言わずと知れた世界有数の規模と来場者数を誇るテーマパークで、東京ディズニーリゾートを構成するテーマパークの一つです（もう一つは『東京ディズニーシー』）。平日休日問わず多くの人が訪れ、平日こそやや空いているものの、それでも人気のアトラクションは行列に並び入場までに20分以上を要します。特段のイベントもない平日ですらこの状況であるため、ハロウィンやクリスマスなどのイベント時の混雑振りは推して知るべしでしょう。とは言え、全てのエリアにおいて没入感に浸れるような世界観に作り込まれているため、アトラクションを楽しまなくてもテーマパーク内を歩くだけでもその世界観を存分に楽しむことが出来るでしょう。
『ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン』と異なり、ウォルト・ディズニー・カンパニーの書く作品の世界観やキャラクターのみで構成されているため、『ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン』の雑多な世界観とは異なり、（エリアごとに世界観を異にしているとは言え）統一された構成になっています。どちらかと言えば魔法やファンタジーの雰囲気を醸し出すエリアが多く、その雰囲気に深く没入できる人にとっては最適のテーマパークだと思います。
それ以上にこのテーマパークを支えているのが、『ディズニーキャスト』と呼ばれるスタッフの方々です。少なくとも目にした範囲ではほぼ全員がプロ意識を持ちつつ、来場客を楽しませ、同時に自分も楽しもうとしています。時折来場客に声を掛けて笑わせてくるなど、細やかな対応は素晴らしいと思いました。
パーク内を思う存分楽しむには、そのための時間帯や費やすお金などを事前に綿密に計画する必要がありますが、たとえ雰囲気だけでも充分に楽しめますし、比較的空いているアトラクションでも全く楽しめない、ということはありません。『ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン』と異なり、屋内もしくは風雨を極力避ける設備が整っているアトラクションが多いため、多少の悪天候では特段中止にならず楽しむことが出来ると思います。

Tokyo Disneyland is one of the two major theme parks that make up the Tokyo Disney Resort (the other being Tokyo DisneySea) and is widely known for its massive scale and number of visitors. Crowds are present year-round, and even on weekdays - which tend to be slightly less busy - popular attractions often have wait times exceeding 20 minutes. Given this, you can expect significantly heavier crowds during seasonal events such as Halloween or Christmas.
That said, the park is meticulously designed to offer an immersive experience in every area. Even without riding any attractions, simply walking through the park and soaking in the atmosphere can be a highly enjoyable experience.
Unlike Universal Studios Japan, which features a mix of various film franchises, Tokyo Disneyland is entirely themed around the works and characters of The Walt Disney Company. While each area presents a unique setting, the overall park maintains a cohesive tone - often leaning into magical and fantastical themes. This makes it an ideal destination for those who truly appreciate being immersed in fairy tale-like worlds.
What truly sets the park apart is the cast members - known as “Disney Cast Members.” In every encounter, they display a high level of professionalism and dedication to creating a joyful experience for guests. Many even go out of their way to interact with visitors in charming and amusing ways, adding to the magic of the day.
To make the most of your visit, it's advisable to carefully plan your time and budget in advance. However, even a spontaneous visit just to enjoy the atmosphere can be rewarding. Compared to Universal Studios Japan, Tokyo Disneyland also offers more indoor attractions or weather-shielded facilities, making it a comfortable destination even in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
