ほったらかし温泉の敷地内にある飲食を提供する施設で、レストランと言うよりも注文と出来上がった料理を提供するだけのスタンド、という位置づけです。基本的に専用の飲食用スペースは設けられておらず、敷地内のオープンスペースや休憩所内のベンチ等を利用して飲食します。天気のいい日であれば遠くの富士山や眼下に広がる甲府盆地の絶景を見ながら食事を楽しめるかもしれません。
ほったらかし温泉自体が日の出から営業している関係上、この施設も早朝と昼以降とで提供される料理が異なります。早朝は主に卵かけご飯が、昼以降はカレーが主体となっています。場所柄新鮮な食材を用意しやすく、そういった食材を使った料理を求めて多くの人が利用するように見受けられます（早朝提供の卵かけご飯は特に）。盛り付け自体特に奇を衒ったところはありませんし、特別な味付けが施されているわけではありませんが、温泉に浸かった後の絶景を眺めながらの食事は格別なものになると思います。
注文した料理が出来上がった際は、口頭で呼ばれ、フードコート等で見られるブザー等はありません。そのため、注文後この施設から離れた場所に行くことは避けた方がいいでしょう。基本的にメニューは全て日本語で書かれているため、海外からの観光客には少し分かりづらいかもしれません。

This is a food stand located within the grounds of Hottarakashi Onsen. Rather than a full-service restaurant, it functions as a simple counter where you place your order and pick up your food when it's ready. There is no dedicated dining area; instead, visitors eat in open spaces around the site or on benches in nearby rest areas. On clear days, you can enjoy your meal while taking in spectacular views of Mt. Fuji and the Kofu Basin below.
Since Hottarakashi Onsen opens from sunrise, the menu here changes depending on the time of day. In the early morning, the main offering is tamago-kake gohan (rice with raw egg), while from around midday onward, curry becomes the primary option. Thanks to the location, fresh ingredients are readily available, and many visitors come specifically to enjoy dishes made with them - especially the early-morning egg rice. The presentation is simple and the seasoning is not particularly elaborate, but enjoying a meal after a hot spring bath while overlooking such scenery makes for a truly special experience.
When your order is ready, your name is called out verbally - there are no buzzers like those used in food courts. For this reason, it’s best not to wander too far from the stand after ordering. Also, the menu is written primarily in Japanese, which may be a bit difficult for international visitors to navigate.
