この仮想東京見物ウォーキングツアーは桜の季節に都内を2日間で徒歩で見物する外国人のために書いたものです。
50年前の1964年に理工系学生の相互訪問プログラムで来日したフランスの学生が夫人同伴で再来日するために2日間の都内見物のコースを設定したので、そのコース周辺のスポットをサイト上で案内するものです。

This Virtual Tokyo Walking Tour is a kind of photo guide book arranged for sightseeing tourists of foreigner.

見物コースは2日間からなり、
1日目
東京スカイツリー→浅草浅草寺→上野→銀座

2日目
国会議事堂→明治神宮→千鳥ヶ淵公園→北の丸公園→皇居東御苑→皇居二重橋→東京駅→丸の内

Places to visit during two days are are as follow.
1st day:
Tokyo sky tree→Asakusa Sensoji→Ueno Parlk→Ginza

2nd day:
Kokkaigijido→Meiji-jingu/shrine→Chidorigafuchi(SAKURA)→Kitanomaru park→East Gardens of the Imperial Palace→Nijubashi→Tokyo station→Marunouchi(1890?）

スカイツリーの先端まで入れた記念撮影スポットは東武橋の近くの川岸遊歩道の入り口（降り口）付近です。

この誇張（強調）遠近法は昨年2013.10.10−12.29ブリジストン美術館で日本初の回顧展が開かれたカイユボットGustave Caillebotteが好んで用いた手法と共通します。彼の「風景に人物を積極的に登場させる風俗風景画」は、私が臨場感を重視するために人物の登場を待って風景を撮るのと似ていて共感を覚えます。
上の写真と同じ構図ですが、かなり違った印象を受けませんか。
どちらが好きかは十人十色です。

The original gate, built by military commander Taira no Kinmasa in 942, stood south of Asakusa in Komagata. It was erected in the present location during the Kamakura period (1192-1333). At that time, statues of Fujin (wind god) and Raijin (thunder god) came to rest at either side of the gate.
People initially offered prayers to these two statues for the protection of the temple against natural disasters including typhoons, floods and fire. Over time, they became the subject of prayers for the benefit of the people, such as for a bountiful harvest and for peace in the world.

The Nakamise shopping street stretches over approximately 250 meters from Kaminarimon to the main grounds of Sensoji Temple. It is lined by more than 50 shops, which offer local specialties and the usual array of tourist souvenirs.

宝蔵門の大提灯
中央の大提灯は｢小舟町｣と書かれており､雷門の大提灯同様去る平成15年10月5日約15年ぶりに新調された。
　　提灯は高さ約３．７メートル、幅約２．７メートル、重さ約４００キロ。製作費は約４００万円といい、中央区の日本橋小舟町の有志が町内の個人や商店、企業約１９０件の寄付を集め実現した。

Sensoji Temple main hall

A national treasure built by third Edo shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu, the Main Hall was obliterated in the March 1945 Tokyo air raids. However, it was reconstructed in October 1958 through donations collected from adherents around Japan. Though it mirrors the original style, the current building features a solid reinforced concrete structure with titanium roof tiles.

The Mitsubishi Ichigokan was designed in 1894 by the English architect Josiah Conder at the invitation of the Japanese government not long after the country had ended a long period of national seclusion. The structure, erected by Mitsubishi as the first Western-style office building in Tokyo’s Marunouchi district, makes use of the Queen Anne style of architecture that was popular in England in the late 19th century. In addition to housing the banking department of Mitsubishi’s headquarters, the three-story building, linked by stairs, was rented out for use as office space. Having aged significantly, the original structure was torn down in 1968, and now, some 40 years later, it has been reconstructed on the same lot according to Conder’s original plans. As part of the restoration project, along with a review of the Meiji-era blueprints and survey maps dating from the building’s dismantling, extensive surveys of various documents, photographs, and extant structural components were conducted. In addition to reusing some of the building’s interior components, such as the handrails for the staircases, the structure was reproduced as faithfully as possible down to the use of specific building methods and architectural techniques. The Mitsubishi Ichigokan, symbolizing the modernization of Japan in the late 19th century, has been reborn as the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, an icon of Tokyo’s Marunouchi district, in 2010.

<丸の内の歴史(Wikipedia)の抜粋>
明治維新後に武家屋敷は取り壊されて官有地となり、陸軍の兵舎・練兵場などになった。陸軍兵営が移転した後の1890年、三菱の2代目当主・岩崎弥之助に150万円で払い下げられた。当時の丸の内は草の生い茂る原野と化しており、三菱ヶ原と呼ばれた。1894年に丸の内最初のオフィスビルである三菱一号館が竣工、これを皮切りにロンドンのロンバード街に倣った赤煉瓦街が建設され、一丁倫敦（いっちょうろんどん）といわれるようになった。三菱の手でオフィス街が築かれたこの地区は、現在に至るも三菱グループ各社の本社や三菱地所所有のオフィスビルが集中する。
