東京スカイツリーが開業されて以降、業平周辺にもおしゃれなカフェやレストランが建ち並ぶようになりましたが、かつての下町情緒の面影を残している定食屋も多く、その典型例がこの食堂と言えます。店内は清潔さが保たれており、調度品も決して古めかしくないのにどこか懐かしさを覚えます。定食のメインディッシュは焼き魚や唐揚げというこれまた定食屋の基本で、奇を衒ったところが一切なく、その分気を楽にして利用できるかもしれません。
見たところメニューは日本語表記のみ、支払いは現金のみのようです。海外からの観光客には少々利用しづらいかもしれませんが、『日本の下町の食堂』を体感する上で一番いいモデルケースのお店かもしれません。

The store is kept clean, and the furniture will feel nostalgic but not old. The main dish of the set meal is a standard dish such as Grilled fish or Kara-age(Fried chicken), and there is nothing unique.
It may be if you ask the staffs, but at least there seems to be no menu other than Japanese. The payment method seems to be cash only. Although it may be difficult for foreign tourists to use this restaurant, I think it is one of the best restaurants to experience "a restaurant in the downtown area of Japan".
