ほぼ長方形の形をした干潟で、都心からも近く手軽に野鳥観察が出来るスポットの一つです。干潟の周囲には住宅街で、バラ園や小さな公園以外に遊びの施設が少なく、またレストランやカフェも周辺にはほとんど無いため、都心から近いにもかかわらず訪れる人もそれほど多くはなく、野鳥観察しながら静かにのんびりと散策するには最適な場所だと思います。
周囲は住宅地であるため、特に夏場は湿気と不快な生活臭が漂うことがありますが、開放された空間であるため匂いが籠もることはありません。ただジメジメした季節ではその不快な匂いが強く感じることもあります。お勧めの季節は、秋から冬の爽やかな空気の日です。また雨宿りする場所も少ないため、雨の日の散策は不向きです。周辺に高い建物が無いため、干潟だけでなく広々とした空の広さを楽しむのもいいかもしれません。

The shape of the tidal flat is almost rectangular, so you'll not get lost by a walk there. Although it is located near the center of Tokyo and its surroundings are residential areas, many kinds of wild birds live. Meanwhile, there are very few playing facilities, restaurants or cafes around the tidal flats except for the rose garden. It might be one of the best places to stroll away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Because it is a residential area around it, there is sometimes stench in particular in the summer. Fortunately, because it is open space, so its stench hardly gets caught. Still, I do not recommend to you walking on rainy days. That is why the stench is more offensive than sunny days, and there are few places to rain shelter.
The seasons I'd like to recommend to you for a walk there are autumn and winter. Since there are few high buildings around the tideland, it may be good to enjoy not only tidal flats but also a vast sky.
