小規模ながら、『ジャーナル・オブ・ジャパニーズ・ガーデニング』に常に上位に選ばれたことで人気を集めている、回遊式の庭園です。この庭園ならではの特徴的な造形があるわけではない、いわゆる典型的な日本庭園ではありますが、だからこその普遍的な景観を先入観無しに楽しむことが出来ます。周囲には高い建物がほとんど無いため、庭園としての景観が損なわれることがありません。また北陸の比較的降雪の多い地域でもあるため、雪化粧を楽しめる庭園の一つでもあります。
拝観料も大人220円と安く、夏季であれば早朝の時間帯に無料で拝観することが出来ます（但し茶屋の中に入ることは出来ません）。
Although it's a small garden, it has been gaining popularity because it has been consistently selected as one of the top gardens in the Journal of Japanese Gardening. Although it's a typical Japanese garden with no unique formations, you can enjoy the universal scenery without any preconceptions. There are almost no tall buildings in the surrounding area, so the garden scenery is not spoiled. It is also one of the gardens where you can enjoy the snow-covered scenery since it is located in the Hokuriku region where there is relatively a lot of snowfall.
The admission fee is only 220 yen for adults, and during the summer, you can visit the garden for free in the early morning hours (but you cannot enter the teahouse).
