都内の駅前、拝観無料の紅葉スポット/Amazing (admission free) Autumn leaves spot in front of station in Tokyo area

東京にも紅葉の季節が巡ってきました。一昨日の日曜日に九品仏（世田谷）境内に紅葉を観に行ってきました。毎年訪れているところですが、実は都内から気軽に行けて、色鮮やかな紅葉シーンがコンパクトな敷地の中にみっしりと息づいているという、ある意味非常に“日本的な”観光地になるのではないかと思います。紅葉のピークは今週末くらいかと思いますので、東京に住んでいらっしゃる方は訪れてもよいのではないでしょうか。

週末に紅葉を楽しみに九品仏浄真寺（世田谷、東京）に行ってきました。毎年このシーズンに訪れている場所ですが、いつも決まって訪れるには次のような理由があります。

なぜお勧めなのか？その１：駅前で便利！

　九品仏浄真寺は世田谷区奥沢にある浄土宗のお寺ですが、その場所は東急大井町線九品仏駅から徒歩30秒！駅の改札を出て左側を見れば写真のようにお寺の入り口が見えます。



　　　　I visited Kuhonbutsu Joushinji Temple, Seatagaya Tokyo, to enjoy Autumn leaves. I visit there every season. I have mainly 3 reasons.

Why I can recommend this 1: Location is extremely convenient!

Kuhonbutsu Joushinji Temple is the Jodo sect Temple in Okusawa, Setagaya, and it is located just 30 seconds from Kuhonbutsu station of Tokyu Oimachi line. When you take a look at left side after wicket, you can find the entrance of the temple like the picture.

ここから参道を3分ほど歩くと寺の山門が登場。そこをくぐった途端に色とりどりの紅葉の世界がいきなり始まります。


You walk along the abbey road 3 minutes and you reach the temple gate. After the gate colorful world of Autumn leaves suddenly starts.

ちなみに山門前には猫がくつろいでいます。とても人懐こい猫ちゃん達で一緒に遊んでくれますが、たぶんこっそり餌をもらっているのかな。後で5匹ほど集まってきたのを見たら皆耳にカットがはいっていたので、すでに去勢・避妊手術をしている地域猫でしょう。

I found cats relaxing un der the gate. They are so friendly. Maybe they are fed by neighbor people. Their ears have punches and that is a sign of regional owned cats which were already contracepted.

なぜお勧めなのか？その2：色とりどりの紅葉が美しい！

　このお寺の紅葉は小さな敷地の中にみっしりと、色とりどりの葉が同時に息づいています。ここまでカラフルな風景が目の前に展開している場所はちょっと他には知りません。


小さなフレームの中で鮮やかな紅、黄、緑の葉が映り込んでいます。



Why I can recommend this 2：Colorful Autumn leaves are so beautiful！

Autumn leaves in this temple are so colorful and closely packed in relatively small site. I have never seen such a colorful and compact beautiful Autumn scene in any other places.

なぜお勧めなのか？その3：拝観料が無料！

　ここが京都や鎌倉のような観光地であれば間違いなく「拝観料」を払わなければお寺の中には入れないでしょうが、九品仏浄真寺は拝観料を徴収していません。ただ気を付けていただきたいことは、たとえ無料で入場できるとは言っても、あくまでここは仏様を祀る霊場ですから振舞には細心の注意と、信仰に対する敬意を持ちましょう。もちろん寺内の本堂や、阿弥陀如来像を安置する3つの阿弥陀堂に入るときには、お線香料やお賽銭にも配慮してください。紅葉の美しさだけでなく仏教施設としても非常に興味深いところですので、お寺とそこを信仰する人々への敬意を忘れずにお楽しみください。


Why I can recommend this 3：Admission free！

If it were in Kyoto or Kamakura, you should have needed to pay admission fee. But nothing is charged at Kuhonbutsu Joshinji Temple. However please notice that this is sacred place to enshrine Buddha even though it’s free to enter. Please behave yourself and don’t forget the respect to the faith. Off course you have to consider offertory when you enter the main temple or 3 other temples of Amitabha. This temple is not only the place to enjoy Autumn leaves but very interesting place to learn something about Buddhism. Please enjoy the place and don’t forget the respect to faithful people.
