Udon diner in a corner of a supermarket, perfect for a quick meal

山形駅西口のスーパーマーケット『マックスバリュ』の1階にあるうどん屋です。多くのうどんチェーン店でも見られる注文プロセスと全く同じで、まず注文カウンターでうどんを注文し、会計の過程で天ぷら等のトッピングを自分でチョイスし、最後に会計を済ませてから食事をします。食後の食器は専用の返却カウンターに返却します。
スーパーマーケットのフロアの一角に店があるため、店の敷地としては広くはなく、席数も20席程度と多くはありません。一方で、席の配置に狭苦しさはほとんどありません。4人用のテーブル席もあるものの、利用者のほとんどは単身者あるいは少人数であり、客の回転も悪くなく、ランチタイムでも必要以上に待たされることなく食事が出来ると思います。
スタッフも、笑顔ではきはきと受け答えしており（空いている時間帯だからかもしれませんが）、好印象でした。

This udon diner is located on the first floor of the "Maxvalu" supermarket at the west exit of Yamagata Station. The ordering process is exactly the same as that found at many udon chain restaurants: first order udon at the order counter, then choose your own toppings such as tempura during the checkout process, and finally pay the bill before eating. After eating, tableware is returned to a special return counter.
Since the diner is located in a corner of a supermarket floor, the premises are not large, and the number of seats is not large (about 20). On the other hand, the seating arrangement is not too cramped, and although there are tables for four people, most customers are singles or small groups, the customer turnover is not too bad, and even at lunchtime you can eat without waiting longer than necessary.
The staff was friendly, smiling, and courteous (perhaps because the restaurant was open at that time of the day), which made a good impression on me.
