マニラ最古の地区　イントラムロスの散策

今回のフィリピン訪問の目的はダイビング。
本当はボホール島へ行きたかったのだが、年末年始ということもあり予約が一杯で残念ながらチケットが取れず、急遽予定を変更し（と言ってもほとんど予定を立ててないに等しかったのだが）、マニラ郊外のダイビングスポット、アニラオへ向かうことにした。

その前にマニラで1泊2日の滞在時間があったので、マニラの街歩きに出かけた。
なんとなくマニラは物騒なイメージがあったので、行き当たりばったりさまようのではなく、マニラ最古の地区と言われるイントラムロスに限っての散策を楽しんだ。
スペインの旧市街のような雰囲気をとどめており、静かなたたずまいで街歩きにはもってこいの空間で、ちょうどクリスマスでお祭りや大きなミサが行われていて、キリスト教国フィリピンの雰囲気を少しではあるが感じることができた。
