浜松町・大門界隈には飲食店が多いからか、増上寺の境内にこのカフェがあることを知っている参拝客や観光客は意外にも少ないかもしれません。ほとんどの参拝客や観光客は、増上寺の三解脱門から大殿に向かう参道を利用し、このカフェは参道から見ると鐘楼堂に隠れているため、カフェの存在すら知らず参拝を終えるからだと思います。そのためか、休日でも利用する人は多くなく、快適に利用することが出来ます。
コーヒー等も提供されていますが、多くのドリンクやスイーツが、抹茶や餡子を使用した、日本のテイストを活用したものばかりです。見た目にも凝っているため、客が少ない時でも、給仕にはやや時間を要しますが、その分味だけでなく見た目も充分に楽しむことが出来ます。スイーツはいずれも甘さ控えめであるため、甘いものが苦手な人でも楽しめます。テラス席もあり、フロアーには段差等はほとんど無いため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方や大きな荷物を持つ方でも気軽に利用できます。
カフェ内も非常に落ち着いた空間となっており、ところどころにさりげなく置かれた日本の骨董品が、心地よい空間を醸し出しています。是非ともお勧めしたいカフェです。

Most visitors and tourists use the approach to the temple from Zojo-ji Temple's gate to the main hall, and this cafe is hidden by the bell tower hall when seen from the approach, so they probably finish their visit without even knowing that the cafe exists. Perhaps this is why there are not many people using the café even on holidays, making it a comfortable place to use.
Coffee and other beverages are also served, but many of the drinks and sweets are made with matcha green tea or red bean paste and utilize Japanese tastes. Because of the elaborate presentation, it takes some time to serve even when there are only a few customers, but this allows customers to fully enjoy not only the taste but also the appearance. The sweets are all moderately sweet, so even those with a sweet tooth can enjoy them. There is also terrace seating, and since there are almost no steps on the floor, even people with disabilities such as wheelchairs or people with large luggage can easily use the cafe.
The interior of the cafe is very relaxing, and Japanese antiques casually placed here and there create a comfortable atmosphere. We highly recommend this cafe.
