『おきなわワールド』に限って言えば、正直なところ、玉泉洞への観光誘致のために設けられたテーマパーク、という印象が強い。観光用に整備された玉泉洞の一部の地表部分に、沖縄の伝統的建造物群、ハブの博物館、土産物店、陶芸やガラス製品の工房が建ち並ぶが、そのどれもが「沖縄（あるいは琉球）の文化を広く浅く・概要程度を体験してもらう」要素が強く、じっくり深く鑑賞する・体感してもらう要素は少ないように思う。子供であれば沢山の体験コーナーが揃っているため面白いと感じるだろうが、もしかしたら大人であれば（人に依るかもしれないが）1時間と絶たないうちに飽きてしまうかもしれない。
だからと言って、従事するスタッフがぞんざいな接客対応をするようなことはない。周遊するだけでも1時間は簡単に過ぎてしまう。
数泊分の沖縄旅で、1日分の空きスケジュールがあり、どこに行くか決まってない、といった時、ちょっとした立ち寄りスポットとして行ってみる程度でいいかもしれない。

Speaking specifically of "Okinawa World", to be honest, this place feels very much like a theme park created primarily to attract visitors to Gyokusendo Cave. On the surface above part of the cave system, visitors will find reconstructed traditional Okinawan buildings, a habu snake museum, souvenir shops, and workshops showcasing pottery and glassmaking.
However, most of these attractions seem designed to provide a broad, introductory overview of Okinawan (or Ryukyuan) culture rather than an in-depth exploration of any particular subject. In other words, it's a place where visitors can sample many aspects of local culture, but those looking for a deeper historical or cultural experience may find the exhibits somewhat limited.
Children will likely enjoy the many hands-on activities and interactive attractions. Adults, on the other hand, may find that the experience begins to feel repetitive after less than an hour, depending on their interests.
That said, the staff are by no means inattentive or unfriendly. Customer service is professional and courteous throughout the facility, and even a casual stroll around the grounds can easily take an hour or more.
If you are spending several days in Okinawa and happen to have a free day or a few open hours without a specific destination in mind, this can be a worthwhile stop. It's probably best approached as a casual sightseeing option rather than a must-see cultural attraction.
