郡山市民の憩いの場となっている公園です。
公園内には明確な仕切りはないものの、東側と西側に区分けされており、東側にはスタジアムや競技場などのスポーツ施設、西側には遊具や広場などの遊び場・憩いの場の施設があります。公園の近隣の住民が穏やかなひと時を過ごすために利用すること、郡山駅とは距離（2.5km程度）があるため休日でも公園内及び周辺は比較的静かであるため、とても過ごしやすいです。駐車場もありますが、ほとんどが東側のスポーツ競技目的で利用する人が多く、競技のない日は休日であっても比較的空いています。
子供が遊ぶための遊具を備えたスペースがあり、しかも公園内の複数個所に点在しているため、遊具を独り占めされるなどトラブルになるようなことはほとんど見られません。一方で公園中央の五十鈴湖の周囲の柵は低めに設定されているため、ボールやフリスビー遊びの際は充分に注意する必要があります。

The park is a place of recreation and relaxation for the citizens of Koriyama.
Although there is no clear partition in the park, it's divided into an east side and a west side. The east side has sports facilities such as a stadium and an athletic field, while the west side has playground and recreational facilities such as playground equipment and open space. Residents living near the park use the park to spend a peaceful moment, and because of the distance from Koriyama Station (about 2.5 km), the park and its surroundings are relatively quiet even on holidays, making it very comfortable. There is a parking lot, but most people use it for sports competitions on the east side of the park, and it's relatively empty on days when there are no competitions, even on holidays.
There are some spaces for children to play on the playground equipment, and since these are scattered in several locations throughout the park, there is little chance of trouble, such as children having the equipment all to themselves. On the other hand, the fence around Lake Isuzu in the center of the park is set low, so you need to be very careful when playing with a ball or Frisbee.
