I enjoyed this trip thanks to my host family.<br />I would like to introduce to you my host mother.<br /> Her name is Nooshin. <br />She is very kind and active. <br />My home stay partner whose name is Kaori Kubo, and we have same name, so she always called us <br />“Kaori Jr,” and “Kaori Sr,”. <br /><br />On the first week, she took us to “the Hot Yoga”. <br />It was too hard to keep the yoga posture in the hot room.<br />We give up going there next week. <br />However she goes to the gym three times a week.<br />I was surprised to hear that. <br />She is a powerful woman. <br />I love Nooshin. <br />I miss her very much.... <br /><br />We went shopping at the Downtown with my host family. <br />There were a lot of shops, streets, and people. <br />For example, there were many chocolate shops, ice cream shops, and Starbucks. <br />I ate an apple chocolate; an apple was covered with sweet chocolate. <br />I love sweet dessert, but Canadian is more sweet-toothed than Japanese. <br />After shopping, we went to “the I-MAX” theater.<br /> I was amazed at a huge screen and dynamic sounds. <br />I saw “the Nile” and ”the Deep Sea”.<br /> Both of movies were interesting, but I prefer “the Nile” to “the Deep Sea”. <br />“The Nile” was adventurous and it has a lot of spectacle nature image.<br />I want to see this film again. <br /><br />Ryan and Kevin are powerful boys.<br />Tow guys are our host family.<br />Ryan is 7 years old and Kevin is 4years old.<br /> I played with the guys everyday after school.<br /> They like “hide and seek”, “tap”, and “Nintendo”. <br />I wondered that Japanese game is well known all over the world. <br />Of cause, I like Nintendo game too. <br />I played “the Mario World”, which is Japanese most famous game soft, with them.<br /> <br />I could study useful English phrases in my class. <br />My class teacher is Ms, Julie. <br />She has lived in Japan for a year, so she understood Japanese a little.<br /> She sometimes speaks Japanese with us during lunch time. <br />We did many activities in class. <br />For example, we went to the mountain and made “Inukusuk” which is made of stones and it is symbol of Vancouver Olympic. <br /><br />On 20th February we visited to Monterey School to teach about Japanese culture. <br />I taught 7~10 years old children about how to make “Origami craft”. <br />I folded many crafts with kids, for example a crane, an air plane, a balloon, a ninja helmet, and a heart.<br /> It was difficult for me to understand them how to fold “Origami”. <br />The most popular Origami craft was an air plane and a ninja helmet.<br /> It was precious experience.<br /> I could spent good time with kids.<br /><br />Last week we went shopping in the Downtown by ourselves. <br />I bought maple syrups, maple cookies, and maple chocolates for souvenir.<br /> And then, we ate noodle soup at the Chinese restaurant. <br />I didn’t eat Japanese taste noodle for a long time, so I felt be homesick for Japanese food. <br />After eating lunch, we went to “value village” in Chinatown. <br />The day before, my friend told me that if I like second hand clothes, I should go there. <br />Most of all clothe prices were not more than 5 dollars.<br /> It was dirt cheep!<br /> I bought many, many clothes and shoes, so that my extra bag was filled with the value village’s clothes.<br /> I want to go shopping there again. <br />I wish value village is built in Japan. <br /> <br /><br />On the weekend my host family and we had dinner at the McDonald’s.<br />Canadian McDonald’s is different from Japanese McDonald’s. <br />There is a big play place in Canadian McDonald’s. <br />On the other hand, Japanese McDonald’s just a place to eat, not to play.<br /> After eating dinner, Ryan, Kevin, and we played with other children at the play place. <br />This place doesn’t admit to play over 12 years old.<br /> However parents can play there, so we played there as their parents.<br /> I could speak and take pictures with children. <br /> <br />On 25th February, we went to the Beacon Hill Park.<br /> This park was very vast and huge.<br /> There were a lot of sea gulls and ducks in the park.<br /> We also went to the zoo. <br />I could touch goats and kids. <br />I could see peacocks very close. <br />It was the first time to see a peacock in his pride. <br />Their feathers were brilliant and shiny, sometimes these color were changed by reflection of the sun shine. <br />After that, we took part in the Ryan’s school party.<br /> This party is called “the Happy Ayyam-i-Ha”. <br />It took place at Camosun college and city gymnasium.<br /> We ate special dinner there. <br />Every smorgasbord was delicious. <br />I talked many people at the party. <br />I met a lot of people and had a lot of experiences throughout this CCS1 program. <br />I shall never forget visiting Canada！！！！ <br />
