The history of this city must teach us how important it is what a city is called. Taking a look at the history of 20th century, its ruler has been changed 4 times as well as its name: Austria (Lemberg), Poland (Lwow), the Soviet Union (Lvov) and Ukraine(Lviv). If you're able to speak in any Slavic language, it's worth visiting and enjoying its historic quarter (English seemed useless for communication in most cases).
