山手線と京浜東北線の高架下にある小さなラーメン店です。小ぢんまりとしているだけでなくまるで目立たない外装をしているのですが、却って興味を引くかもしれません。席はカウンター席のみで通路も狭く、通路を挟んで座席の後ろ側に食材が入っている荷物が積まれていたりします。とは言え不衛生というわけではないので、非常に気になるという程ではありません。
入り口付近にある券売機で食券を購入します。このような小ぢんまりとした店の構えとは裏腹に、トッピングの食材はかなり奇抜です。一方で盛り付けは過度に奇抜ではなくシンプルです。まろやかな風味のスープをベースに、トッピングされたペースト状の醤油をスープに混ぜて味を調節しながら食べることが出来ます。卓上の調味料でも味を調節できますが、こうした様々な方法で味を調節できるのもこの店の特徴の一つかもしれません。
It's a small Ramen restaurant located under the elevated railway tracks of the Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines. Not only is it small, but it also has an inconspicuous exterior, which is perhaps what makes it so interesting. There are only counter seats and the aisles are narrow, and there are piles of boxes of food behind the seats across the aisle. However, it's not unsanitary, so it's not too much of a bother.
You need to purchase a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine near the entrance. Despite the small size of the restaurant, the topping ingredients are quite bizarre. On the other hand, the presentation is simple and not overly eccentric. The soup is based on a mildly flavored broth, and the topping is a paste of soy sauce that can be mixed with the soup to adjust the flavor. You can adjust the taste with the seasonings on the table, but perhaps one of the features of this restaurant is that you can adjust the taste in various ways.
