目の前が日暮里駅であるため、電車が行き交う音が聞こえるのですが、それもまるでどこか遠くから聞こえるかのような静かなお寺です。
そんな静かな境内だからか、境内のところどころに植えられている蓮や建物（特に窓の形）がどことなく極楽浄土のような雰囲気を醸し出しています。境内の広さは周遊するだけであれば10分程度で済むほどの広さです。本尊として据えられている阿弥陀如来坐像が特徴です。
車椅子等の障碍を持つ方を持つ方にも利用しやすい様に、門から境内と間にはスロープが石製のスロープが敷かれているのですが、雨の日は滑りやすくなっていることに注意が必要です。また門の外の道は狭く入り組んでいるため、歩行者や自転車の接触事故が起こりやすいところにも注意が必要です。

The size of precincts are only takes about 10 minutes to walk around. The main feature of the temple is the seated statue of Amitabha Buddha.
There is a stone slope between the gate and the temple grounds to make it easier for people with disabilities such as wheelchairs to use the temple, but be aware that it can be slippery on rainy days. Also, the road outside the gate is narrow and intricate, so pedestrians and bicyclists need to be aware of the possibility of accidents.
