Tsutsuji festival in Nezu shrine, 2013

We went to Tsutsuji (Rhododendron) festival in Nezu shrine, it was my first visit. When I lived in Yokosuka, I went to see tsutsuji in Hayama. I like to do the things according to each seasons.

There were many tsutsuji with different colors. I like this pink color, not too bright, gentle impression.

This shrine was established in 1706, but there is a story that Yamato takeru (legendary prince) founded 1900 years ago.

It was a bit bad weather but many people came and saw.

This is a typical color of tsutsuji in Japan.

Nice red color.

I did not know there were so many variation of tsutsuji.

Look like carpet.

It was difficult to take this photo without anybody! There were so many people coming to this festival at that day.
