言わずと知れた目黒の名スポット。人によってはかなりゾワゾワしてしまいそうですが、展示は至ってシンプルで学術的、そしてお子さんにも分かりやすい形式になっています。寄生虫だけでなく寄生生物の標本もあります。
もっと広い展示スペースを想像していましたが、意外とこぢんまりとしていました。無料であることを差し引いても、カップルや親子連れで来館している人が多い、というのもビックリ。かつての日本に比べれば衛生状態は格段と高まったものの、根絶したわけではありませんから、寄生虫の存在、及び罹った時の状況・対処方法を知るにはいい施設だと思います。
海外からの観光客もちらほら見られましたが、展示物はおおむね日本語。英語での紹介もあればいいのかもしれません。

This museum is one of the representative spots in Meguro-ku. Although some visitors may feel uncomfortable, The museum's exhibits are beneficial for most people, because parasites are deeply involved with human life.
Although the exhibition method is academic, it is very simple. I think that children can also be interested in them. And, although exhibition space is unexpectedly small, you may be not care much about it because admission fee is free. Amazingly, there were many visitors of couples. And there are also many tourists from abroad. But, most of the descriptions of exhibits are in Japanese. it may be good that the descriptions of other languages such as English are written together.
