海水魚から淡水魚、深海から水面付近まで、よく見られる魚から珍しい魚まで多種多様な魚を観賞することが出来る国内有数の水族館です。見せ方にも非常に工夫を凝らしており、単に目の高さのガラス越しに魚の遊泳を展示しているだけでなく、足元から頭上まで、まるで人間が展示されてるかのようで見応えがあります。水族館にはよくあるアシカショーはありますが、都会のビルの屋上に設置されているからか、イルカのショーはありません。
魚だけでなく海に生きる生物や、カエルやカメ等の進化の過程を垣間見れるような生物も展示されています。他にも、特徴的な性質や生態を持つ動物だけの企画展もあり、飽きることはありません。基本的に日本語での展示が主体ですが、スマートフォンを利用することで英語・中国語・韓国語の多言語でのガイドも利用できます。
入場料は2,200円と高めの設定ですが、年間パスポートが4,400円と2回分の料金ですので、年間パスポートを購入する方がいいかもしれません。
但し、おすすめの来場日は、平日の午前中。平日の午後は、鑑賞にそれほど支障はないもののやや混雑している、という印象は否めません。そのため、土日祝日の混雑ぶりは推して知るべし。それでも土日祝日の鑑賞であれば、午前中の来館をお勧めします。

It is not only that they are being exhibited over the glass by person's eye line, but also they are exhibited at feet and overhead! You'll get the confusion that you are exhibited yourself. Although there is a show by sea lions, there is no show by dolphins.
Not only aquatic life but also frogs and tortoises are exhibited. Sometimes exhibitions that only animals with specific properties and biology are exhibited. You will never get bored. Although the main language of the explanatory note is Japanese, there is a ingenuity that you can read the explanatory on English, Chinese and Korean by using your smartphones.
The admission fee is 2,200 yen, you think that it is somewhat expensive. The annual passport is 4,400 yen, which is the fee for two admission fees. If you want to visit this aquarium over and over, I recommend you to purchase an annual passport.
However, I recommend you highly to use this aquarium during the weekday morning. Even weekday afternoons, there are a lot of visitors and it gets crowded. In weekends and holidays, you'll get tired only. If your visiting is weekends or holidays, I recommend you highly to visit in the morning.
