迷うことに価値のある街マラケシュ（Marrakech）

エッサウィラからバスに揺られマラケシュへ。
約11年ぶりのマラケシュ、新市街はすっかりきれいに整備され、ジャマ・エル・フナ広場も人こそ多いけどカオスの状態からいくぶん秩序のある空間になっているように映った。
でも、当時は旅慣れていなかったせいもあり、そしておどおどしていたこともあって、すべてがグチャグチャに見えていただけなのかもしれないが…。
それにしても旧市街のメディナは相変わらず迷路の様相を呈していて、細い路地が縦横無尽に張り巡らされていて、地図なんて役に立つわけがなく、気の向くままに行きたい方向に歩くのが一番である。
迷った分だけ面白い発見があり、見たこともない景色に遭遇し、予期せぬ出会いがあるように思えた。
どうしても時間がなくてメディナから「脱出」したいときは、「フナ広場はどこか？」とたずねればマラケシュ子が親切に道を教えてくれるはず。
まぁ、尋ねても再び迷うのがオチなのだが…。
