人魚伝説のモデルとも言われるジュゴンを日本で唯一飼育している巨大な水族館といえばココ。。 飼育種類日本一、約1200種3万点もの海や川の生きものを飼育しており、なかでも日本ではここでしか飼育していないジュゴンは必見。 華麗な技に思わず拍手をしてしまうアシカやセイウチのショーは毎日開催。 不思議な形や生態を持った生きものたちを約55種300点も集めた「変な生きもの研究所」も好評公開中。

日本最大の水族館というだけあって、展示されている生物の種類は非常に多く、また水族館そのものも非常に大きく、2～3時間どころ... 続きを読むか1日かけてじっくり周遊しても充分楽しめる水族館と言える。 建物を横断するような通路が敷かれ、その通路から、テーマに則した各展示室に行くことが出来る。そのため、決まった順路は無く、当然、全てを鑑賞しなければならない、というわけでもない。非常に自由度の高い水族館である一方で、小さな子供は迷子になりやすいことに注意が必要である。そんな状況を熟知しているからか、館内のスタッフの配置も多く、館内利用などについて気軽にスタッフに尋ねることが出来るのもこの水族館の特徴の一つと言える。 伊勢・日本の海、極地の海等、各展示室は12のテーマに分けられている。その展示室も水槽は大きく、各展示室が小規模な水族館そのものと言える。アシカなどの食事タイム、ペンギンのお散歩等のコーナーもあるが、実際にセイウチに触れることが出来るイベントなども多数あり、基本的に毎日それらのイベントが行われている。特にセイウチに触れられる機会などほとんど無く、子供にとってまたとない思い出となるだろう。 日本最大であると同時に歴史のある水族館であるため、設備のところどころに古さを感じる。しかし全ての展示室は清潔に保たれ、季節に応じた装飾も施されているため、それらの古めかしさは全く気にならない。鳥羽観光の際は、是非とも訪れたいスポットの一つである。 As the largest aquarium in Japan, the aquarium itself is so large that visitors can spend a full day, not just a few hours, touring around the aquarium and still enjoy themselves. A pathway runs across the building, through which visitors can access each themed exhibition room. Therefore, there is no fixed route, and of course, it is not necessary to visit all of the exhibits. While the aquarium offers a high degree of freedom, visitors should be aware that small children can easily get lost. Perhaps because they are well aware of this situation, the aquarium is well staffed, and one of the characteristics of this aquarium is that visitors can feel free to ask the staff about the use of the aquarium. Each exhibition room is divided into 12 themes, such as Ise and the Sea of Japan, and the Polar Regions. The tanks in these rooms are large, and each room can be described as a small aquarium in itself. There are also corners where sea lions and other animals eat, penguins take a walk, etc., and there are many events where visitors can actually touch walruses, and these events are basically held every day. This is a rare opportunity for children to touch a walrus, and it will be a unique memory for them. As the largest aquarium in Japan and one with a long history, some of the facilities look old. However, all the exhibition rooms are kept clean and decorated according to the season, so the antiquity does not bother me at all. It's one of the must-visit spots when sightseeing in Toba. 閉じる
