The next day, we went to Kenrokuen in Kanazawa first. This is the one of 3 famous gardens in Japan, Kairakuen (Ibaragi), Korakuen (Okayama) and this, Kenrokuen. This trip was already planned bus trip and we had about only 1 hour to go and see.

Kenrokuen was developed for 200 years by the Maeda clan, in Kaga Domain.

With pine trees, there were Yukitsuri on them, for protecting from snow.

I could find cherry blossom (sakura) in this middle of winter.

It is the statue of Yamato Takeru no Mikoto. Who and why?? He is the one of famous mythological hero. This statue was made for the memorial of the dead in the Seinan War after the Meiji Era. He fought against the brothers from the west who did not follow the government, and they likened the people from Ishikawa prefecture fought in this war against Kagoshima (in Kyushu, west part of Japan).
