Weekend trip to Atami, 2010

For the residence of Kanagawa, Atami was too close to travel, I thought. But everywhere has new experience. I enjoyed completely here.

Went to Atami with Tokaido line, not so far from Tokyo, and took the Atami Ropeway.

This is 愛錠岬（same sound as love cape, but means love lock cape in Japanese）. There were many wooden plaque on it. Maybe pray for eternal love??

This is Atami castle, but never existed this castle in history, just for tourism. Fake...

Back to the town, the stream with boys.

I went to local bistro and enjoyed Atami beer, i am sorry I did not remember the taste. But nice label.

This is my dream food, squid (less favorite), Ikura (salmon roe) and Uni (sea urchin)! Yummy!

This was the famous statue of Kanichi & Omiya of novel "Konjikiyacha" by Koyo Ozaki, based on sad love story in Atami.

This is the first pine tree of Omiya.... I do not know this concept, Omiya was the character from fiction novel...

I went to Kinomiya shrein, found in 8th century.

Usually there were lion-dogs in the gate of shrine, but foxes in this shrine.

Stayed at 長濱苑（Nagahama-en）in Izu Taga Onsen.

Beef with vegetable.

Seafood. I actually do not like Avalone, and they heated up alive abalone, heated up with fire. It pushed the lid and I really hate this sound... Anyway Avalone was one of the least favorite food...

I went to Akao Herb Garden the next day, it was the Japanese garden "Tensho".

This herb garden was so nice and relaxing.

I ate rose sorbet.

And rose soft cream!
