The café has a retro Showa-era atmosphere and appears to be run by an old lady by herself. There are seats on the first and second floors, but for some reason I was urged to take a seat on the second floor even though no one was using the first floor. The only way to get up and down is by stairs, so those with disabilities or large luggage will probably have to use the first floor.
She takes orders, cooks, serves, and pays the bill all by herself. The kitchen is located on the first floor. And there is no bell for ordering, so you either have to go all the way to the first floor to order, or order while someone else is ordering or serving, which is not very efficient. Moreover, during lunch time and other times when there are a lot of people, the customer service seems to be not so good, probably because of the intense workload. It's a pity, because when the number of people decreases and there is more room to talk, the staff is very friendly.
The quality and quantity of the food is nothing to write home about. There are not many restaurants open on Sundays and holidays in the neighborhood, so many people use this café, but I cannot recommend it highly enough.
