『芸術と文化の集合体』と言っても過言ではない程に魅力の詰まった公園。科学・美術・舞台・神社仏閣・路上パフォーマンス等、古今東西問わずありとあらゆる芸術や文化がこの公園に集っている。特に何らかのイベントがなくても散策するだけで充分に楽しめる広さを誇る。公園に植えられている桜並木は春の東京の名所の代名詞で、花見のために国内外から多くの観光客が訪れる。
東京観光において最も有名なスポットの一つであるだけに、桜が満開の時期を始めイベントが開催されている時は多くの観光客が詰めかけ、時に静かな公園の風情が台無しになることがある。また一部の心無い客によりゴミが散乱し、とても汚い時がある。そのゴミの中の食べ物を狙ってカラスなどが集まり、糞を撒き散らすから余計に汚くなる。混雑している時期や時間帯を避け、マナーを守りながら散策すれば、素晴らしい時間を過ごすことが出来る。

Crows and other animals gather to eat the food in the garbage and spread their feces around, making it even dirtier.
