  伊賀上野城の他にも、複数の博物館や記念館、忍者の体験施設など、誰と何人で、どんな目的で来ても楽しめる公園だと思います。春は公園内の至るところに植えられた桜が一斉に花開きますが、それ以外の季節（新緑・紅葉など）でも散策コースにはうってつけで、市民は勿論県外からでも観光客が訪れるスポットとなっています。特に秋には、愛好会が育てた菊の品評会、薪能、城のライトアップなどのイベントが開催されますが、それ以外の季節は休日でもあまり多くの人が訪れるようなスポットではないため、静かな環境でのんびりと散策するには絶好のスポットだと思います。 敷地としては広いものの、特に子供の遊び場としては注意点がいくつかあります。一般に広く開放された公園とは言え、歴史的に重要な文化財も多数あります。加えて林のように木が生い茂っている箇所もあり、特にボールやフリスビー等で遊ぶ際は場所に注意が必要になるでしょう。さらに高石垣等の一部の石垣には転落防止用の柵などがありません。不注意でボールや帽子などの身に着けているものだけでなく自身も転落する恐れがあることに充分注意が必要です。 In addition to Iga Ueno Castle, this park features several museums, memorial halls, and hands-on ninja experience facilities, making it enjoyable for visitors of all ages, group sizes, and interests. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom all across the park, offering a beautiful and iconic view. But even outside of cherry blossom season, the park is a wonderful place to stroll - whether in the fresh greenery of early summer or the vibrant foliage of autumn - and it attracts not only locals but also tourists from outside the region. In autumn, special events such as a chrysanthemum exhibition (hosted by local gardening clubs), open-air Noh performances with firewood lighting (Takigi Noh), and castle illumination take place. During other seasons, however, the park tends to be relatively quiet even on weekends, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing walk. Although the grounds are quite spacious, there are some things to be cautious of - especially if you're visiting with children. While it’s an open public park, it also contains numerous historically significant cultural assets. Some areas are densely wooded, which may limit space for ball games or activities like frisbee. Moreover, certain parts of the high stone walls (ishigaki) lack protective railings, so there is a risk of personal items - or even people - falling if not careful. Please be mindful of your surroundings, especially during active play.
