Overnight stay policy
Only passengers who meet specific requirements are allowed to remain inside the terminal: having arrived after 10:30 pm on commercial transport and holding a flight scheduled before 8:30 am the following day. Proof of travel (itineraries or boarding passes) must be presented if requested by security staff.
Strict rule: Under no circumstances are passengers permitted to lie down on the floor or on the seating. Remaining seated is the only allowed position. Security staff conduct regular patrols and will wake anyone attempting to sleep or lie down.
宿から空港に向かうようなので、上記の夜間滞在条件には合致しないし、横になれないのなら、私も宿をお勧めます。国内線は5時過ぎに着けば良いので（荷物ありで30分前）、普通の生活をしている人なら苦にもならないでしょうし。 -

Sleeping in Christchurch Airport
Christchurch Airport officially closes after the final scheduled flight and reopens at 3:00 AM, but recent traveller reviews suggest some flexibility for passengers arriving late or departing early. In March and April 2026, travellers reported being allowed to remain overnight in the ground-floor public area, where circular sofas offer a more comfortable alternative to the usual metal chairs with armrests. The terminal becomes fairly quiet after the last flights, and recent travellers found the temperature comfortable, although overnight access is not guaranteed and you should not count on remaining airside. ESSによる混乱は春が酷く、夏の休暇シーズンには破綻する可能性があると言われていたものの、それを過ぎれば収束に向かうと思われていましたが、混乱はまだまだ続きそうです。それでも一応対策はできているようです。まあ、4時間半あれば、VNの大幅遅延でもない限り間に合うとは思いますが。

機械と人間とがうまく分けられていないことが混乱のもとのような気がします。慣れている人だけならまだしも、よく事情を飲め込めない人が大挙して利用することに空港側が対応し切れていないのでしょう。これも人手不足が要因なのかも知れません。人の力で上手く捌けば、混乱も起きないのですが。

実は質問ではないのですが、気になったので、イレギュラーな書き込みをさしていただきます。質問締め切りで書き込めない状態ですが、もし、6月以降だとすると、到着時に動揺するのと、今後行かれる人がT1だと思い込むと良くないと思ってあえて同じ土俵で書きます。少しは、これからマルペンサを利用する人の役には立つのではと思い。
確かに現時点では全てがT1です。本来、T2はeasyJet専用なのですが、2020年のコロナ以降閉鎖されています。そうでなければ、恐らくeasyJetが多額の資金を注ぎ込んでいる筈なので、専用ターミナルを最大限活用しているでしょう。ちなみに、シェンゲン締結域内は“国内線“扱いですが、easyjet専用が復活すれば、イタリア国内はもちろん、シェンゲン域内もさらに非シェンゲン国である英国をはじめとした国へもT2から飛ぶでしょう。

Sea, la società che getisce gli aeroporti milanesi di Linate e Malpensa, e la compagnia easyJet annunciano la riapertura del Terminal 2 di Milano Malpensa dal 31 maggio 2023. Chiuso nel 2020 in seguito allo scoppio della pandemia e alla conseguente diminuzione del traffico aereo, il Terminal 2 dell’aeroporto di Malpensa tornerà a essere operativo dall’estate 2023, confermandosi nuovamente la casa esclusiva di easyJet con un look rinnovato che migliorerà ulteriormente l’esperienza di viaggio dei passeggeri.
La riqualificazione del T2
Spiega la Sea in una nota: «I lavori di riqualifica del Terminal 2, iniziati a fine 2022, aumenteranno i servizi rivolti al passeggero attraverso l’utilizzo di tecnologie avanzate, miglioreranno l’efficienza energetica del terminal e offriranno soluzioni tecniche per favorire aeromobili di ultima generazione. Nello specifico al check-in un’area sarà dedicata al self bag drop, macchinari che permettono ai viaggiatori di imbarcare i bagagli in stiva in autonomia anche senza l’assistenza del personale di terra. L'area dei controlli di sicurezza sarà completamente ristrutturata e avrà un lay out più funzionale e grazie all'installazione di nuove linee automatizzate di ultima generazione verranno accorciati i tempi di controllo e attesa dei passeggeri».
要するにコロナ禍、T2は運用停止。それが5月31日から再開。la casa esclusiva di easyJetとあるように、easyJet専用（排他的）ターミナルです。さらに、機械化が進み、荷物も人の手を介さないで預けられるようになるとあります。確かに便利にはなるのですが、人員削減を推進するので、ただでさえ少ない要員で運営するはずです。
