野球場、テニスコート、屋外プール、陸上競技場、武道館と、様々なスポーツ施設が凝縮された公園です。しかしそのようなスポーツ施設だけでなく、児童向けの遊具施設もあり、また公園内には神社もあります。これだけの施設がありながら、敷地としては比較的コンパクトです。設備の多さと比較すると駐車場の広さはやや心元ないですが、一方でゆいレールの壺川駅・奥武山公園駅のいずれからもアクセスしやすく、公共交通機関を使用してアクセスする人も多く見られます。
一方で、コンパクトな敷地に多くの施設が詰め込まれているからか、公園内の道幅は比較的狭く、一部はかなり狭いです。ランニングや散策など、人の往来には特に問題ないと思いますが、自転車の乗り入れには注意が必要です。

On the other hand, perhaps because many facilities are packed into a compact site, the paths in the park are relatively narrow, and some are quite narrow. There is no particular problem for running, strolling, or other human traffic, but care should be taken when riding bicycles through the park.
