ちょこっと掛川　　Ein bisschen Kakegawa

不謹慎かもしれませんが、17日に掛川に住んでいた叔母が亡くなり、その葬儀の前に掛川城を見てきました。


It might be a imprudent behaviour, I went and see the Kakegawa castle before my aunt's funeral, who died in 17th, March.

掛川駅北口を出て、大きな通りを5分くらい歩くと、天守閣が見えてきます。インターネットで掛川の観光情報を見るまで、掛川にお城があることを知りませんでした。


Out of the north exit of Kakegawa station and after 5 minutes walk down the main street, I could see the Tenshukaku (tower) of Kakegawa castle. I didn't know this castle at all before checking the tourist information of Kakegawa.

ここでも春の訪れを感じることができました


I could feel a breath of Spring here.

雨粒が花びらを可憐に見せてくれている気がします

Rain drops gave pretty impression on blossoms.

お城と梅の花、とっても日本らしい眺めですね


The castle and blossoms, it might be the scenery as typical Japan.

お城の前の広場の入り口にしゃちほこが…しゃちほこといえば名古屋の印象しかないですが、よくよく掛川上の天守閣の屋根にもありました！

There is Shachihoko at the entrance of the platz in front of the castle...it is the imaginary animal with tiger face and fish body, causing rain, so it is said to protect architecture from fire. The Golden shachihoko on the top of Nagoya castle is very famous in Japan. But, there is! On the roof of Kakegawa castle too!
