I am in Sweden now and thinking to go to Copenhagen from Helsingborg (Sweden) by train.
Then I want to go to Helsinki for a few days and Tallin by ferry for a day trip. Afterwards, I am going to fly to Helsinki to Holland.
I wonder what the best way to go to Helsinki from Copenhagen...
Does anyone know how long it would take by train?
I have checked a flight between those countries and it costs about EUR113.
It seems to be expensive for me but if train ticket costs about same, I prefer to take a flight.

Dear traveling-san,
If the train fee from Copenhagen to Stockholm is less than 40 Euro, it will better to use train and flight from Stockholm to Helsinki. The flight fees are almost 90 dollars using SAS, and then Finair is 120 dollars.

I think it takes almost 5 hours from Copenhagen to Stockholm by train.
And it takes almost 20 hours from Copenhagen to Helsinki by train, but I do not know about the fees.

I could not find any route using the following sites.

And as you know there is a bus.

But it only afford from Copenhagen to Poland.
So I think if you change the route, for example, from Stockholm to Helsinki, then to Talin, then to Lithuania, then to Copenhagen, then to Holland, it will be cheaper.

The best way, and probably the almost only viable option for most people, is to fly from Copenhagen to Helsinki.
By train, you would have to either go via a far northern Lappish land border between Sweden and Finland, or use backup bus routes for several disconnected railway sections in the Baltic states, unless you consider detouring all the way through Belarus or Russia.
The total train fare would definitely exceed 113e.
A far more realistic option would be the ferry service between Stockholm and Helsinki, which I wonder may cost more than the said airfare of 113e.
Another alternative would be international buses. A typical connection includes changes at Warsaw and Tallinn (to ferry). Refer to the Eurolines website for details.お礼
Thank you for your reply.
Taking a flight to Helsinki seems to be the best way as regarding of costs and time.
I also think the flight ticket around EUR113 is not too bad.
Thanks again! (by travelingさん)0 票
