長年の波の浸食により、海面に出ている岩がハートの形になっています。古宇利島が『恋島』とも呼ばれていること、CM等にも使われていることから一躍有名になった場所ですが、狭いビーチに我先に記念撮影する観光客でごった返しているためため、人によってはガッカリするかもしれません。また、駐車場からビーチに行くまでの道は、一部で傾斜がきつく、且つ滑りやすいので注意が必要です。障碍を持っている方にはおススメできません。
また、海岸自体が北向きのため、朝日・夕焼けとともに写真撮影、というのも基本的に期待できません。駐車場も、かつては無料で利用できたのが有名になったため有料（300円）になったそうです。とりあえず来てみました、という既成事実を作るのみで、他にも魅力的なスポットはたくさんありますので、そちらに向かうのがいいと思います。
In the spot, rocks shaped like hearts by wave erosion are famous. Kourijima island seems to be called "Koijima island(island for lovers)", and became one of lover's sanctuary, in addition, this spot has been introduced in CM and others. So that the spot became famous.
But actually going there, some people are much disappointed. Because, on the narrow beach, it is crowded with tourists to take pictures striving to be first. The road to the beach is partly sloping treep and slippery, therefore, I can't recommend this spot to people with disabilities.
Because the rocks are facing north from the beach, you can not take picture them with sunrise or sunset.
The parking lot was free once, but it became charged (300 Yen) as the spot became famous. To be honest, I can not recommend staying here for a long time. It is better to move to other attractive sightseeing spots early. This spot may be only an established fact that you came here.
