I went to Hokuriku again with the 2day bus trip. This time, a bit different destination included; Hida Takayama and Kanazawa castle. I felt much more snow than 2009.
-
The bus brought us to Takayama city, known as Hida Takayama.

Clear water. By the Miyagawa, there is a morning market, but we arrived too late for it.
-
The old town street was preserved.

It seems a local liquor company, Harada Sake Brewery. I have never tried this sake, 山車(sansya), I checked it is dry taste, maybe good to try.

-
We went to the hotel in Toyama after Hidatakayama. I went to Izakaya close to the station, but I forgot the name... I ate grilled yum potato (as before) and fried small shrimp.
-
The next day, the bus brought us to Kanazawa Kenrokuen. I have already been there in 2009, and then I walked a bit more and went to Kanazawa castle park.
-
This castle was founded by Nobunaga Oda, one of the most famous and popular general in Japan, and renovated by Toshiie Maeda in the late of 16th century. I became the army property after Edo period and lost most of the castle in fire at that times. Army stayed there until WW2, and afterwards, this area used for the campus of Kanazawa University. The current castle was built in 2001 for the park project. But the one of the gate is original of 16th century.

Hahaha, it was the day freezing cold!
-
-
The hot water sprinkler on the road was not so common to me.
-
Camelia with snow.
-
I walked a little bit more and went to the old town.
-
Cold permanent...? What is it? This beauty shop looked very old style. Cols permanent means normal permanent in old style, not digital permanent. I do not know well about this kind of things. It seems to put permanent with wet hair, and when the hair is wet, permanent is stronger looks.
-
It is beautiful town but almost totally deserted with this weather.
-
-
The old town by the river.
-
I walked back to Kenrokuen through outside of castle swan road and found a statue of swan.
-
-
It became sunny after a while, the castle looked completely different.
-
This is the view of Shirakawago from Shiroyama observation deck.
-
We could see almost whole Shirakawago.
-

It was different atmosphere from the last time I visited in evening in 2009. I guess same house had lighted up with candles.
