A hotel that should be avoided to stay as much as possible on holidays

長野駅界隈に複数あるビジネスホテルの1つですが、真っ先にお勧めできない要素がいくつかあります。
各客室の広さは一般的なビジネスホテルと同程度で、浴室含め清潔に保たれているのは言うまでもありません。浴室は、ビジネスホテルによく見られる、もはや落としきれない程の汚れは見られない上に、意外にもバスタブは広めであるため、湯を張ってゆったりと浸かることも出来ると思います。
多くの東横INNと同様に、非常に多い客室と比較してもエレベーターの数が2基と少なく、少なくとも休日は目的のフロアになかなかエレベーターが到着出来ず、イライラさせられることもしばしばあります。このホテルの最大の欠点は、チェックイン・チェックアウトのロビーの狭さにあります。特に休日は多くの宿泊客が訪れるため、エレベーターホール前などは大混雑し、場合により身動き出来ないことがあります。それらの客への対応にスタッフが借り出されるため、チェックイン・チェックアウトは専用の機器の使用を促されるのですが、その機器の操作になれていない宿泊客も多く、特にチェックイン手続きにモタモタされることが多いです。結局スタッフとの対話形式でチェックイン手続きをした方が早いことが多く、専用機器導入による効率化が本末転倒になると思います。
長野駅の東口は、善行寺口と比較すると飲食店の数が少なく、食事をする場所が限られてしまう可能性があると思います。その分、夜間は静かに過ごせるでしょう。但し、東口から歩道橋や信号などをやや迂回しながらホテルに向かう必要があり、雨天等悪天候時はやや億劫に感じるかもしれません。天気が悪くなく、観光客もそれ程多くない比較的閑散する時期に利用すると快適に感じられるホテルだと思います。
各客室への入室は、専用のカードキーが必要です。宿泊する客室フロアへ向かうためのエレベーター内にもカードキーをかざすセンサーがあり、それをしないと目的のフロアに停まりません。セキュリティはしっかりしているホテルだと思います。

This is one of several business hotels in the Nagano Station area, but there are a few factors that make it the first one I would not recommend.
The size of each room is comparable to that of a typical business hotel, not to mention the cleanliness of the rooms, including the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not soiled to the point of no longer being able to be cleaned, as is often the case in business hotels, and the bathtub is surprisingly spacious, so you can fill it with hot water for a relaxing soak.
As with many Toyoko INNs, there are only two elevators compared to the very large number of guest rooms, and it's often frustrating, at least on holidays, when the elevator cannot easily reach the desired floor. The biggest drawback of this hotel is the small size of the check-in and check-out lobby. Especially on holidays, many guests visit the hotel, and the area in front of the elevator hall is crowded, sometimes making it difficult for guests to move. Because staff members are dispatched to deal with these guests, they are urged to use special equipment for check-in and check-out, but many guests are not familiar with the operation of such equipment, and they are often slowed down especially in the check-in procedure. In the end, it's often quicker to check in by talking with the staff, and I believe that the introduction of dedicated equipment has essentially reversed the efficiency gains made by the introduction of such equipment.
There are fewer restaurants at the East Exit of Nagano Station than at the Zenkoji Exit, which may limit the number of places to eat. For this reason, it will be quiet at night. However, it's necessary to go from the East Exit to the hotel, bypassing the pedestrian bridge and traffic lights somewhat, which may be a bit of a hassle in bad weather, such as rain. If you use the hotel during a relatively quiet period when the weather is not bad and there are not so many tourists, you will feel comfortable.
A special card key is required to enter each room. There is also a sensor in the elevator to go to the guest room floor where you will be staying, and if you do not hold the card key over the sensor, the elevator will not stop at the desired floor. I think this hotel has a good security system.
