世界中でこの名を持つ場所がどれだけあるか想像もつきませんが、その中で知名度においては決して上位にはこないであろうここは、名峰ラ・メージュの展望台近くにあります。<br />ラ・グラーヴの村からロープウェーでリュイアン峠の展望台までの往復のあと、中間駅ペルー・ダモン駅からハイキング開始です。当初は、エヴァリストゥ・シャンセル小屋を目的地にしていましたが、小屋に到着したとたんハイキング客から《たった十数分で絶景の場所があるから是非行った方が良いよ》と強く勧められ、行ってみることにしました。しかし、途中に僅か十数メートルながら実にいやらしい場所を通過する破目になりました。<br />片側は絶壁の谷で緩斜面の山側は赤土が崩れてトレールを斜面にしているのです。引き返すことも考えましたが、この場所だけならばと慎重にトラヴァースする事にしました。その後は危険な場所は無く、目的地に到着しました。そこは、もう少し雲が少なければ名前負けしないようにも感じましたが、肝を冷やした分を補うに充分なものではありませんでした。同時に、勧めてくれたハイカーも肝を冷やしたのではないかと疑ったものです。容易く誘いに乗った私が悪いのですが。(写真、地図を加えて編集2011/12/8)<br /><br />It was just a traverse of some 10M long.<br />But, it was the most frightened throughout my career of hiking.<br />When I arrived at Cabin of Evariste Chancel, scheduled destination of the day, easily reachable by walking of some 2 hours from intermediary station of cable way to pass of Ruillans, lookout point of La Meije, a middle age couple loudly asked me. 《Have you visited Belvedere reachable only by 10 minutes from here ? It is unbelievable place with a superb view. You should definitely visit it.》<br />My bad! I arrived where the trail was covered by clayish soil flowed from gentle slope of the left side with no fixed rope, and the right side cut by vertical cliff seemingly leading to the hell, again without any guard.<br />And passable trail inclined toward the cliff was of some 30cm width.<br />After hesitation for some seconds by fear, I ventured to pass through not wishing to have to say to the couple that I gave it up.<br />The view from the one of thousands of Belvedere was so-so, not worth the venture.<br />I often make such a bad decision.<br />When I arrived at the cabin again with some cynical, overly praising words to the couple in mind, they were already gone.
