking up the visitor on the way, either they do not depart until it becomes full.

The capacity It is not the number of seats. It is the state that anyone can no longer get on.
I was bored to hung around, so I went to a resort hotel by trycykle.
The driver was a good fellow,
70 pesos for one way.

I went to Maribago Blue Water Hotel for taking day use.
I can use pool, private beach and restaurant from the morning to the evening with 1300 pesos.
And I can eat buffet lunch free.

The Blue Water for the first time in 12 years was completely redecorated.

It was 158 pesos, so I went to a sari-sari store outside.
If I went to another store which is far from there I could buy cheaper.
But it was just too much bother, I bought it there.

I wrapped it in a towel not to be found by the staff and drank in secret.
Oh,Dragon, what a deplorable action doing only cheapskate coming to the resort hotel like Blue Water!

There are many activities here if you come with your girlfriend.

I have nothing to do anymore.

I found another thing to while away the time.
The massage is very expensive in Japan but very cheap here.
