京都の八坂神社界隈は、多数の土産屋などの店が立ち並んでいますが、ここはその代表格となる喫茶店と言えるでしょう。そのため、平日・休日問わず混雑が続き、特に休日の昼下がりともなれば、だいぶ待たされてしまうことは覚悟しなければなりません。もしこのお店で京都ならではのスイーツを堪能するのであれば、開店直後に食事を済ませた後で、祇園などの周辺を散策するのがいいでしょう。一方で、観光客が比較的少ない冬季は、他の季節に比べればややスムーズに利用出来ると思います。
昔からある店であるにも関わらず、店内は至って清潔。ウッドテイストで落ち着いた雰囲気で、お馴染みである宇治の抹茶を練りこんだパフェを堪能することが出来ます。いくらか追加料金を支払えば、バニラアイスやクリームを抹茶に変えることも出来ます。その分、見た目は完全に緑になり、人によっては見た目が悪いと感じるかもしれませんが、そこはお好みで。他の喫茶店の同程度の量の価格と比較すると、やや高いです。
As you know, there are many shops, restaurants and cafes near Yasaka Shrine and Gion. Among them, this may be a representative cafe. Therefore, this cafe is crowded with tourists everyday. Especially on holiday afternoon, perhaps you may be forced to wait for a long time to use the cafe!
If you'd like to eat desserts at this cafe, I recommend you highly to use this cafe after opening immediately. I guess that you'll not wait or be able to use almost without waiting. Also, in winter, this cafe may be relatively vacant compared to other seasons.
The inside of this cafe is decorated in wood, and very calm and clean. The staple dish is various kinds of parfait. If you pay additional fee, you can change vanilla ice cream and white cream to Matcha cream. Individually, changing all the creams to green makes me feel the appearance a bit bad. The price of those dishes is a bit high than those of the same amount served at other cafes.
